Great match-3 game - and some feature requests!
Sun Oct 19 2025 glenra

A very well-designed main game, a nice variety of mini games and a well-calibrated difficulty level - hard enough to be interesting but not especially frustrating. And the battle mode is great! I do have a couple feature requests: (1) please add a volume slider (or just a “quieter” toggle button) to the settings screen. It’d be AWESOME if I could listen to a podcast while playing and still hear the game sounds without their level drowning out the conversation. I want to be able to tell your game’s sound to be like half or a third as loud as it is and not have it maximize volume relative to the system set volume so it can be a *background* task without entirely turning the sound off. (2) please add a “colorblind” mode! I have difficulty telling apart the game’s green versus yellow. Not the gems themselves - those do have different shapes - but on other items. Like when you have color-changing crystals in a blue box or structural blocks to match next to - then there’s no shape cue so I’m stuck having to *guess* at which color I need to match. Ideally you’d change the *brightness* or the *saturation* of either the green or the yellow so there was a *non-hue* way to distinguish them…or maybe add small polka-dots or pinstripes to one of the colors? Get someone with red-green colorblindness on your QA team! Other than that, just keep doing what you’re doing - this is a great - and highly replayable - game!

TV commercials for Royal Kingdom proudly advertise that the game is completely free to play and does not require a WiFi connection. While it is true that no WiFi is needed to enjoy the game, the assertion that it is free to play is misleading. After spending a significant amount of time on a particular board, players often encounter obstacles that prevent them from advancing. This can lead to frustration and anxiety as you brace the desire to progress to the next level. Eventually, the game creates a sense of urgency that compels players to spend their own money on package deals just to move forward in the game. Many players, myself included, find it hard to resist purchasing these deals after investing so much time and effort, fearing that all that dedication would go to waste if they don't advance. This pattern of spending inevitably leads to a cycle of addiction, where players feel pressured to keep purchasing in order to see their progress continue. I am personally disheartened by this experience, especially considering that I have enjoyed many other games over the years without feeling compelled to buy expensive packages. As someone living on a fixed income, I find the tactics used in Royal Kingdom particularly disappointing. The game’s design and marketing seem intentionally misleading, creating barriers for players who simply want to enjoy the game without the pressure of constant monetary investment.

Luck based, not friendly for f2p players.
Sun Jan 19 2025 Sthlrd2

The game started out fine. Pretty easy and then got harder but still not bad. Then as you start getting into higher levels the game came incredibly luck based, hoping for the good drops to give you lots and I mean lots of power ups in order to even get close to beating the level. The amount of times a disco ball power up was 1 square away from combining with another power up was so high you started thinking they did this on purpose so you have to use a hammer. Streaks become non existent in the higher levels due to this nonsense. The amount of coins you get for beating levels and completing kingdom areas is minimal compared to the amount of coins it cost to buy 5 more moves. The amount of times that I was 1-2 moves away from finishing the level or spending real money to get more coins or just lose your streak making team event rewards very low. The levels that require a certain amount of a certain color to unlock other areas only work if you actually get that color to drop. I’ve had levels that I didn’t even have the whole board unlocked because I didn’t have enough colors to unlock it when I ran out of moves. That is a stupid way to end a streak and just incredibly frustrating to say the least. The adds you see for this game are also false advertisement and misleading.

One of the Better Games… But…
Tue Feb 18 2025 KAT'''

This is one of the better games available. As long as you strategically set up moves in advance, you can pass the levels without having to use any ‘boost’s’. However, like sooo many other games out there that only leave you frustrated & ready to just delete the game, along with the headache… this one aligns right in sync with those! Sure, you may advertise that there’s no ads & a game that you can play - annnd “Enjoy”? I beg to differ! Had I been ‘one of those’ that rate the game within the first 20 levels like you prompt peeps to do? You may have gotten 5 Stars. I’m not that peep! Now, after over 150 levels, the ‘enjoyment’ is done & you, like so many other’s have gotten me to the point of deleting the game! Sad, really bc you ‘had’ potential to be “The Best” out there! Nope! You only want money! It’s at this point that a player may have 20+ boost’s in each category & you’re going to have to use all of those boosts & STILL NOT PASS the level! You’ll have to “buy” help in order to pass - which I will NOT do! You don’t even have the option to watch video ads in order to get more boosts or coins as needed. Pfff… “Game Over”… you’re being deleted & labeled another failed game!

