Dinsun Expert Review

Our Expert Score

72/100

Yotta: Play and Win is a unique hybrid of a financial tool and a social gaming platform. It takes the concept of 'Prize-Linked Savings' and turns it into a gamified mobile experience. By engaging with the app's various mini-games, you earn tickets for nightly sweepstakes. It’s a clever way to incentivize engagement through the thrill of potentially winning real prizes.

The mini-games themselves—ranging from card games to quick arcade challenges—are competent but fairly basic. They are designed to be played in short bursts, serving as a gateway to the larger sweepstakes mechanics. While the app's focus is clearly on the prize draws, the social features and leaderboards add a layer of friendly competition. It’s a niche app, but for those who enjoy the excitement of luck-based draws paired with casual gaming, it’s a very well-executed package.

TRUELY 1•OF•A•KIND & ABSOLUTE BEST ONLINE BANK BY FAR
Sat Sep 10 2022 MuffinMama37

like the title says this is definitely the best online bank I have seen or are used to date! And TBH I have tried out quite a few of the readily available banking apps around! It is also the only one I've come across that has faithfully stayed consistent only changes were made better that's far haven't fallen into the money hungry ways that others have once they become popular! The "Lottery" style of their banking is like none other! Sure you don't get the little one percent cash back or discounted gift cards or whatever else out there has been offered by others. But I'll lose the $4.32 I would make a week using them for the chance at 10 million and the interest rates offered currently it is over 9% for one of their bucket accounts! My one and only complaint… And this is with any and all banks these days is that as a self-employed independent contractor I don't receive paystub's or direct deposit! I am paid in various ways depending on the client and most often am depositing the check or payment into my account myself and literally have no way to set up a direct deposit I have tried! Therefore I lose out on so many of the perks available simply because I don't work the normal job structure! And regardless of the fact that within a few months thousands has flown through my account I still am screwed when it comes to qualifying for the extra benefit simply because I don't get paid traditionally! If they could find a way around that for me I'd give this 10 stars out of five!

Legit and fair ($250+ won)

I never spend money on games like this or any game for that matter, I started off just using the daily streak prizes to make money, I’d make a few bucks and lose it till I got the hang of it, decided to buy $5 worth of YC (yotta cash, the money redeemable for real money, 1YC = $1USD) and with that five dollars over the course of half an hour I went up and down up and down playing moonshot, once I got the hang of it completely and started playing smart I instantly turned a $10 bet into a $114 prize, with that $114 won I used $10 of it and not even 10 minutes later made ANOTHER $157 and decided to cash out, I cashed out half directly to my bank, and the other half directly to my crypto wallet, I haven’t received my funds yet but that’s because I still have to wait, for my bank transfer it was estimated to be about 2 weeks, and the crypto was about 5 days, I still have 2 days till I receive my first chunk but I will say they’re legit and have seen people cash out and receive their money. The apps fun, it’s legit, you can make good money, you don’t even gotta put your own money in if you don’t want to and still win real money, or play for fun with the no value currency (tokens) Overall the app is great and definitely will keep using it and keep investing my time and money into it.

This is legit!

I had my doubts by reviews here, but, since my experience here I have no complaints. I invested $10 and played slots. I just played 5 cents a spin on a joker slot. It gave me lots of playing time and I eventually won a couple jackpots that got me to the $50 cash out minimum. After the verification process, they told me a payout date approximately 10 days from the cash out. I was really skeptical at this point but was patient. Well, it was only 7 days later I received the money in my bank account! I reinvested $10 more and won again! Went to withdraw, again, about 7 days. I’m gonna keep playing this. My advice: play this (free or invest), and stay away from the games that have that fat lady and the balding but white hair guy that advertises a game that isn’t even the one they make you download, not to mention disappear from the app stores without warning. (those of you who have seen these ads know what I’m talking about) Now I’m not guaranteeing you won’t have issues, this is from my own experiences. Like any game, it comes with risks. And everyone’s experiences will vary. Good luck and have fun!

