Our Expert Score

87/100

Micro RPG is a masterclass in 'condensed' game design. It takes the sprawling mechanics of a traditional RPG—loot, character builds, world-crawling—and distills them into a single-screen, turn-based combat system that is as addictive as it is clever. The unique 'spinning' attack mechanic requires you to time your hits based on the range of your weapon, blending strategy with a touch of reflex.

The game is perfect for 'snack-sized' sessions but has enough depth with its 12 worlds and legendary weapon collection to keep you hooked for hours. I love how each weapon feels distinct; a broadsword might hit multiple enemies close-up, while a crossbow requires precision at a distance. The 'Anniversary' events and constant updates adding new worlds like 'Kawaii Yokai' show that the developers really care about the community. It’s colorful, charming, and a perfect example of how to make a deep RPG feel right at home on a mobile device.

Great game, love it
Fri Mar 11 2022 Dragoninja54

I want to start off by saying this game is great. It strays away from the mobile game standard of shoving hundreds of ads down your throat in the form of various boosts, the “you have to wait for your energy to recharge, or you could watch an add” systems, and that’s like the flavoring for the broth of really awesome gameplay that is super replayable and very original. Great work. The game is already great but there are always things to work on or add. In my opinion, I would say that there isn’t enough variety in levels for my tastes. The game does a great job already with having diverse enemies and goals for each level but it all feels a little cookie cutter. The other thing I’ve noticed is that there isn’t a lot of choice that goes into upgrading things, you kind of just press buttons that increases damage which is fine but I feel like it could be better for sure. If there was some kind of system where you could add attachments to your weapons that changed how much damage they dealt, the size and shape of the attack, and effects they deal with tradeoffs that would make it a ton better. It would also work if there were branching paths for the weapons as you level up that each have tradeoffs like extra damage in exchange for losing some range and attack size, faster rotation speed for more attack, etc just to add more variation in your options and tools available. Overall a great game as it is and I love it, thank you for making a game that doesn’t conform with the mobile game standard. <3

If you think you can wait to play again, FEAR NO MORE!
Sat Dec 31 2022 to those who made this game:

I really love this game because everyone thinks they have to wait to get the health back. But to me, I don’t see a way of waiting for your heroes to be at full health again. I have a strategy that can make this game to where you can play like there is no tomorrow. And I am happy to tell you! But you are all going to listen up, because this is where it gets… …COMPLICATED… So for example, you fail a level because your hero died, right? That’s when you would normally quit the game for a while and wait for your hero to heal to full, right? WRONG! Your hero automatically revives to five health, making it usable again. So how I do this, I go back to the first levels and beat them without taking damage. Enemies killed have a chance of dropping hearts that heal your hero upon pickup or level completion. And the best part, you can repeat this trick without getting sued on, as the game accepts this trick no matter the cost! Hope this trick helps you all to get back to those levels you were stuck on for months on full health so you can try and try again, infinite attempts. And remember: if you die, repeat the strat! Yours truly, Joey.

GREAT game, just a few complaints

This is a really fun game, l've progressed rather quickly and as to be expected, it got harder. Currently I'm stuck on level 5 in bubble sea and it would REALLY help if I had the hero that can breathe underwater but I need to make at least 3rd place in one of the events the win them. Now the events are great because if it wasn't for them I probably would've stopped playing this game a long time ago given how stuck I am in bubble sea. My only complaint here is, they could last a little longer. Like they could be 2 or 3 days instead of just 24 hours. To get a lot of gems and work your way up on the leaderboard you'd have to just keep playing over and over to beat your previous score and aim for 1-3rd place but I work and have other things I like to do throughout the day. I'll play when I do then come back at a different time And you've gone to the next event without giving me a chance to try to get a score better than 1,700. I understand this game is mostly intended for kids who probably have a lot more screen time than I do but it would help if I could somehow get the underwater hero. I'm ready to move on to the next world and see what you guys have locked in the corner unless that's a "coming soon" thing. Also if you could involve a way to get more of the orange gem things for wishes, I'd like to find a few rare and epic weapons or if there was a "watch a video for 3" option that'd be cool. And you could put a limit on it like just 2 videos a day for orange gems. Or instead of watch a video to get the wish we could watch a video for the gems so we can save the gems. I'd like 10 so I can get 10 wishes. I don't how else to earn them, y'all rarely ever give them