NOT a game. It’s a psychological money extractor.
Thu Dec 11 2025 Mr fife

This barely meets the definition of a game in my opinion. What it actually is, is a very carefully designed psychological manipulation tool. It repeatedly puts you through cycles of easy solutions and builds up the idea of success. At the same time, it allows you to accumulate resources to use in the future. Very quickly, though nearly impossible levels are inserted to rapidly drain your resources, and create a sense of urgency about losing all of your progress. If you don’t spend everything you have to to keep going. This continues until they get you in a position where you have to spend money to keep succeeding. Now, I understand that most games get harder as they go along, but that’s not what is happening here. This game is carefully presenting you with successes, followed by failures in order to create specific situations where money may be required to continue, and at the same time attempting to manipulate you psychologically. Look, I get it. Developers want to make money. The problem with this app is the way that they go about it. It is specifically intended to psychologically manipulate you in questionable ways in order to maximize profits and get you to spend money that you probably don’t want to spend that’s what’s creepy about this app.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. RIGGED GAME! NONSTOP GLITCHES NO TECH SUPPORT
Wed Apr 30 2025 YayaMuah

After 2 weeks waiting they still NEVER replaced my powerups boosters nor magic pot prior to their previous update. Now on 3rd week back and forth w tech support they claim to restore but NEVER done. They are LIARS! Don’t get scammed AVOID THIS GAME AND ALL THE AGGRAVATING TECH ISSUES. It starts off fine but as you advance it’s rigged. So many glitches they claim to fix with updates but never replace what you lost in the process of their tech issues. I believe it’s intentional to force players to spend money. Impossible to complete levels without multiple boosters. You will end up spending $ and angry dealing with a racist male chauvinist, from Istanbul, Turkey. You can’t play offline as they indicate because you won’t advance. I have chats from tech claiming I must be online. They changed my profile name without notice and replaced it changing my gender. I had to get the App Store to refund me for not providing purchases. The game freezes or makes wrong moves. When I tried to purchase boosters it froze but still charged me so I lost game and all addons earned. Their tech told me to buy it again instead of fixing it. False advertising this isn’t the game they advertised. App Store developers need to investigate this Turkish company who obviously hate female gamers.

Distraction, idleness, and pure evil

As a Christian these are the very things that the spirit of God tells us not to over indulge in, yes I read that comment about the brain, and how it pleases the flesh to play this game, they are so right, I know I am totally delivered from this type of foolery, Jesus is so close to His second coming and the enemy is pulling every single weapon out of his big velvet black bag to use on God’s chosen, and these time consuming, distracting games on these hand held idles are one of them, this thing is spiritual you guys, let’s wake up God’s chosen ones will get this not every one is meant to even see this. But whomever sees it it’s meant for you. Look at the games setup, a king, throne, and throne room, God open my eyes long enough to see this. Your Bible, the Word of God, prayer, and seeking the face of the most High is all we really have time for at this point! Yes I was hooked but this is a shout out to the ones that want to awaken out of their slumber. Nothing aimed at the makers of this game I actually tilt my hat to such talent, but having over 10 million players I’m sure you want miss one, and I just passed level 100 but I’d delete it, and download it over and over. And the Holy Spirit wants us to arise now, for the night is far spent ❤️🙏🏾🥲💤wake-up Bride for your groom is coming soon!!

I want the game in in the ad not the game you get
Mon Jun 09 2025 CSD review

Royal Kingdom and its sister game are both just match three games that’s it there’s a little storyline to it or what not but they are match three games. I’ve had both of them for a long time and you do not get these rescue levels very often if at all, I have never gotten anything in Royal Kingdom like what they show in the ad here and I’ve played I don’t know how many levels now. I quit playing it because it has become impossible to win without spending money which I understand. I don’t mind spending a little bit of money on a game I play, but I don’t expect to have to spend more than it would cost me to buy the new Diablo just to get past two or three levels on this game so thanks for nothing. It could be a good game, but it isn’t. Very disappointing. That’s a match three game. It’s fun at first, but then it gets more and more difficult and you have to spend more and more money to get anywhere. When you do get to one of the rescue levels, it’s not like what they show. It’s generally you’re fighting against another kingdom and you have to play match three to win great huh?
