Match Villains is a fun, slightly edgy take on the classic triple-match formula. Instead of matching candy or fruit, you’re dealing with a cast of quirky, 'villainous' characters that give the game a unique aesthetic. The 3D physics of the match-3D mechanic are very well-tuned; items bounce and roll realistically, which adds a layer of challenge as you have to dig through the pile to find what you need.
The 'villain' theme is carried throughout the UI and the power-ups, giving it more personality than your average matching game. It’s a great 'zen' game that still requires a sharp eye and quick fingers, especially as the time limits tighten in later levels. If you enjoy games like Match 3D but want a bit more 'attitude' in the presentation, this is a perfect fit.
Stunning 3D visual effects and physics
Hundreds of unique items to match
Challenging time-limited levels
Powerful boosters to help you clear the board
Don't dig too deep early on. Focus on clearing the items on the very top to open up the board, making it easier to see and reach the items buried at the bottom.
The Magnet booster is your best friend when time is low. It will automatically find and pull three matching items into the slot for you.
If you fill all seven slots without making a match, the game ends. Use the 'Undo' or 'Clear' boosters to free up space in a pinch.
So far great game. Absolutely LOVE no ads. I'm currently at level 104 (which doesn't take forever with no ads), and the game keeps getting more interesting and challenging. I saw a review indicating the need to purchase "helps" further down the road it as it becomes so difficult to beat higher levels without spending money. I haven't experienced that, but again I'm only at level 104. The rewards are pretty good and I usually save the "helps" for the more difficult levels. I love a good challenge, but I really don't like to spend money to get past levels. Not that I've never spent money in these games, but the special little $2.99s here and there add up. I'm usually patient enough to try as many times, with as many different strategies needed to beat a level. If I do get frustrated, I walk away for a bit (sometimes days), or play something else. Overall, I really like this game. Graphics are great, and did I mention NO ADs?! Lol. I frequently install and try games that spark my interest. I'm pretty picky; some games don't make it an hour or a day on my device before being uninstalled. So, we'll see how long it lasts. Angry birds and CandyCrush are still on my device. I don't play them as often as I used to, but they're still in the rotation, and I go through phases with games. However, they are "classic" GO TOs to me and have never been uninstalled.
This game is constantly giving you new challenges and power-ups, boosters, etc. There are also different quests and rewards constantly. You don’t have to purchase items to have fun and they don’t push you or try to get you to buy anything. If you would like to there’s a store but it’s completely optional. They also don’t push you to join teams while that is also possible if you’re into that but I’d rather play at my own pace and not be required to be on my phone constantly trying to complete objectives. However I do find myself on it for hours out of the day because it can be pretty addicting but still optional. Therefore nothing is forced in this game, it is fun and challenging and constantly changing as you reach higher levels. They also have short videos throughout the game with the characters showing what heist they’re up to now. AND……THE THING I LOVE MOST ABOUT THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY NO ADS!!! You can play without all the interruptions for as long as you like. First game I’ve ever given 5 stars.
This is such a brilliantly thought out and executed little match game! It is super fun to play and even more fun to watch all the special effects packed into it. I can’t get enough! The tiny little armadillos who roll from side to side destroying my newly created power ups before I can set them up. The pharaoh tombs, complete with tiny mummies, who are destroyed in a poof of powder. Tiny crowns that turn into lions. Minute, round power ups (snitches) with itsy bitsy wings that flit up, down, and across the screen so quickly. Oh, but my favorite? A row of little power-up-eating plants that gobble up any power-ups that have the misfortune of being made next to them! Sometimes I purposely make power-ups just to watch them gobble them up. Don’t worry though; once you destroy the cute little boogers, they spit the power-ups right back out! You haven’t stopped reading and downloaded this game yet? Well, I have the coup de gras: it’s all free to play (unless you choose to buy stuff, of course) and ALL WITHOUT ADS!!!
