Too many changes

I have had this game since it first came out and I’m not happy with the changes to the sticker albums. Now we can’t gift anything with 3 stars or more, and this is over half the stickers! Now that it’s almost impossible to complete the album by asking friends for missing stickers, I’m far LESS inclined to spend money in an effort to get those last few stickers. Please go back to the old system where it was just 4 and 5 stars that couldn’t be gifted. And while you’re at it, add a feature that will tell you if your friend is missing a sticker you have available because I’m tired of sharing screenshots of each page to help my friends with their albums. Another change I don’t like is that we can’t always purchase the idolz that match the board we’re on if we haven’t achieved a certain level. I like to use a matching idol when I’m on a board. So far I’ve had at least one idol for every board I’ve reached since I was able to buy them before the change, but I know there are new boards being added all the time so I’m sure I will end up on one that I won’t have an idol for. Plus, new players won’t have the same opportunity I had to buy idolz for every board they end up on. Even if there’s only one matching idol box in the vending machine at any given time, at least this would allow us a chance to get one matching idol for our board.

Great Game! But I have some requests.

This is overall a great game. I would definitely recommend it and give it 5 stars. I love how I can visit my friends boards. However, I do have some requests. I don’t know if this is possible, but there is already an option where you can sign in with Facebook. It would be nice if there were other options, for example: Instagram or Snapchat. It would be nice, because as a younger person, I’m not into Facebook. I also enjoy collecting the card packs. On the other hand, when it switches to a new card pack set, I lose all my extra cards. So, it would be nice if my extra cards would automatically be transferred into rolls instead of I just lose them. One last thing is it would be great to add another mini game. I had just an idea that it would be fun to have some type of claw machine to earn more dice because sometimes I find myself running out of dice rather quickly. It would of course be it’s own tile and look different than the mini game tile. When landing on the tile, it would be cool if it took you to a claw machine where you can wager diamonds for more rolls. Or it could be free, but with a harder chance of landing on the tile. For example, it could appear only a couple hours a day at random, making it a harder chance to land on. I personally think this would be a fun addition to the game.

I guess I was too quick to judge

About a year ago I downloaded Board Kings and I didn’t really understand it. I also didn’t give myself to understand it, I just deleted it. A few weeks ago I decided to try again, and now that I understand what’s going on, I’m totally addicted. I’ve played other somewhat similar games, and I love that the pricing to buy in-game content, is in-line with it being a game for entertainment. What I mean is, the other games seem to be trying to convince me I’m actually paying for something I can keep and want to charge me prices that are outrageous…in comparison, $5 buys you less than 100 rolls on that app. So I was ecstatic to see that the pricing is more in line with paying a little bit extra for entertainment, because that’s all I’m getting from it. That’s the primary reason why I have spent a decent amount of money on Board Kings while I’ve never paid a cent on the other game at all. All in all I think the game is great, I think there is still room to add onto it and improve of course, but that is a good thing. You always want room to grow. For now I’m just glad I gave the game a second try, and now I have something to take me away from the stresses I’m currently living with. Thanks!

Addicting… but not worth buying the bonus packs

Really enjoy this game, it is kind of addicting, especially as someone who loves board games. However, it seems that in the last year or so they have adjusted how many items it takes to reach the goals to win the big prizes. They used to be relatively attainable, however they now seem like unless you are buying numerous packages you will never make it to the chest and unlock the big prize. Additionally, they have changed their card packs. It seems like I very rarely get any cards with 4+ stars on it, which again makes it next to impossible to get all of the cards in the series and win the big prize. It used to be that the higher the multiplier for rolls the card pack got larger in terms of stars, that no longer seems to be the case. Overall, it seems like they are trying to get people to buy the packs from the store, which even if you buy you are paying $2-$4 and not even getting enough to again, get you to the prize. Wish they would recalculate their algorithm or something. Last thing, I wish that once I viewed the ads, they would no longer pop up when I open the app, it takes FOREVER to get through all the pop ups and actually play. I am busy and when I have a few minutes to play a game, I don’t want to spend it clicking out of advertisements.

