Pretty good!
Tue Jul 15 2025 ACRONOXX

I played the demo of it, and gotta say, it’s pretty good. It has good graphics, simple design, and a versatile gameplay structure. The gameplay is mostly a regular tower defense game, except for its player combat which does add a bit to it, also including the interesting mechanics of certain enemies. It is a bit disappointing that the only permanent improvements seem to be from getting perks from, what’s described as a level system. It’s a repeated tower defense that has more emphasis on the upgrades than tower placement which is kind of gross in my opinion. Finally, I’ll conclude with saying that it’s a nice game, but it isn’t worth 8 or 12 dollars with such little general difference between other tower defenses.

Warning: May Result In Unhealthy Gaming Obsession

I can’t believe someone would make something like this. I mean, this is obviously far too entertaining to be healthy. It’s everything you ever want in a game, people don’t need this kind of all-rounder! If you have ever wanted a game with lots of strategy and many diverse options but at the same time sufficient wiggle room so that you don’t have to worry too much about what you spend your money on, along with plenty of discovery and exploration, and also building and lots of satisfying effects, do not download this game, because you will get addicted. It also doesn’t seem to have ads (I’m about an hour in ad-free) because of the paid edition being an option, which has what looks like a lot of content, and there is always the option to upgrade to it. This is facilitation, plain and simple. And don’t be fooled by the perfectly-sized levels, just because you HAVE a good stopping place doesn’t mean you are going to use it. Just like a binge-worthy TV show, another source of addiction.

pls don’t listen to ppl asking you to turn this into a pay to win, ad riddled, in-app purchase game

because this game is perfect the way it is. saving up $12 isn’t hard, even as a kid. ask your parents to do chores for an allowance. ask for this game for Christmas. i saw one review saying they were 16? can’t you get a car and license or at least a job near your school? you can’t just ask developers to change their entire game to suit your lifestyle. the game is fine. i’m TIRED of iphone games sucking the life out of everything with pay-to-win mechanics, UNRELENTING ads, and in-app purchases. if you can’t pay for it, i’m sorry. but there are ways to be able to eventually pay for it and it’s just insane to ask to turn an iphone game that is unique into the average IOS game lol. it’s perfect! i also don’t understand why i can’t score a victory even if i win on the Frostee level, is it because i haven’t gotten all of the crowns on the previous level?

I downloaded this game the other day and just started playing it today and its phenomenal. At first I was confused with exactly what I was supposed to do and when I picked it up after a few short moments of pondering and realization I realized I was being dumb because its very simple to understand but the actual combat and movement and upgrades are very important because you can take command of your army and have them follow you on the assault or break up your army into multiple different groups guarding gates and farms or buildings and where you position your troops is important because its literally a make or break battle where if your not paying attention you can lose it all. I like the combat based with the troop command system ALOT and I’ve always wanted to play a game with a command system much like this one. Its just overall a lot of fun and I enjoy seeing and partaking in the battles with a massive army of my own.

Incredibly fun! Love the cross-device support for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Really enjoyable strategy game that’s easy for anyone to pick up and learn. The controls and game mechanics are simple enough to pick up and feel confident with after a few rounds, but the game has enough depth for a ton of replayability. Bonus points for having saves that track across Apple devices too. Quick rounds are great on the go with my phone, but sitting on the couch and playing on the big iPad screen is a joy. If you enjoy tower defense/strategy-type games and don’t want all the microtransaction garbage that those games are usually littered with, this is a must-buy.

Worth the price!

I own this already on Steam and its a simple to play but very challenging game. If you hate seeing those terrible Kingshot ads, this is the actually good game they were stealing from! The first non-tutorial level is free, the rest you’ll have to pay for, which is more than your average mobile game, but its well worth the price for the amount of content you’re getting, especially with the whole mutator mechanic allowing you to try for higher scores as long as you still enjoy actually playing it.

Amazing with great replay

I’m in my mid 50’s and have been into strategy games from Risk to Eve to Don’t Starve to whatever, and have tried countless crafting games. I am amazed at how well balanced this game is. Just the right amount of complexity without being dumbed down. I would love two things: some sort of endless or builder mode as well as some sort of map making (to share?). I know that gets away from the core game, but honestly, this must be in my top 3 all time games. Just the right balance of everything.

Great strategy game

Own this on Steam already, but iOS really needs more titles like Thronefall. Very well polished and plays great on all device sizes, especially the iPad. I know if I persist I can get the $10 purchase option, but it is worth the $13 just to keep the dream alive that more developers will bring their premium titles to the iPhone. And thank you for taking the ‘try before you buy’ route even though it will always bring the one star reviews that want the full product for free.