Where to start? Challenging, but not so hard it’s no longer relaxing (please don’t up the difficulty!). Nothing labeled by difficulty (like thankfully no “super hard” or “nightmare” levels) No ads. Buy stuff you want. Regular play creates tons of special pieces. You can make a special piece as you match over another. Making such pieces, they normally don’t “set off” at that moment; the cascade doesn’t fall in such a way that it does. So you get to keep and use them. Sometimes it looks like there’s no way you’ll win a level, you have so few moves left, but it’s designed such that many times the cascades let you win. Can move pieces into an empty spot to make a match. Huge variety of special pieces/effects to prevent boredom. Attractive graphics all over; nothing creepy or messy like other games’ characters and maps. Really. The CC characters are SO creepy. Not exactly like the ads, but that’s an unrealistic expectation and I don’t get why people complain. Way close enough. Lots of fun side games or collections with lot of prizes. Love the easy Tetris-like vault. Especially cause I don’t have to rotate pieces. Music and sound effects that are pleasant and not annoying, so I can leave them on. Neat that there’s chapters. I deleted my other games. They were getting too frustrating and non-relaxing to play. Can’t tell you how many times I literally said to my SO, “I HATE this game!” Thanks for the amazing game!
The game is obviously an in your face, we just want your money game. The probabilities of winning gold cards are weak. It’s not based on gameplay(skills and or strategy) and winning. It’s fun, but you cannot finish the levels unless you pay money and then that’s not even promised. It’s very aggravating to not be able to win on merit. The game needs big time tweaking! get the system bugs out at the very least! As it stands now, you win books to pack you haven’t received. You cannot collect gold cards because the probabilities are so low! If you like to spend money go for it, you’re still not promised anything! I’ve deleted my game to make sure it is not me or my device, but others are talking about the same problems so I doubt it! I’m going to reload to see if I have the same problems. They are many other games that you can play like this, but this one is fun. I wish they’d fix it.
The higher levels are getting difficult and it has taken a bunch of retry’s to get through it. If I spent the money to add 5 more moves, I’d run out of money in no time. But tonight I was trying to get through a tough level and I got a message saying I ran out of lives!! Not turns, but lives! And I was locked out of the game! What’s the point of locking players out of a game other than to make them mad enough to want to delete the game? I have a big problem that’s driving me crazy. It keeps wanting me to join other plays, but I do not want to. You get a button that says JOIN and there is an x to close the window. But the x does NOT work. The only way to get out of it is to exit the game and go back in. Got to level 443 and I could not get through. I keep trying and trying. As a last effort I decided to spend the 900 gold because it said add an extra 10 moves. I spent the gold and when the game started there was only 10 moves!! Where’s the extra 10??!! Then the game locked me out. I give up. I’m going to delete the game. You cannot get through these higher levels without spending real money and I will not do that. I work too hard for my money to blow it on a silly game.
I had this game downloaded and played it fairly frequently, as it was moderately fun and a rather good way to pass the time. My problem is with the ads during the game and mostly the ads about this game. Even though they advertise not having ads during the game, I found there were many ads during the game. My biggest complaint though is while they advertise no ads during the game, so they know how obnoxious the ads are, the ads for this game are the very MOST OBNOXIOUS of all. I tend to play these games with the sound turned on, since I feel the sound is part of the game, but at a fairly quiet level. All too frequently, while playing some other game, an ad for this game will come up, with the very loud and truly obnoxious horns blaring at you, which really seems hypocritical since they advertise no ads during their game. You’d think they would want to show how relaxing and calm their game is during their own ads and not blow you out of your seat, but I guess not.
For the past couple of years, I’ve been hooked on this game. I’ve gotten to the point where it took several attempts to pass certain levels. But, with level 445 I give up. There is slim chance, not skill, with completing it in 20 moves with out purchasing more moves. Retired, fixed income and not spending the money, so with that said, I am deleting your game. What people don’t understand it’s not a game of skill but more a game of chance. You get people hooked on the game with somewhat easy levels then you get to a point where you want to spend money to continue. After all that is why you made the game to make money. I understand that. It burns my Gord to thank you got children playing it and getting their parents to drain their account to keep it going. I’m for purchasing a game and that’s the end of it. You have a lot of rave reviews and I can understand why, let’s see what happens when I get to the higher levels.