Changes for the Worse

I’ve had a Yotta account for a little over 1 year and they keep making it more and more useless. I use this account as a emergency fund account where I have the silly little game portion where saving money in this account could win me $1mil. But they keep making changes to force you to use this account as your primary bank and it just doesn’t work well enough to do your primary banki no out of this app. They do things like deliberately take days sometimes a week to transfer money out of these accounts and they give you false hope about winnings. For a while I was having all my direct deposits come through this account because of the aspect of potentially getting my money from each check up to doubled. 100% of the time I was given tickets. Now the whole reason to have the account your savings=tickets for nightly drawings is gone. Sure they have a 5% APY now, but that interest can only be used on tickets. And you get 0 tickets for free every night so for it to be worthwhile I pretty much only get to participate in about 1 drawing per week. You really aren’t gonna win anything unless you have at least 100 tickets going in a drawing. Also when they transferred my remaining tickets to yottacash they transferred those at a rate of $.004 per ticket when to “buy” tickets for the nightly drawings they cost $0.05 so they didn’t even transfer them at a 1-1 rate. You’re better off just using another HYSA from a larger bank. Also now the paycheck boxes mostly just give you tokens to play their stupid games.

Completely ruined - kept previous review for posterity

Update - Today’s change is the final nail in the coffin. Tickets were converted to “YottaCash” or whatever they’re calling it, reducing your entries and thus making it FAR less likely to win anything. Slipping ever further towards actual gambling was nearly enough to push me over the edge, if it weren’t for the fact that it could be disabled by a specific help ticket request. Now the chances of winning even a few cents for a consistent ROI are so much lower that the SLIM chance of winning big is no longer worth it. Will be closing out my account as soon as any pending charges/deposits are resolved. I’d be surprised if the changes don’t bring a class action lawsuit. Original review - Yotta used to be pretty good. You deposit money to earn tickets, which you enter for a chance at cash prizes. I’ve gotten about $45 in a little over a year, which is much better than the lousy interest rate at my big national bank. But part of the appeal is that it was always a safer option than gambling. While you still cannot lose actual money, they have recently added in mini-games where you risk your tickets. For those with poor impulse control or addictions, this effectively can bring your return down to zero if you wager away all of your tickets. I’m not going to close my account or anything since I personally can choose not to play those mini games, but others may want to steer clear if you want to actually have a chance at earning anything in return for depositing your cash.

Seems to be nothing like the rating suggests

They are playing a dangerous game of monetizing new customers based on the reviews of an app that no longer exists. I don’t know if they got bought out, or what, but all of the great things I’ve read about them do not exist in the app, and other 1-star reviews from long-time users explain that it used to be different (pre-March 2024 based on the few I read). I downloaded it based on the reviews praising its unique features, but it no longer had the exact features they seem to want people to believe. I am not entirely sure if what they are doing now is even legal.. sweepstakes law is pretty strict, and offering $.05 of their ‘cash-like’ in game currency that just so happens to be exchangeable for $1.00=$1.00 USD, but definitely isn’t real money, for a mailed in entry, so that they can say “No Purchase Necessary” while limiting that entry method that doesn’t require a purchase to 1 per month per household, and having to write out a whole statement on a 3x5 card along with hand addressing the envelope, not to mention the stamp! For $0.05, no purchase necessary. Now if you *Do* want to make a purchase of their in-game “tokens” that they admit are worth nothing and cannot be used in any way to win anything of value or exchanged for anything of value, then they will ever so graciously also give you FREE in game currency (that just so happens to be equal to the amount you buy the play tokens for, but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence and not their attempt at a legal loophole).

good idea bad presentation!

first off lemme just say that when i got paid last month, i switched my whole check over to yotta to try to "win" my purchases back! and indeed i did on two.... one on 4/11 and the other i believe was either 4/21 or 4/26 totaling 32 dollars! now for some of you that's nothing, but to me a disabled veteran trying to support not only herself but two teenaged daughters one of which just found out she's pregnant, it is!!!! i uber part time n with gas the way it is, can't break even there, so every month i find a little something to sometimes as much as double my income to make ends meet!! yotta makes it sound so great! n while they did say i won those two purchases, i have yet (since april 11th or 12th on the first) to see them!! they're holed up in some crypto bucket saying pending until idk when!!! im not as impressed as they made it seem!!! if their bite met their bark, id already have had pushed around 10 to 20 more people to this banking platform, as im sort of the guinea pig for my family friends and daughters friends, if i like it they follow.... step your game up yotta your app description here in the app store makes it out like you spend and if you win your funds are immediately available, NOT SO AT ALL!! not impressed.... especially since i cannot ever pay at the pump for gas as well but have to walk inside the store every time!! ubering doesn't send me to the best of areas at times and i need a debit card that will let me pay at the pump no matter what i have in my account or how little i may pump!! may be for some of you guys but im thinking ima stick to my chime!!
