I really like this game I just can’t stand all the pop ups to purchase. When you first open the game you have to go through every single pop up of items they want to sell you. It’s about 10 pop ups of game bundles you can purchase!! When you run out of lightening bolts or coins the assembly line of pop up adds starts over. I don’t have Facebook and wish there was an opt out option to stop getting the pop up to link my social media account to earn free coins. I also don’t want to share the game with anyone because I don’t have many friends. The amount of ads on this game are really annoying me to a point where I don’t want to open the app to play because it’s sensory overload for me. If I run out of lightening bolts or coins I can watch adds to get some to continue playing. There’s literally adds every couple minutes and they are insanely long adds. I’m OVERWHELMED 😩 The game itself is a fun concept. I like that it had a similar theme as Monopoly Go! I think it would be fun with friends. The fun aspect of Monopoly is there aren’t as many adds. I have purchased packages from this game. I won’t purchase them again. At the end of the day you will never get enough of the lightening bolts or coins to win anything. Unless you spend a ton of money every time you play to earn the daily rewards. Without purchasing all the pop up Game Bundles you won’t ever win anything. The game would be a lot more fun with less stuff.
While the game is indeed enjoyable there a few things I have noticed. 1. The timers for bonuses and powerups do not stop while being bombarded with ads and promotional popups. 2. No matter what you bet if you use the autoplay option you will notice you receive more minute prizes than if you play manually (in other words in autoplay the game eats away at your energy with small prizes as if you are not paying attention). 3. It costs money to play this game at a favorable pace and there is hardly any chance at the bigger rewards without spending actual money. 4. The flip the coin and cup mini games are obviously rigged to lose at a certain level no matter which option you pick and the chance to continue after losing is 9/10 placed at a cost right above what the player has at the time forcing people to spend more cash or sometimes watch an add. 5. The blue lightening bolt power up states that when active the higher the bet the bigger the prize. I have actually found the opposite to be true when betting higher I run into more failed attempts to either steal or destroy buy when betting low the success rate is higher. 6. The game is great and I actually don’t mind paying for things that make sense but you guys should dial it back a bit with the aggressive marketing and spending tactics. There has to be a balance no one wants to feel hustled.
Every time you open the app, you can expect at least a dozen advertisement windows back to back to back that you have to close out of over and over before you can play. This is by far my biggest complaint, and not an exaggeration. There was one time there were so many “promotional” things going on at once it took me a full five minutes to close every pop up window. Over and over and over with no end in sight, a window over and over again. THAT needs to change. That aside, the in-app purchases are not worth the money. They need to give you more bang for your buck if they want you to spend in my opinion. Aside from that, there’s another more recent but equally obvious issue… every other platform you land on, what you’re getting out of betting (the spoons or knives or whatever) can’t be used unless you invite friends to play. I don’t have friends who play this app, and I don’t have friends who want to. I am not interested. I wouldn’t mind this temporary feature if you could opt out of it. Unfortunately, I can’t… and so I just won’t be playing, because there’s little reason or reward to play when the rewards can’t be used on your own. This game can be fun, addictive, ect— but it could use some serious improvements. I enjoy playing it, but every issue listed has impacted my experience enough I’m rating this app two stars and may be uninstalling. That’s after playing for over a year…
This game is fun, kind of. More than that it is addictive, but not because it is fun. It is addictive in the way gambling is addictive. It is a high dopamine trigger. So if you struggle with impulsivity or maybe have a bit of an addictive personality, I’d hesitate to play this game. The ONLY way to get anywhere in this game or to make it fun is to pay for energy. And everything is priced low enough or appears to be such a good deal that before you know it, you’ve spent way more than you realized or intended to. They have a lot of side game opportunities within the game itself, but the only way to actually get anywhere in those games is to “bet high” but the only way to be able to do that is to pay for enough energy to make high bets. And even then you’re lucky if you “win” something other than coins. These side games would be more fun if you were able to build up more than 50 energy bolts over several hours. It is literally set up to go nowhere unless you pay. I honestly regret having downloaded the game or wish I had deleted it shortly after realizing that it wasn’t what it was presented to be on the ad I saw, and when I realized that it was going to cost money to be any bit worthwhile to play. I’m embarrassed to say that I am out way more than I’d ever spend on a game (which usually is next to nothing). Good luck to you.
