This game has me addicted. So whatever way you want to look at that. I find myself trying to make progress and looking forward to new things to come. The creators are fantastic about fixing bugs, adding new content and adjusting the game. You have several different options to play and compete. It is strategic, it’s not just a matching game. I don’t follow the story, but if you enjoy that it’s there too. This is hands down my go to most favorite game I have ever downloaded. I’ve been playing since September, my husband and I are huge GOT fans. After he passed away I found this game, and I knew we would have competed and wud had a blast doing so. I have gotten great champions, the creators are helpful and reach out to you to provide support and help with strategy. I am a VIP player, but I wasn’t when I started. It’s not a game you download and delete. If you want a time buster for the long haul this is your game! You don’t have to spend any money and still are able to play, advance and get new champions. Now if you want to spend money you build yourself up faster. Pro tip, find another player in your alliance that has experience and can help you to concentrate on what u need to do to advance in the game. I’ve wasted a lot of resources not knowing some of the things I know now.
Neat got gen match kind of game, with a gorcha type charachter pulls, legendary/ epic/ common etc you level your base use resources do a nice n chill pvp 3 per day join a chill alliance and get your team of five red/blue/green purple/ yellow weak v strong gems and three classes fighter/ ranged/tactician . Only issue is if you are f2p and not a whale you will grind but it’s pretty chill take your time and be patient since you need shards to enhance up to 7 stars that break each lvl cap. 1star lvl cap is 50 2 star is 100 etc. i ran into a problem with the ads. A few times the ad will not play, if you click an ad you get rewards. Unsure if you get a limit to speed up a building renovation or not. I own four legendary characters, all 1 star. I have around 5 epics only one has 3 stars, two have two stars and around four with three stars a few more common that have three and two stars. A bug i had when i started playing last week was ads refused to play, you clicked snd nothing happened. Ads help a lot and so far i have a great alliance, im player level 24. I try to fight the necessary pvp for resources events or missions There is story w flavor text and fun animations. I also got a weird ad for dating that showed camgirls luckily censored so moms may find issue with that but its fun for eating time during medical appointments and going to an office you need to wait for a few hours.
Like others have said, I didn’t think much of this game when I first downloaded it; characters I like doing a simple gem game- not much to it. But there is actually strategy involved based on character skillsets and the developers really listen to feedback. They just finished a huge overhaul balancing characters and focusing on team strategies, as well as adding more content and daily activities (for those of us entirely addicted). The micro transactions are varied enough that if you really want to pay-to-win you can, but a mere $10 a month for the main event is not only worth it, it makes you feel like you’re giving back to a game that gives you plenty of entertainment and reprieve. Otherwise you don’t have to pay anything to play and can get far without spending, but the quality of the game makes it worth it to indulge (and support). As a creative in the industry myself, I recognize when a company really cares about what they are developing, and really cares about its players. Zynga and the GoT: Legends team really go above and beyond. (I even talk to my guild members, and I hate doing that in these types of games! How dare they make me make friends.)
I enjoy the game as a F2P user, though there are some drawbacks… I would suggest more opportunities to earn items from watching ads — yes, there is a once-a-day opportunity to get a free daily pull and refill some energy, but that’s about it. It would be nice to be able to have the option available to watch more ads whenever you want and gain more earning opportunities, even if it’s only something small like 10-20 gold earned per video, etc. My only other complaint would be the PVP aspect. When you rank up, it would be wonderful if you were put with others around your own ranking. I’m currently only 120k, but I’m put up against people in my bracket level that are 340k+ and stand no chance against them… so I’m repeatedly demoted because they go out of their way to attack smaller players for easy points. It would be more fair if players weren’t almost double your own power skill is all. i.e., if you’re 100k, don’t put them in a group with anyone over 180k, so on and so forth. Perhaps that’s just a me issue though, but it’s very disheartening attempting to reach higher ranks when I’m so low stuck with such higher P2P users.
It’s fun so far, but many things that are suboptimal. The main thing that has been keeping me playing is the ability to earn all premium currency in F2P manners. I think this is a really awesome thing that Game of Thrones: Legends RPG has done that most F2P games have not. Please note, anyone looking for a match game with unique matching mechanics, you will not find it here. The matching is almost entirely basic. There are a few bugs that I encounter regularly, such as freezing in the middle of a game that requires you to close out the app and restart it (especially if you tab out of the game to look at something else really quick); you won’t get your energy reimbursed. The only way you can invite anyone to your alliance is to find them on the leaderboard, so I’m not entirely sure how affective this is. The alliance dragons come and go, with no way to alter anything, meaning if your alliance is brand new, you will get extremely easy dragons and your alliance members will need to hold their attacks so everyone can get a hit in. And I’m truly not a fan of so many notifications. I get notifications on my phone for the game even while I’m playing the game! “You are needed NOW!” Etc. and there’s no way to turn it off without completely turning off all notifications.
Love the game itself, it is a very fun game. I have played hours at a time and spent hundreds of dollars. However, the makers are very greedy in wanting to make money. With that being said, i am going to have to quit playing. For the reason being, you must spend either hours playing or have to purchase hundreds of dollars to get anywhere, even then you do not get the players u want. If it were not for that i would rate this game a 5. Good luck to all. But this is a game for the person that has a lot of $$$$, which i do not have. But like i said, love the game hope it goes far. Hopefully they will make adjustments as the game grows so that someone that doesnt have money can actually compete. Also would like to add. I went over the reviews and it seems that a-lot of people have the same complaint. And it appears developers dont care and the reply says, im sorry you feel that way but continue to let it go on the way it is. Id rather no reply at all than a reply that states we are sorry you feel that way and do nothing. 🤷♂️ Regardless best of luck to developers and players.
This is one of the stingiest games I’ve ever played. Both in terms of what you get for your dollar, but also in-game rewards. For example, the game has gear and you can upgrade the gear. This requires a material (other weapons, upgrade mat) and a resource food. I have a couple of anvils, that give the most xp to a weapon to upgrade - I have never once, in almost 2 months, been able to use one, because the cost in resources (food) is just way too high. There’s daily/weekly missions you can do to focus on certain gems or resources. There is one for food, that will cost you nearly your entire energy cap to complete, and it’ll give you something like 2k food resources. In order to use one anvil, you need somewhere around 400k to 500k food. That’s insane. The rewards for spending money are on par with other p2w games, but on the more egregious side, however it’s the in-game rewards that are truly insulting. That said, I like GoT and the guilds work well enough, though there is currently a drought of content. If the rewards get better, and a few more events are added, this could be a 4 or even 5 star game. Until then, it’s a 3 at best.
They sold packs for a new character “Alicent Hightower” she was the best healer in the game. After the sale ended and players had spent hundreds chasing her, the developers changed her powers making her now the single worst healer in the game. Weaker then even most common characters. Total bait and switch. The Developers made some positive moves in the past week so I’ve changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars. First they gave Alicent a small buff so she is at least no longer useless. I still think her healing should be buffed a bit more but it’s a start. They also improved chapter rewords which initially mean that those who have already completed those chapters missed out. The Devs then did the right thing and sent those extra rewards out to everyone who already completed those chapters. The Devs and the players would benefit greatly from a player liaison. Someone who could communicate the intent behind changes, let the players know when the devs see a problem and are working on a change, and communicate the games overall direction. This would alleviate much of the player base frustration.
