Grand Hotel Mania is a fast-paced time-management game that feels like a modern successor to the classic 'Diner Dash' formula. You manage a hotel alongside your assistants, Monica and Ted, frantically checking in guests, cleaning rooms, and delivering room service. The pace is blistering; you have to plan your movements several steps ahead to keep your guests happy and your rating high.

The game shines in its variety. Each hotel you unlock has a unique theme—from a cozy cottage to a high-end luxury resort—bringing with it new tasks and upgraded equipment. While it does get challenging and encourages upgrades, the core gameplay loop of serving customers and perfecting your timing is immensely satisfying. The graphics are bright and expressive, and the feeling of clearing a difficult level with a five-star rating is a genuine rush.

I’ve played pretty much most dash games out there and this one is the most fair in terms of rewards and gems and coins you need for upgrades. It’s not super easy where you just get a ton of coins and gems to spend on upgrades where there is no challenge but I LOVE that. I love a game where I might need a few tries to get good enough to pass a level or play a bit more to get enough gems to upgrade something. But even once you move on to new hotels, you can go back to previous ones and play the ones you’ve mastered to get more gems if needed. And in this latest version they added even more ways to get helps on each level. Although I’ve passed all current hotels without using helps (just upgrades) because I like a bit of challenge. You honestly do not need to spend a penny to pass all levels, although I did spend a bit because I love to support great apps. The only quirk that initially irritated me in this game was when you lose a level, it brings up a window with only button as OK and x in top right corner. With previous games, you just end up hitting it quickly without always reading or remembering that here, if you hit OK, it takes 20 gems to extend the level. So I’ve wasted some gems when I did not mean to but after that I’ve learned and just clicked x to close out the box. Outside of this, there are no weird crashes or ignored “clicks” like some dead spots This game should really be an example that dash style games should strive for

I love this game and it’s my favorite to play. But now that I’m pretty high up, it is getting increasingly frustrating to play. I don’t mind having to work hard to get an extra gem here or there (play the lower levels, or try the challenges) but when you work so hard to get the amount of gems (sometimes days) to upgrade your hotel to pass a level, and then you have to wait on the time limit to pass is just awful. I’m ok with having to watch commercials but to just provide no option except for paying with gems come on. Example: (providing because I’m frustrated). To win the recent level I had to come up with 24 gems to upgrade a room. (You only won 10-15) at the end of the level, so for the past 3 days I’ve been working extremely hard to get the extra gems. I finally get them, purchase the room and it shows with a 12 hour wait. Ok, press play watch a commercial and it cuts it to 6… but then wait now there is no option to watch another ad, but instead come up with 24 gems just to speed up the delivery. Are you kidding me? These are the moments where I stop playing the game for a couple of weeks and try a different one. Developers, I understand trying to make money off the game, but let’s make sure it’s still fun for your long time folks that are on higher levels.

I’ve been playing this game for quite sometime now. Seems like I’m always waiting for the next hotel to open. I just finished playing the 2nd round of “hot season” for the last hotel available. It’s sad to me because the game glitched on the last level. I selected to play it, used two of my power ups (one to speed up production and one to double the income). I was then taken to another event going on in the game and the game froze. I had to restart it and when I got back in, it said “hot season” has ended. I hope that you’re able to get this fixed and no one else has to have the same experience. Other than that, I very much enjoy playing this game. Thank you. I’ve now deleted the game until I hear from the developers. After the latest update, the game kept glitching, things that were supposed to work automatically weren’t and it kept freezing. I deleted the game and reinstalled it. I was on the latest hotel, had purchased several outfits (which aren’t necessary for game play), but I’m now back at level 1. It didn’t save any of my progress. I’m not okay with totally restarting after getting to where I had gotten. Please fix this! After getting a response from the developer through posting a review, I sent a few emails to the email address they said to. I’ve never received a response. I hope they respond to anyone else. I’m now dealing with my second loss of progress due to getting a new phone. It wouldn’t let me download the progress I had, just override what I had. Not happy!

Unfortunate change to game

Update: the developers were correct, and they’ve added new levels. Unfortunately, they also recently changed how you get jewels and thus how you can upgrade. I see what they’re trying for, but it doesn’t work as it is. There used to be an incentive to continue playing earlier levels. (Something the developers touted, btw, which makes this change even more irritating.). Now there’s virtually no reason to play earlier levels, and very little incentive to play later ones. I still play, but considerably less frequently and with less pleasure. Suggestion: if you’re going to keep this new incentive, add some for the earlier levels and make some that are less ridiculous — eg, serve 7,777 people with guitars — so that there’s a reason to play. You’ve got a great game here. Not clear why you’re doing this. I really enjoyed this game. As the developers said in response to another review, you have to be patient, go back to earlier levels, get some diamonds, and then improve the level you’re on. You also can’t play this game standing in line at the grocery store. It takes concentration. But that’s why I liked it. Challenging enough that you felt pleased when you won. Very sorry I’ve finished all the levels