Update: not fun anymore. They should be paying players to endure the really horrible ads and multitude of pop ups. It’s an ad game that gives very few credits/energy for the number of long ads—many over 2 minutes and some that override iPhone setting so sound blasts even with volume off. The ridiculous thing is most of the ads say any game that requires you to watch ads and spend money are all fake—the very thing you have to do to play this game. I’ve spent over $1k and the moment I stopped spending-I stopped progressing. Giving 2 stars only because the customer service did respond quickly. Other than that, the game is now pointless since I’m not spending money anymore. I’m now at island 452, or somewhere near that level, and that will be my final level because I won’t be spending more money. As you get higher, the prices of packages increases tremendously. When you’re out of energy and leave the game for a day, you return the next day with all shields gone, all coins gone, and sometimes a few of your island things attacked, so without purchasing coins, you’re not going anywhere. One thing that was annoying was no matter how much energy I had, sometimes as high as 200k and betting at 2k, I still wasn’t able to achieve some of the specials. Overall, fun game, but you’re not going far without spending money, no matter how many ads you watch, and there are a LOT of ads.
The game doesn’t look anything like the ad so that was a letdown right off the bat. But then it turned out to be pretty entertaining but you can’t play it for more than a few minutes at a time. The farther you get, the more ⚡️and 💲you need to advance but the rewards never go up. I’m only on level 50 something and it takes days to build an island. Why aren’t there more ways to get ⚡️? Why don’t you get more than 25 of them when you complete an island as you get farther along? When I do finally accumulate a lot of ⚡️you have to spend a lot on each turn to actually get anywhere but most of the turns are coins only instead of steals, attacks, piñata bats, etc. I feel like if you create “perfects” and activate the Auto play the prizes should be better when you’re in that mode. And why isn’t there something we can do with duplicate cards? Like maybe points for duplicate cards and then when you have so many points you can trade them in for a wild card to complete one of the many sets that is just stuck at 8/9 cards?? Like I said, there’s a lot of potential here but I’m starting to lose interest because you can’t really play it very much. Hopefully some new updates will come soon that will solve some of these issues. If so, I would happily give 5 stars.
At first, I appreciated that this game offered ad-watch rewards because it shows that they do consider their free players. I also thought it was unique to have some kind of active gameplay, even if it has no rewards and just serves to activate auto-play. Both of these things are now negatives due to my main problem: Maybe all the positive reviews are running this on latest-gen devices, but the performance on my iPhone Xr is unforgivable. Nearly every interaction (opening things, closing things, often the gameplay input itself) causes the game to lag. This is on top of the intentional padding (animations, popups, etc) which I uncharitably assume are to make time-limited boosters as useless as possible. After making it through the 5-10 popups that load on every check-in, my phone has already heated up on a cold day. I don’t know if the game is really poorly optimized or if there are too many events/sales going at any given moment, but it looks like both are true. Even hitting a winning streak, which CAN happen as a free player, isn’t emotionally rewarding when the game is so frustrating to get through. If you have a new device and it changes this problem, you may like this game and the many, many events it offers. As it stands with me, I would be uninstalling even if they gave free access to every in-app purchase.
This is by far one of the worst games I have ever played. Every time you open the game, you have to go through about 10 different ads and happens for the game just to get to the main screen of the game. Once you are able to finally play the game, get ready to see an opportunity to watch an ad after almost every turn you take. This is almost only if the game does not continuously buffer for long stretches on end. I have no problem playing/using my phone with any other app, so it has to be this game. I have missed out on countless items in this game due to the timers continuing to count down while I wait for the buffering/loading to finish so I can continue playing the game. I’m not a techie, so I don’t know the term for what the company is lacking to be able to support a game like this, but at any given time in this game there are around 15 timers counting down until offers are up, contests are over, or other things they try to throw in. It is overwhelming the game play, making it slow to actually play, and ruining the game itself and the company’s reputation. All I see the company as now is for the money hungry people they are, wanting us to watch as many ads as possible and buy many different energy packages, while they do nothing to help the players with the actual game play. I have no intention of ever opening this game again. Thanks for the wasting a week of my life.
