I am an old school call of duty player. When I was in high school and college it was what we did in our off time. Nothing will compare to my first nuke. Fast forward when I got a little older and my first real job out of college and Destiny released. Was. A little skeptical at first, but like most I ended up buying it and MAN was that like nothing else I had even played before. First person shooter but also WoW like to grind levels and get gear. Anyway fast forward and D2 drops. But older now and frankly that first raid did not cut it. I played on and off for a bit but haven’t played since the vault of glass remake. Then I saw randomly in the App Store this game was going to be launching soon. I thought there was no way and this was going to be one of those cheesy games you get ads for but I was very wrong. It is amazing that they made this as a mobile game. I can get on iPad when I have a few minutes or laying in bed. Definitely scratches the itch a bit. The campaign was good. Characters and cool and activities are pretty cool. Overall really enjoying this game. Is it D1? Of course not but think it does a lot of things better than D2. Would recommend to any destiny player to give it a whirl.
So, I can really go into a spiral about how great this universe is. Even with Destiny Rising being set in a different timeline… this captures the essence of Destiny. Yes, it’s a gatcha game and you will be incentivized to spend money. However, you’re going to end up spending equally - if not more money - on Destiny 2 content that will depreciate or become irrelevant. I highly recommend spending a small amount of cash to get the ball rolling on upgrades and mythic characters and by reallocating money spent from Destiny 2 (which is like 40$ every 6 months) you can obtain very strong characters with abilities never before seen in the Destiny 2 universe. This game has been out for possibly close to a month at this point and it has a similar amount of melee abilities and supers than Destiny 2 and the other is 11 years old. All but two have their own unique style exclusive to Destiny Rising. Lore wise, we meet characters that we’ve heard of in grimore cards from way back in 2014. Kabr has been known of since the Vault of Glass but his first apperence is in this game. We have some crazy potential in this timeline to make the best Destiny story. Please keep this universe alive, and let it thrive. To any of the story tellers for this game - please buy out rights to this IP. Make a movie on it. My memories of this game live within myself. I crave for a way to share that. 11 years of just playing expansions within this game.
I miss back in the day back in the day when they was only destiny one and two and we need to put our character Together like a reasonable person, not a puzzle one that we have to define and figure out. I miss the days when I could just put a gun on the character. And that was that now this thing has to stick with that character. That gun doesn’t go with that character and etc. etc. my huckleberry doesn’t go with anything. Except some puffy elf guy who looks like he’s more from the Lord of the rings than he is from destiny That being said I just wanna equip my guns to whoever I want and be able to afford that gothic character. I really we only have to pick three characters to maintain not however, many we have. What is it like eight. I’ve lost count, but the point still stands wouldn’t too many characters means that you won’t focus on any of them. Too many chefs, spoiled the stew or so saying go’s here’s another one he chases too many rabbits is getting none them for dinner or something like that basically let us choose our characters and the ones we wanna be responsible for like three or four not like eight or maybe just one or two and that’s all I have signing off sincerely Patrick Lemieux
I’ve only been playing for a couple hours and I’ve already spotted some problems, but I don’t have an effective way to report them. I don’t really use forums, nor do I use Reddit at all. Regardless of those choices, the Destiny Rising page doesn’t seem to have any place for user support. If it does, it’s really hard to find. I have some solid suggestions and grievances to share. I don’t think this review page is the best place to share them, and I don’t want to write a new review every time I have a problem. Please make it easier to give feedback. In case anyone is reading my feedback here, you can sprint during reload to skip some of the reload time (in case you think it’s not a bug, Bungie has prevented this exploit in Destiny 2), the sparrow speed up charges too slow (pointless since players can bypass the charge by getting off and back on their sparrow), and the clown cartridge perk doesn’t work well with pulse rifles (reloading doesn’t always give you a multiple of three, weakening the last burst of the magazine). There’s still more I haven’t mentioned, hence why I’d like a proper support page.
Destiny: Rising has been a surprisingly strong experience so far. The mix of familiar Destiny universe elements with fresh storytelling has kept me engaged—especially the inclusion of deeper lore like the Ahamkara and how their presence still carries weight and consequence. I’ve also appreciated the attention given to side characters and world-building details, like Eliksni traditions and punishments, which make the universe feel more alive. Gameplay has been smooth and polished, and I’ve noticed the team putting care into balance and pacing. I particularly enjoy how character arcs unfold naturally within the missions, instead of feeling bolted on. The game manages to feel new while respecting what came before, which is no small feat. Overall, it feels like the team is investing in both storytelling and gameplay systems equally, which keeps me excited to log in. I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to expand the world and what new twists they introduce next.
Hi this is me being honest about the game i am a long time destiny fan and came from console I’ve played every type of console and love the theme here with the destiny mobile version it is great but i get stuck pretty often in the game which is understandable stating the fact its a brand new game so will have glitches. Overall id like to say keep up the stories and the limits to being able to push forward past certain dates for story mode, giving everyone a fair chance to catch up weather advanced or beginning player. Ive had happy and angry feelings about the aim or accuracy of some of these bosses in the game wish we could at least get a damage reduction on them or the the possible shield created for them is to long. Also think public close proximity chat being available when in any area would be delightful.
Destiny 1 was one of my favorite games from childhood. I wish I had. Destiny Rising brings back the nostalgic feeling. I do think there is too much going on in terms of different modes and materials. Too much on the screen. You guys should simplify it a little bit. I also dislike mobile shooters a little bit because I play with my thumbs and sometimes I press a button and it doesn’t work. It’s frustrating trying to tap on tiny buttons. I wish the action buttons like shooting, jumping, punching etc were easier to press and not press when just trying to move the camera. You guys don’t have to do too much. Destiny on mobile is pretty cool. Graphics and locations look good. Weapons feel good. The game so far seems like a success. This is my third day playing. Don’t let people who pay money get way ahead of casual poorer players. Best part of destiny is high level team missions, pvp, and exclusive loot. Don’t have us grinding for hours. Skill over time played. That’s all. God bless you.
It is with a very heavy heart that I can’t give this game five stars don’t give me wrong. I love this game. It’s definitely a game. I would recommend you picking up if you do not have a console and can only play games on your phone the controller backwards, controller compatibility is something that is definitely sought after especially on the mobile platform and destiny rising deliverance with the whole fear of destiny as well as being the only individuals that could outdo themselves, however I do not like the swap from destiny one and two from the CAC and the gearing ability as for the character specific and character specific gear that is the only pet peeve I have but it’s not really something to turn the game down on. It’s just I can’t personally give the game five stars if I don’t feel in my heart that it’s a five star game. It’s a really really good game. I just don’t think it deserves five I could be wrong other people might have different opinions. This is just how I feel.
