New Halloween events updated!
Knit Away is a surprisingly tactile puzzle game that manages to capture the cozy, rhythmic nature of knitting without any of the actual yarn-tangled frustration. The core mechanic involves unspooling and weaving threads through increasingly complex grids to create specific patterns. It starts off as a simple pathfinding exercise, but as you reach the later stages, the introduction of 'entangled' knots and color-locked sections requires some serious lateral thinking.
The visual presentation is its strongest asset. The yarn textures look incredibly soft, and the sound of the knitting needles clicking provides a perfect ASMR-like background for the gameplay. It’s the kind of game you play to wind down after a long day; it doesn't rush you with timers, allowing you to focus purely on the logic of the weave. While it may seem simple at first glance, the 'Master Weaver' levels toward the end offer a genuine challenge for any seasoned puzzle enthusiast.
Tactile 3D yarn physics
Over 200 handcrafted puzzles
Satisfying ASMR sound design
Relaxing no-timer gameplay
In the 'Cable Stitch' levels, pay attention to which thread goes under first. You cannot unspool a bottom thread if a top thread is crossing it, so plan your exit route before you start pulling.
Each level has a target pattern at the top. Match the colors and the orientation of the stitches to earn three stars and unlock bonus 'Golden Yarn' skins.
No, Knit Away is fully playable offline, making it perfect for relaxing during travel.
I really enjoy playing this game, the colors are bright, the designs are fun, and the vibration of my phone when I pull a string is weirdly satisfying, but there are a couple of things that need work. First, I paid for no ads, but it seems to have taken away the option to watch ads to get boosters, though I can still watch an ad to get extra coins when I beat a level. Also, there needs to be some kind of daily log-in reward, because right now the only way for me to get boosters is to either pay real money or win a level to get more coins, and when I’m stuck on a level, my only option to win is to basically pay real money, since I don’t get ads for boosters. I pay to remove forced ads, but still would like the option to watch them if I want to in order to get coins and boosters.
This game has so much potential to be a fun relaxing game to pass time. I very much enjoyed the game concept and gameplay however the amount of ads and how long the ads run for is unreal. If you win a level, you have 2 options: either watch an ad to receive a bare minimum amount of coins, or the option to watch an ad and win 2-5x the coins. I have never played a game where you are forced to watch an ad either way until this game. If you lose a game, you are instantly put to watch an ad. Once you get around the 40th level or so, it is impossible for you to win the levels without an upgrade. If you don’t have enough coins, want more coins, or choose the unfortunate option of watching an ad, it is, believe it or not, 5 MINUTES. The ad itself runs for about two minutes, then you have to wait an additional minute for the X button to appear on your screen, then an additional minute for the X button to appear again before the 4th X to boot you back in the game with your upgrade. I have permanently deleted this game as the developer does not deserve to receive $10 to remove these outrageously long ads. This game is not worth that. I would highly recommend picking other games that do not force you to watch ads to continue playing. There are plenty of other games that deserve you and your time more than these greedy developers who chose to charge $10 for players to remove unbearably long ads the developers chose to include in their game.
I think developers who claim there are no ads in their apps and then who proceed to have an ad after every level should be held accountable and legally responsible for false advertisement. You literally have an ad after every single level, and then you also have to watch an ad if you want to get through some levels. I would actually enjoy this mind-numbing app otherwise, but with some of the levels, you absolutely cannot get through them without using the boosters. However, unless you watch an ad or spend some money, it is impossible to get through them without using the additional tools that are available. That means at some point you will have to watch ads. I’m not sure how this app acquired 4.9 stars, because I know I’m not the only person here who is annoyed about the fact that there are ads after every level, but that is also sketchy to me. As I said, although the game itself is enjoyable, it is not worth sitting through the monotony of ad after ad after ad when you have claimed there are none. I’d rather pay you an upfront fee for this app and earn the boosters/tools along the way than to waste any of my precious time on an ad. I will be deleting this app and continue to delete any others like it. I’ll also make sure that I leave 1-stars and negative feedback just like this so that maybe others will start to follow suit and force developers to be honest, ethical and transparent before we download these apps to our devices.
