Minor bugs have been fixed.
Dungeon of Gods is a high-octane 'one-handed' action RPG that perfects the 'hit and run' mobile combat loop. Developed by SuperPlanet, it avoids the clutter of many idle RPGs by focusing on active, skill-based movement. You play as a half-god charging through infinite dungeons, and the core mechanic—dragging to move and releasing to dash-attack—feels incredibly snappy and satisfying. The 'assault action' is the highlight here; clearing an entire screen of monsters with one well-timed charge provides a great sense of power.
The game incorporates clever rogue-like elements, where clearing a room gives you a choice of three power-ups. Stacking these abilities allows for some truly broken builds by the end of a run. While the controls are simple, the bosses require genuine strategy, as you have to dodge complex attack patterns before finding an opening to strike. With a deep upgrade system involving relics, costumes, and a half-shield for protection, there's a lot of depth behind the simple facade. It’s a perfect pick for players who want fast, explosive action in short bursts.
Intuitive one-finger 'Assault Action'
Rogue-like skill selection and stacking
Infinite upgrade and promotion system
Diverse dungeon modes (Dark Tower, Rune, etc.)
Guild system for collaborative strategies
Timing is everything. Wait for the enemy's attack gauge to almost fill, then dash through them to interrupt their strike and deal massive critical damage.
Prioritize skills that trigger 'on-kill' effects early in your run. As you reach later chapters, focus on damage multipliers to ensure you can clear rooms in a single charge.
You are presented with three random skills to choose from, which stack to make your demigod more powerful during that run.
This game has so much progression, you never get bored, and the animations are satisfying to watch in auto mode, especially when your assault is super high and you can 1 shot a whole level in 2 seconds. There are a few things I noticed about this game that could use some work though, such as the player AI when you put it in auto mode: half the time he just runs into the middle of a swarm of enemies and doesn’t have room to assault, and if you’re not paying complete attention you could easily die - similarly, it’s frustrating when you can’t assault because you can’t get far enough away from the enemies because they’re chasing you down; I feel like you should be able to assault at any distance. Also, the menus could use some work, as they’re a little confusing and clunky. It feels natural to swipe between the different sections of the main menu, but you can’t, you have to press each button, so a swipe feature and some better directions through the menus would be sweet. Other than those few things, this game is awesome and I’ve been playing it non stop since I downloaded it lol. It’s so hard to find a good mobile game that is fun, challenging, and has a rewarding progression system that doesn’t rely on pay to win and constant ads. Huge shout out to the devs for their masterful work!
This is one of the very few free to play games that doesn’t have overly predatory pay-to-win aspects. I feel like I can always have some sort of steady progression regardless of if I wanted to pay for gems or coins, watch ads, or do neither. The gameplay is a pickup and play style, so there is never really much of a required time sink for anything. It’s easy to learn the basics, the gameplay is entertaining, and the devs are respectful of the players’ time and wallets. Very much appreciated! My only suggestion is to maybe see if the menus could be put together a little better. Sometimes I get a little lost in the sub-menus within the different sections. For example, it took me the longest time to remember where to find the promotion quests (and that they actually exist). It wasn’t really thoroughly explained. Making it a little easier to find things and maybe put in a few more explanations as to why some menus are important could go a long way. Keep up the great work!
Honestly I’d love to give it a solid rating, it would get 1 if not for the games massive influx of free premium currency. You don’t need to spend money which is rare for mobile games. That being said they put these cringe inflated prices on their shop that costs $50 and then say it’s 99% off. I’m sorry but not micro transaction is being sold for $5,000 guys. Get real. Also that’s literally illegal in some non US countries so you know what you’re doing. But at least you got your priorities straight. Also then there’s this weird issue with the in game font, everyday/other day a random number 0-9 is replaced with a random dash or other symbol. No clue why. ex. 25, 57, and 501.5 become 2-, -7, and -01.- The next day all the 0’s turn into “€” etc. And finally they use artificially generated leaderboards. Either that or they randomly change with zero regard to strength or previous placement. I seen a dude in no. 1 go down to no. 5 when they’re all stuck at the same stage and he’s got 100x the combat level. There’s zero continuity. Actually as I write this all out I need to adjust my rating from originally 3* down to 2* Unless by some miracle they take a moral interest in a game they’re no longer interested in supporting I’d say TLDR: Not worth your time
Huge fan of this game haven’t been able to stop playing it the past couple of days! You can tell the creators really cared about this game a lot and wanted to make it good, unlike nearly all of the new mobile games and spin-off games that have been coming out, this game is a diamond in the rough, really fun combat and a great progression system, it seems like there’s always something to do and you’re never really bored which is what makes it so addicting and fun, plus the art style is incredible I’m a huge fan of it, overall an awesome game can’t wait to see where the devs take it in the future, hope they keep up with it and keep adding more stuff, and I’m really hoping it becomes more popular, I’m rooting for this game!
This game seems to have a lot of potential! I think it feels very similar to the game Hades, every level is met with some sort of upgrade that resets each run. One thing different is this game takes steps to add progression outside of the run itself, I particularly enjoy the possession effects where you get improved stats for having an item, I think that is a great way for these kind of games to benefit long term players. One downside I find though is that the menus can be a bit tedious, especially for things like awakening which doesn’t give you a clear guide on what items may be beatable at your level or not. Another issue i have is that all the levels are ultimately the same with different map styles, this is something hades does much better where it turns your map awareness into a part of the gameplay that this lacks. No traps, no dangers, just the occasional obstacle that you can assault through to break. I’d like to see some map redesign in this game and it would easily go to 5* for me.
The core gameplay for DoG is actually really good. I enjoyed the level aesthetics, the power ups, and enemy design over all. My issue comes with watching 30 second ads for bonuses. Each day you get seven “bonuses” by watching an ad. I don’t always have a lot of time to play and this being a mobile game I felt should respect that. Generally after an ad I felt disengaged from everything else, when I’ve got ten minutes or so to play, losing a quarter of that to advertising to get bonuses felt like I was cheating myself out of actually playing the game. I can’t skip past this either because I play in such short sessions I feel like I need the boost. In the end I just uninstalled the game. If you have more time and don’t mind the ads it’s worth a play, but if your on a time crunch you’ll find yourself watching commercials and waiting frequently on the first few runs before you can start to pick up some steam. Not a bad game, just doesn’t fit my lifestyle - hope to see this change down the road.
This game has a lot of potential. I’ve only just started playing and it’s been a good experience just seeing the unique animation style and animation play out. I also appreciate the fact that it seems there’s been lots of responses and feedback on other reviews and I thank you for that. That said I would love to see co-op and pvp if f that’s something you are interested in( I really hope you do). If so may I also suggest that the actions between attacks and movement be separated? I think it’d give a healthy quality of life change for better directional control and stay immersed. Sometimes the arrow lunge attack can be a bit of a double edge sword since I’ll be pushed in front of an enemy and die. Maybe if it were change into say a passive skill might help with that? It could have a 3 second cooldown and can also be directed in any direction within a certain radius. I’m looking forward to where you take this game! The skies the limit!
This game is very good and I would recommend it for long car rides and just whenever you’re bored and need something to play. The menus feel a bit weird and they could definitely use some work. It just feels like they don’t explain all the different features such as transmuting and such. But overall I enjoyed this game since I first picked it up. It’s so satisfying to blow through a whole level with the assault feature. The leveling feature is also very cool because you’re able to rise in power very quickly and can definitely be played with one finger. The game also never gets boring even when you’ve been playing for a long time. If you need a game to play for endless amounts of time with or without internet then this for you.