Great game! Need more maps and better shop offers
Sat Aug 05 2023 Tittsy80085

Simple game that is really fun to play. It doesn’t make you commit much of your time to play and get all the rewards as a casual player since the quests are super easy and you can probably do it all in less than 15 minutes. However, if you are one of those hardcore players, the game will also reward you fairly as there are daily ranked challenges. Leveling up the weapons and character requires some amount of card xp and gold which is a standard leveling model nowadays. Card xp are actually not that hard to obtain. The gold however is a bit scarce. Although to be fair, the game does let you play for unlimited times and always give some amount of gold so technically you can grind all the gold you want indefinitely. Im a pretty casual player (maybe 1-2 hours playtime per day) and have played for about 2 weeks now. I currently have just one level 15 weapon which already is enough for me to beat the chess world with the help of the free continue. I have to say that the game need more maps or maybe introduce a mode (example name 'hard mode') which is harder in terms of the mission and have increased enemy stats but also gives more rewards. I also think that the in app shop offers could have more variety and have better value. I want to have the rewards without ads but 7$ per week is a bit too much. It gives trigems but like I said, gold is the resource that is harder to get. Which in my opinion makes the trigems has less value than what the devs currently offers. I would like to see the 'rewards without ads' as a standalone offer. You can make it be a few offers such as 0.99$ weekly, 1.99$ monthly, 5.99$ yearly, and finally 9.99$ permanently because let’s face it, no casual players would pay more than 10$ for an in app purchase at one sitting on a mobile game. Overall great game with lots of potential

Fun game with room for improvement
Mon Jan 31 2022 dbiz3249

I’ve played this game for a few days I I really like it. original style of combat, good learning curve, doesn’t force you to watch ads, and doesn’t shove micro transactions into your face. I actually don’t have any complaints about the game. However, I think the different heroes should have uses other than backup lives. I know they have slightly different abilities, but their abilities don’t have any real impact on combat and I would like to see distinct playstyles and different synergies with the weapons. Another thing that I noticed is that I end up using the starting couple of weapons more than any of the others that I unlocked, purely because the new weapons haven’t caught up in levels so they deal much less damage. Also, I just got to the 5th area and it says that my characters take damage every turn due to not breathing, but I couldn’t find a hero that stated it could breathe underwater. is it unlocked once you finish the final area, or or you just planning to add it later? Overall 8.5/10 game that could definitely become a 10/10

Simple yet challenging
Sat Mar 05 2022 ZetoKami

It starts off way easy then as you progress than the challenge starts and you actually have to plan what to take care of while also completing the missions. RNG can make it impossible but can always retry no energy system big plus for me haha. Then the event which has a weapon and character only obtained through it is getting me annoyed gotta be top 10 to get ‘em but I just need to get better and lucky. Great game very enjoyable got some frustrating moments but that’s RNG can’t be helped. Okay event doesn’t require luck it needs continuous playing of same thing over and over cuz the leaderboard has people over 20k points always and I just don’t see myself playing same thing over and over all at once it’s gets boring fast. Still a very good game and hope it gets something different but I still get on daily when I’m bored haha. 👍🏼 Four stars cuz it feels incomplete not being able to get the last character and weapon 😢

Steep Difficulty Spike
Wed Jul 10 2024 B1GGIE CHEES3

Game is fun concept and the difficulty is fun but not really rewarding when I can just go back and earn the same from a prior beat level. If there was more incentive like additional award for beating a new level would be nice. First couple worlds you can play and loose until you find a strategy to win or get lucky. As you get up there (I’m stuck on the ghost levels(world 9)) it becomes unplayable. Either I go back and grind and grind or keep throwing myself at the wall until I get lucky. Bugs where ghosts I’ve never hit or gotten hit is a miss on the first turn. Additionally the ghost getting a free hit after teleporting is just downright cruel. The respawn blast should be optional cause multiple times it has caused me to lose by moving them out of range and making me re hit them to move them closer which causes me to miss them when they get closer. In conclusion I’m going to keep playing cause it’s fun but may pass on the game and start phasing it out of my rotation of games. TLDR Fun until difficulty makes it grindy and unfair and unplayable. Almost pay to win.

Great concept still missing a few key pieces
Sat Apr 12 2025 Quiqleypuff

The game is definitely unique and would be fun to play longterm… unfortunately I feel the creators focused heavily on pay to win and micro-transactions being essential rather than flowing gameplay. The enemies have resistances to some weapons which ruins the game. The heroes specials are literally all pointless except for one which revives you for free. The game is quickly bottlenecked if you don't either log in for weeks to claim rewards or replay the same missions constantly for very minuscule rewards. The game scales quickly and unless you get lucky on your rewards you are stuck (each world needs different weapons). Great concept, would love to see this kind of unique game made well. Updating since i received a really well thought out message from the dev! I suggest downloading this game and giving it a try and giving any constructive criticism you may have to better this game longterm!