Meh

I used to love this game, I even got my sister into it. But it only seem to get worse with every update. My sister is the only “friend” I have on the game and for months every time I landed on the spot to steal money from another player it would only take me to her. Sometimes it would be her 3x in a row. I eventually had to just start closing down the app and waiting so I wouldn’t have to steal from her. Since this last update, whenever I land on the train tile and go to another board I’ll get stuck. I’ll push the button for the dice or get cards, but it won’t do anything. I’ll just stay in the same place. Sometimes it’ll pop up that their board is protected and then one of the other messages will pop up and I can’t close out of either one. I have to close the app and just leave it till it takes me back home. It’s actually extremely annoying and I’ve lost so many coins over this. This isn’t really an issue with the game, more just a complaint. I like to collect the game pieces. Often I’ll save my diamonds and then buy out the entire machine at once. But this new update has made it where only the top row is free (when you get your free pass) and then after that the top row is 15, the second is like 30, and the bottom row is like 45. The game is also only letting you unlock certain packs once you’ve reached certain levels. It’s so dumb! I already had a bunch of pieces, and packs almost completed, but now I’m stuck with these levels.

Game bugs

I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I’ve noticed a lot of bugs that seriously needs to be fixed. Just now during the summer event I’ve completed it but the rewards screen or rather the whole game froze because I’ve landed on a card pack, was trying to roll, and hit the final prize at the same time and because of this the game froze and the final prize is gone. I have lost progress occasionally and lost rewards too because of this and honestly it’s getting irritating. Another thing is the vending machine. Boxes either get stuck for no reason, or when you’re opening a box and you get a card pack for using vending machine while there’s multiple boxes that’s already bought, it just freezes and causes you to be unable to open those boxes you’ve already bought. Or when you travel to a friends board and if there’s more than 3 things going on at once the game freezes and you loose things. An example was actually recently I was suppose to get 2 power cards as my event reward but apparently the event bar froze for god knows why and when I reloaded my game, the event went to the next stage and when I checked my power cards it didn’t increase. This is still one of my favorite game but the fact that I sometimes have to reload the game several times in one session and looses rewards is seriously irritating and frankly bs. I’m not gonna ask for compensation just fix the game so this stop happening.

Like it a lot overall but...

I like this game a lot, I think it is fun and I have had it for at least a year. I’m not the most consistent player, sometimes I’ll leave it alone for a couple weeks and come back to it. But the constant popups about events and sales when you first come on is SO annoying I just spam tapping the corner the X is usually on by instinct. To be frank, if I wanted to know about a sale, I’d just appreciate if the “Store” page had an exclamation point on it or something on the main menu. Or if an event is going on, maybe an announcements section on the main menu people can check out. It’s just annoying having 8 things in a row in your face every time. I’m also annoyed because I was just on another person’s board and got an alert that someone on my board broke my piggy bank and took 5 mil coins. I didn’t even HAVE 5 million coins. I gained 5 mil AFTER leaving the board and AFTER the piggy bank alert, and lost whatever I gained before I even knew I was GETTING 5 mil. Do you see why this is kind of irritating? Like...I didn’t even have a chance to know I got something before it was gone. Sounds kinda sketch to me but whatever 🥴 I’ll just reearn it I guess but it doesn’t do much for you if some people already think you supposedly scam them out of stuff to literally scam someone out of coins before they even get them. Maybe don’t do that. Just a thought.

The update seemed fair but..

The update seemed pretty cool at first because now I have 80 rolls instead of 50 each time I play and the regeneration speed is a little faster now. However, the game is still made almost impossible because I have to spend 7 million coins to update certain landmarks and buildings. Which honestly is ridiculous. I didn’t complain at first because originally I only had to update one board twice but so far I have updated my board 2 times already and it sent me back to the same board yet a third time. This is game is stating to longer be fun. When the update happened I thought it would be great at first but the update had no real difference if the roles go up and the prices skyrocket too you might as well have left it at 50 rolls with the same prices. It shouldn’t be easy but it also shouldn’t be impossible. The fact that there is no cap on how much money someone can steal from you also makes it extremely hard to update anything then you play the waiting game so you can get more rolls when you run out and try to save your coins but when you come back all of them are gone. Being about to steal 6 Million coins from someone is crazy to me...honestly. Idk when I get enough coins to upgrade to a new board then maybe I’ll update my response on how many times I need to upgrade one single board but so far, like I mentioned before, I am on my third upgrade for the board I am currently on.