You can use skill and strategy, but it will take many tries to complete a level. Part of the problem on a cell phone screen is fine detail selections have to be made and a slip of the finger or fat ginger pad will fail you frequently. They are stingy with rewards. The basic game board and odds that the computer will randomly give you a break is very low. The end of each game, after completing many plays, seems to be a psyche set up to get you to buy tools. I am not opposed to spending money, but these guys are greedy. I have achieved #1 twice and top 10 many times in bigger games like Candy crush. I will play a challenging round over and over to win. But no amount of strategy will get you through this. You have to pay every game to every other game to get past the end of the game odds. I think these guys are greedy. Very few opportunities to win or receive tools. I am deleting it. I gave many other satisfying games down loaded. Don’t need this. It is fun. I like it. Visually appealing. I can’t afford it.
I have enjoyed this app, and found it the most reasonable to play version of yarn sorting/knitting games. I really like the design. In an effort to support the app makers I went ahead and purchased the remove ads bundle, and I sincerely wish I hadn’t. I thought I’d still have the option of choosing to buy tools/boxes with the in game currency OR by watching an ad, and simply remove the ads that automatically pop up when you complete a level. Nope, I’m now screwed and can either delete and no longer play the game because most levels are unworkable without the extra tools/boxes or I can pay more money for the in game currency or items, which I refuse to do. So if you’re looking for a well ordained and fun yarn spring app, this is a good fit, but DON’T buy the remove ads bundle because it makes the game unplayable. So disappointed, I wish I could remove that purchase from my account, the publisher can key the money, but I’m sad I won’t be able to enjoy this lowly game anymore.
I really enjoy the concept and graphics of this game, but the monetization is way too aggressive. The prices for packages and boosters are ridiculously high, especially considering how quickly those boosters can be used up on just one difficult level. At the same time, the rewards you earn for actually playing are extremely low — around 50–60 buttons for completing a level, while useful boosters can cost hundreds. The balance between what players earn and what things cost feels completely unreasonable. I already paid $9.99 to remove the constant ads after every level, but there are still rewarded ads throughout the game. That would be much less annoying if the ads at least respected the player’s sound settings. If sound, music, vibration, etc. are turned OFF in the game, and the phone itself is on silent, ads should NOT suddenly start blasting audio. Some ads do not even have an immediate mute button, and sometimes the mute control does not work properly. Having an advertisement suddenly start yelling through your phone when everything is set to silent is incredibly irritating. For a game that is clearly generating significant revenue, surely it is possible to provide a better user experience. Please make ads silent by default when the user has sound disabled, and reconsider both the extremely high booster prices and the very small rewards players receive for completing levels. The game itself is fun and visually satisfying, but the aggressive monetization is making me seriously consider deleting it.
The game was really good at first. I loved it. I was able to get through the hard levels by watching ads, now I can’t. I got to level 284, and was struggling to pass the level because I couldn’t watch ads. I would come back to this game everyday thinking I’ll be able to get an ad to help me pass the level but nope. I ended up unfortunately having to spend money just to be able to pass the level. Since I passed the level, I thought I would of been able to get ads now to help me pass the next level but nope. I still don’t have ads, so I ended up deleting the game. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what but, don’t make hard levels and not let us watch ads so we can get help and pass the levels. Overall, great game just wish it wasn’t a glitch for not giving us ads to help us out though the level🫤.
1. Win the game? Here’s an ad. Want to multiply your coins? Only with an ad. About to lose and want an extra life? Here’s an ad. Lose the game (due to bad RNG?) Here’s an ad. Lose the game (just because you’re bad at it?) Here’s an ad. Want to just start over? Here’s an ad anyway. 2. You can’t zoom in enough. There are tiny things you’re supposed to hit that you can’t control whether it will hit that or the one next to it. This is by design- they want you to lose. Forget about trying to see what color is underneath the tiny ones. Holding down your finger doesn’t matter when your finger covers up the whole piece anyway. 3. Banner ads at the bottom of your screen randomly start playing tiny videos with volume, and you can’t X out of them. Any advertisers that see this- I think negatively of all the products I see in these ads. ☺️ 4. I’ve seen the “No ads” go for 30, 20, 10, and 5 dollars 😂 It’s all made up. They just want to see what you will pay. They could charge a dollar if they wanted. Don’t waste your money. 5. Some levels have to be played 10+ times before you’ll get RNG that lets you win the game without watching ads or paying for coins. Players want to be able to win without watching more ads! 6. Weird looking AI-generated art. Looks fuzzy and yet smooth, just gross.
