- Bug fixes
Fury Unleashed is a high-octane roguelite that manages to bring the frantic energy of 'Metal Slug' into the modern era. The 'comic book' aesthetic isn't just a visual choice; it’s integrated into the gameplay, as you move between panels and pages of a living graphic novel.
The combo system is the heart of the game—the better you play without taking damage, the more powerful you become, leading to a satisfying 'flow state' where you are essentially an unstoppable force of nature. The permanent progression tree is deep, ensuring that even failed runs contribute to your ultimate power. It is one of the tightest-controlling action games on mobile and a must-play for fans of challenging, fast-paced platforming shooters.
Unique comic book visual style
Fluid, fast-paced combat mechanics
Local and online co-op modes
Highly customizable difficulty settings
Your shield and health regeneration are tied to your combo meter. Use your dash to close the gap between enemies to keep the meter from draining, even if you aren't firing.
Prioritize 'Ink Gain' in the early game. This allows you to unlock permanent stat boosts faster, making later chapters significantly easier to manage.
Yes, Fury Unleashed has native support for MFi, Xbox, and PlayStation controllers.
I can’t comment on how good the porting was since this is the first platform I’ve played it on, but wow. This has already secured its spot right alongside Dead Cells as a game that I dumped at least 20 hours of play time into the first week I had it. And now after I’ve beat it and opened up the other modes and unlocked all the characters and weapons and what-not, I’m still playing it a LOT. Just trying to better my scores. The gameplay is super fluid - even with touch screen controls (if you’re use to playing games on your screen without a controller, you’ll be fine here [after adjusting for that strange-at-first jump button positioning]), the graphics (even though I’m no stickler for pretty shapes and colors) are super wicked, and THANK YOU for including a battery saver option!! At first I wasn’t sure I’d be able to play much, but with that on, I barely burn any battery juice after an hour of play time on my iP11. My brain loves ya. My wife hates ya. My REM sleep is no more.... all thanks to the adrenaline rush of trying to chain together a 300 combo across multiple sages. =D Thank you for bringing this to the iOS world. We needed it.
So far I’m pretty happy with the mobile port obviously not as good as using a controller but one issue that I saw someone else mentioned is I see no button for dash…I believe it’s an air dash but nothing was mentioned in the tutorial and I don’t see any buttons…unless this is an upgrade that you unlock but I don’t think it is. Hopefully I’ll get this figured out but the quality upon release is pretty good, and I’m sure will only get better with updates. But how do you dash?
Worth the dough! I’m a Platformer junkie and it can be hard to find ones I love - this game, like another reviewer said, reminds of Dead Cells because of its quality, playability, re-playability, weaponry and upgrades etc etc… a totally different and unique game but the similarities they share are fantastic qualities in a platformer. Def worth the money. A very unique, interesting, creative and fun game. Love was put into this
Not a bad game, get that it’s a small developed game so expectations aren’t held extremely high but can need some work. Needs a back button to the main menu when going into different menu options. Bugs out when trying to do multiplayer co-op with I or my Partner cutting out and automatically having to leave the game because it freezes showing my partner stuck in air. Overall decent game barely started playing so getting the grasp of what I am doing.
If Metal Slug spins your dials , buy this game , in fact if you like 2d action of any type , buy this game ! What an incredible game , personally I’m using the Backbone iOS controller so I can’t speak to the TS controls , but the game is so good, I would figure it out . Shout out to the developer , wwwwoooowwww! Friggin home run , no, grand slam. 5 Stars !
I loved this game on the Switch. It’s a top quality port and have been loving it. Would highly recommend. The only thing I would ask for is the dash function when using the touch controls. I’m only able to dash when I use a controller.
This game is excellent. If you like games like Dead Cells, I think you will like this too. They removed dash from the PC version and made gameplay faster for mobile. I actually prefer the faster mobile version gameplay without dash.
This is just a fantastic game! The controls are smooth and the artwork is amazing. My only complaint is the jump button is hard to get use to, but looks like there was an update to the controls, so I’ll give it a try.
A combo-driven rogue-lite action-platformer, Fury Unleashed harks back to the games of old, where careful but quick reactions are often required to survive.