Not fun anymore just frustrating

This game use to be so much fun and challenging now it is just frustrating. I’m on olive island. I notice after the last upgrade I no longer would have gems leftover at the end of a hotel so I could get some upgrades on the next hotel. I’m guessing less are being given away for your accomplishments. Also, the difficulty has changed for sure. Some levels are just impossible to pass now unless you use the power ups. Once you run out of those you are stuck. I get on some levels where my upgrades don’t match up to the points. Therefore I need to earn gems from older levels to upgrade my current hotel. That’s fine that is part of the game. I actually dont mind going back and playing older hotels. But I’m talking about on the levels where you need 50 thumbs up but they send everyone out at once and they all need the same item that is completely upgraded. So you are faced with all rooms full, everyone needing the same food or drink and some two of the same item and you have people standing in line waiting for a room. It’s pretty impossible to beat without using your power ups and sometimes even with them you still cannot beat it. Then at the end of the level you have a min and a few secs left. I don’t know but they have changed something. It has taken everything I had saved up while waiting on a new hotel! Even the older hotels are harder now! I had a select few that I enjoyed playing to earn extra gems and now I cannot move forward on those because the difficulty makes it impossible.

I have been playing this game for a while now, since it was still “developing” I believe. I really enjoy the game but it has always been a problem with gems. Now it’s an even bigger problem. Before you could go to previous places and earn a few gems now you cannot. Gems are so hard to come by and they do not provide an adequate amount you need to upgrade and beat levels. The little “goals” they set so you can get gems are not efficient at all. How am I supposed to jump through hoops for ONE GEM? This is ridiculous. Also TWENTY (20) whole gems for a second chance ? That is beyond me !! I never use it because it’s not worth it at all. And TWO gems after watching 2, 30 seconds, videos . They need to make these upgrades worth less coins. Or let us use our coins to buy gems (at a reasonable price). Edit: Gems are still a hassle. The amount of times I have accidentally upgraded something I didn’t want to is unbelievable. There needs to be a button that makes you confirm and upgrade before you actually do. The upgrade menu pops up randomly and then you accidentally click and upgrade when you didn’t want to and there is nothing you can do to cancel and get your money and gems back. 20 gems to complete a level is still too expense and that button also needs a conformation because you can accidentally click it. And lastly, only being able to get 2 gems through ads is crazy.

Such a fun game, difficult last the first section...

I have played a lot of these dash style games and I’m pretty good at them. I played through the whole first stage and fully upgraded all the hotels. I found that with a little time and effort you could do so without having to purchase a lot of additional gems, etc. (this is a beautiful game, btw - I love the attention to detail, the facial expressions, color schemes, etc.) with HOWEVER, now I’m trying to play the second stage, the Vegas levels. Some of the machines within the hotel are so slow and it takes so many gems to upgrade them, and you can’t get past the levels to get to the gift boxes to GET gems. I have gone back and played through old levels to obtain gems, but those keep increasing in difficulty and the amount of gems keeps getting smaller - so it seems as though you’re moving toward an impasse. I am the type to stick with a game for a long time, until it begins to get too frustrating. It would be helpful and keep players from just deleting the game when it gets too difficult if there would be occasional mini-games to earn more gems, or something of that nature besides hot season, which requires progressing through levels - which becomes impossible - so that a player could get past a level they’ve been stuck at. I would even watch an ad or whatever to get a few extra gems. Just a thought! I love so much about this game, but it’s no fun to play even a beautiful game if you can’t keep moving forward. Thank you to the developers for so much thought and artistic beauty! It’s a really beautiful and fun game!

Great but Glitches and High Wait Times Need to Go

Great game! Reminds me of another game I used to play. However, level 54 of the first glitched on me by not letting me serve on the guests to a room and I failed the level. Not fair. Four hour waiting times seems a little TOO much don’t u think??? You should be given the option to watch ads to reduce ur waiting time for all upgrades. Also, I’m only on hotel two but I can already see I’m bout to quit because your highly unlikely to finish a level if u don’t use ur boosters. Seeing what other users go through, I can tell eventually I’ll quit this game because I shouldn’t have to nor will I buy additional gems in order to continue. If these issues were fixed, I’d rate it much higher. I just took another star off because I see what someone else commented on and it happened to me. The “second chance” option I clicked on “ok” thinking it was the usually ok button that you use to dismiss the notification. However, with this ok button I would’ve had to pay 20 gems when I actually thought “ok”. The ok button was huge compared to the tiny little “x” at the top of the menu. I’m glad I didn’t have 20 gems or I would’ve lost them all. This is ridiculous. Do y’all really have to be conniving like this??? I added another star back since the developer responded so quickly and seemed like they really care about fixing the game. Another thing I just noticed happening twice, it’s happened twice or three times where I try to click on the “double your income” button, but it won’t play the ad.
