• Bibots is out now!
• Bugs fixes and improvements
Bibots is a breath of fresh air for fans of the twin-stick roguelite genre, often drawing comparisons to Enter the Gungeon but carving out its own identity with its unique 'Bibot' transformation mechanic. You play as Tayar, an explorer who stumbles upon ancient mechanical beings that he can summon to wreak havoc. The gameplay loop is satisfyingly tight: you clear procedurally generated rooms, collect a wild variety of weapons, and slot in 'chips' to customize your fire rate, damage, or elemental effects. The real tactical depth comes from managing your energy to transform into your chosen Bibot, which effectively acts as a 'super' mode to clear screen-filling boss patterns.
Visually, the game is vibrant and colorful, steering away from the typical dark dungeoncrawler aesthetic. On mobile, the controls are surprisingly fluid, supporting both touch and controllers, which is a must for the bullet-hell intensity of later levels. While the lack of an auto-save feature during runs can be a minor frustration for mobile users on the go, the sheer variety of builds and the synergy between Tayar’s skills and his mechanical companions kept me coming back for 'just one more run.' It’s a premium experience that respects the player's time and skill, offering a deep RPG-lite progression system that makes every failed run feel like a step toward a more powerful future.
Procedurally generated regions with unique atmospheres
Epic Bibot transformations with distinct abilities
Countless weapon combinations via the chip system
Deep character progression with multiple skill trees
Intense bullet-hell boss encounters
The more you fight with a specific Bibot, the higher its synergy with Tayar becomes, unlocking new attack variants. Focus on one Bibot early to maximize its potential before experimenting with others.
Use chips found during exploration to modify your guns. Combining elemental chips with fire-rate boosters can create 'dream weapons' that melt bosses in seconds.
Yes, Bibots supports Bluetooth controllers for a more precise twin-stick experience.
I think this has potential to be great, but right now the bugs are really getting in the way. Three separate times I’ve been in the middle of a decent run and I get trapped in the inventory screen — clicking on the x to close the menu won’t register. There are also some smaller annoying ones, like the level up meter getting stuck on a loop until you can move to a new biome. Most frustratingly, there’s no save feature and leaving the app idle in the background for too long loses all progress. Autosaving or the ability to leave an app in the background is essential for a mobile game and it’s really disappointing to not see it here. Fix the bugs and it will be a pretty solid Gungeon-clone! I wish there was more meta-progression between runs, as of now you can really only add modifiers to your Bibots attacks (essentially a mech-like “ultimate ability” kind of thing that you only use a few times each floor), and there’s no way to improve the pilots stats or start with different weapons etc. It feels pretty good though and there are some cool weapons, items and random room events.
Great gameplay and smooth control system. Found two bugs right at the beginning of the game. The game got stuck during tutorial after grabbing the poison chip and killing the enemies I the next room, nothing happened and the doors were closed. Had to replay from the beginning at that room, a level up was supposed to be triggered to teach the level up point system. After finishing the tutorial started one play through and when I was in the weapon menu to add a chip, the close button at the top right corner would no execute its intended action.
I strongly agree with the other reviewer’s note on lack of meta-progression. It really impacts the overall replayability. Spending nearly 25 minutes on a well-equipped run to die and only be able to put progress gains towards the Bibot is frustrating. Particularly as the upgrade progress is incredibly slow, the gained benefits are marginal, there is a good alternative to summoning the Bibot (shield for fewer points), and unless you dedicate significant level-up points to the Bibot you only use it for a short amount of time in a level.
Tons of fun future dungeon crawler,, but There is no begway to save the progress on the game. Even though there are 3 save slots, there’s no way to load them
Keep getting to an amazing loadout I can actually win the whole level with then getting stuck in inventory because the exit from the inventory X won’t register and I have to shut down and restart. Comepletely game breaking. Will be asking for a refund
I have lost many runs because I couldn’t close out of the load out screen and had to reset the game and there were constant lag spikes.
Reduce enemy projectile speed and add auto-aim and fire. This is a god man mobile game not a mouse/board game
I understand some bug fixes were released but some buttons are unresponsive at times and the game bugs out. For example the menu malfunctions and you can’t press other icons on the screen.
