Fun and addictive!

I love this game! It seems they have listened to previous reviews and tried fixing the issues. There is an add after each level is complete but can skip after a few seconds. The glitching still happens occasionally but I haven’t had it click randomly as others have stated. One thing I don’t understand is that you have spare spots for yarn but once you fill the last spot you automatically lose. I don’t understand why it allows you 5 spots but once you use the last one you lose. It would make more sense to me if you can utilize the last spot and play until no other moves are available. (For example if you need a yellow but it’s covered by red and you put red in the last spare spot you automatically lose instead of being able to play the yellow and continue the game) I hope my explanation makes sense. I still love the game but that gets annoying.

Limited free ads are stupid and so is losing lives

I think it’s really stupid to only allow people to be able to watch 5 free ads per day to get rewards, especially when you have to use them to get through all the hard levels and then it’s like you can’t play the game anymore until the next day. Also, I have another problem with this game that I want to mention. So I like to listen to podcasts while I play mobile games, and the ads that are unmutable ruin it. But what I usually do when this happens on other apps is I’ll close the app and start again so maybe I’ll get another ad that can be muted. But apparently when you do that on this app, you lose a life and when you lose (I think five?) lives you can’t play anymore for a certain amount of time. Between that and the issue I mentioned above, it feels like the developers don’t even want you to play their game which I won’t anymore because I’ve tried out other yarn unravel-type games, and because of the those major issues this is the most poorly designed app of this type that I have ever tried by far. Basically this app is hot garbage and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’ll uninstall and stop playing like y’all apparently want me to lol.

Excellent Game… But the freezing is terrible.

I want to start off by saying this game is actually one of the best games I’ve played in a while. To some it might be boring but for me, it’s actually great at keeping my attention these days.. However, this game is CONSTANTLY freezing even after it’s been “updated for performance”. Another issue is, the SHEIN ads that randomly pop up during the game. If I wanted to shop on SHEIN, I wouldn’t need their ad to come up in the middle of a game to get me to do so and because of that happening, I actually deleted SHEIN’s app off of my phone. If this app doesn’t fix its issues, regardless of how great of a game it is, I will be deleting it as well. It’s 2025, if an ad has to be prioritized over the consumer’s experience then the company needs to reevaluate who its main focus is cause it’s clearly not the consumer.

Fun, when it’s not glitching

I enjoy playing this game, but the constant glitching gets really frustrating. When the banner ads on the bottom reload, the game glitches. It manages to remember whatever you unintentionally tapped before the glitch and then you make a wrong move when it unfreezes. It also doesn’t remember where you are if you switch to another app. I quickly answered a text message and came back on a very difficult level with just a few moves left and the entire app reloaded and I lost my progress and the boosters I had used. Despite strategizing well, it doesn’t seem possible to win more advanced levels without watching videos. This means that this game would be virtually unplayable while flying or any other spot where you don’t have a signal. It seems the glitches are a constant complaint amongst the reviews. It would be nice to see the developers address this issue.

Super Fun— when you actually get to play

The game itself is fun, but would be way more fun and worth keeping if you could actually win a level without watching multiple ads or spending coins EVERY single level. And I don’t say that my heartedly either. I think I have only played one level That I actually (and my family) win without having to watch an ad or purchase extra things to pass the level). Which is even more frustrating that if you have to choose the free version, you literally have to watch an ad after every single level . So due to the near impossibility of each level, plus finishing the level you will spend more time watching ads than actually playing the . I know there is an option to go out free, but that’s not the issue. The main thing to consider is if you want to be able to enjoy the game and win naturally from time to time or spend most of your time watching ads in order to pass it.

A Great Version and App but A Lot of Ads

This is one of my favorite of the unravel yarn/wool puzzles. It doesn’t feel rigged against me and is easy to get the tools collected. It’s straightforward and doesn’t try and force me constantly to buy something in my opinion. However, I am frustrated with the amount of ads it forces you to watch. It’s a relaxing fun game that challenges the brain and the colors are very relaxing and not stimulating for me, but the ads really remove the flow and unwinding effect of the game. I do like the ads are not long ones though so fairly quick unlike some of the others with super long ads, and it is one of my favorite versions/apps of this game. I have started to play a different one mostly now though due to having a lot less ads. Still a fun game and one of the best interfaces of this sort!

Forced ads or purchases

It’s fun and all but on hard levels or super hard levels whatever is choosing the yarn you have to find is kind of stupid. Sometimes it gives me yarn that doesn’t even appear on the screen and I have to go through every single yarn ball to see if i can find it and sometimes i still can’t even find it and it makes me loose so I have to watch an ad. After you watch too many ads I guess it doesn’t give you an option to watch an ad again and you must spend a lot of your in game money or real money just to pass the level. Sometimes it also annoys me when I get stuck multiple times I keep having to redo the same yarn level over and over which is boring. They should at least give you an option to skip a level once you have tried to pass it too many times and it gets boring and no longer fun.

Paid version is a scam

This game feels like a scam. They charge you a large fee to buy the game so that it’s “ad-free,” but the way it’s set up, in order to win the hard levels, you have to use the tools it gives you. But once the tools run out, you have to BUY more or watch 5 ads to get 1 extra tool. So this game feels like a scam. Also, the hard levels are only hard bc you can only see one color underneath. And if the color you need is unavailable, then it’s a guessing game of which yarn you need to unravel. Instead, you should be able to click one button and see underneath ALL yarns at the same time. Then there should be a button that allows you to see 3 layers underneath. It’s not a game unless you can make strategic choices. Once you are guessing, all strategy is gone and you’re left just buying their tools bc the game is not possible to continue without them or getting lucky at guessing. Deleting and calling apple for my money back.
