Our Expert Score

82/100

Capybara Go! is the cozy RPG I didn't know I needed. It perfectly blends the 'chill' vibes of the internet's favorite rodent with surprisingly deep roguelike mechanics. You set off on an adventure as a capybara, and while much of the journey involves making friends and eating grass, the turn-based encounters and random events keep the gameplay loop fresh and unpredictable.

The art style is undeniably charming, utilizing a soft, hand-drawn aesthetic that makes every new zone feel like a discovery. It’s the kind of game you can play while relaxing on the couch; it doesn't demand lightning-fast reflexes, but it does reward smart choice-making regarding your skills and equipment. It’s wholesome, funny, and genuinely well-crafted.

The Most Relaxing Game You’ll Ever Play
Sat Mar 29 2025 muffin choclate cool

If you’re looking for a game that perfectly captures the chill, carefree vibes of a capybara, Capybara Go is an absolute must-play. From the moment I started playing, I was hooked by its relaxing atmosphere, adorable characters, and surprisingly engaging gameplay. Unlike other mobile games that pressure you with timers, leaderboards, or intense challenges, Capybara Go is all about taking things slow and enjoying the little moments—just like a real capybara would. The game’s world is beautifully designed, with lush landscapes, peaceful rivers, and cozy sunbathing spots where your capybara can just vibe. The animations are smooth, the colors are soft and inviting, and every interaction feels charmingly wholesome. Whether you’re floating in a pond, munching on some snacks, or befriending other animals, Capybara Go creates a sense of calm that’s hard to find in other games. But don’t mistake its relaxed pace for a lack of depth—there’s plenty to do! You can customize your capybara with different accessories, explore various environments, and even interact with other players in a friendly, non-competitive way. It’s the kind of game that you can play for five minutes or five hours and still feel satisfied. If you need a break from the stress of everyday life, I highly recommend giving Capybara Go a try. It’s easily one of the most enjoyable and heartwarming games I’ve played in a long time.

So I’ve been playing this game and right now I’ve been playing it. It’s really fun. It’s an action pack like you don’t really have to do anything. This is one problem. I just have, though I think it’s like to pay to win because like there’s like by this by this, but like if it wasn’t too much pay to win, I think it would be good And also I will give this a great review. You can play with your friend you can add your friends in the game you can also like do a whole bunch of stuff in the game and especially like it because like there was like a battling system and you also feel like upgrades and like a whole bunch of other stuff And you also get like animals black market like all that stuff and I think this game is really fun. I think it’s for like the people who like no like I have to do much games but also like to like do a little bit but also like the people who like to do it a lot this game maybe for you because you have to do a lot of things you have to pick your abilities and like I think this game for being like the people who didn’t wanna do much or do much so I would say it’s good for both of them. I love this game. I think you should get itand when you watch an ad there’s literally zero ads until you go to watch an ad on a thing right but only that has ads nothing else so I would say great with the ad thing.

Loved it

**Capybara GO is pure joy in text form!** From the very start, the whimsical adventure of being a capybara captured my heart. The game’s charm lies in its simplicity—it's a text-based roguelike that manages to create a lively and engaging world through clever writing and random events. The humor and quirky scenarios kept me smiling as I bonded with my capybara companion, outfitting them with gear and forging alliances with other adorable animals. Every choice felt impactful, making the experience immersive despite its minimalist presentation. What makes *Capybara GO* stand out is its unpredictability. The randomized adventures ensured no two playthroughs were the same, giving me a delightful mix of surprises every time I played. The blend of whimsy, irreverence, and chaos was expertly balanced, and I loved uncovering hidden secrets with my loyal capybara companion. Whether I chose the safe path or embraced the "chaotic capybara route," the game kept me hooked with its creative challenges and heartwarming character interactions. Overall, *Capybara GO* is a masterpiece of fun and creativity. It’s perfect for anyone who loves animals, rogue-like games, or just a good laugh. The developers clearly poured so much love into crafting a world that’s equal parts adorable and absurd. If you’re looking for a lighthearted and endlessly replayable game, this capybara-filled adventure is a must-play. It’s rare for a text-based game to evoke this much joy, but *Capybara GO* managed to exceed all my expectations!

VERY FUN AND ADDICTIVE

Originally I made a review saying that it was not the best because you only tap one button. But now after I have played it a little longer I realize that it would make the game take so much longer. This game is the best, it is cute, fun, and addictive. I definitely recommend playing this game. The only thing is that when you first start out it may be confusing to understand all the extra things like the dungeons or even how the pets work. But otherwise that this game is 100% worth it. You don’t even have to pay or watch adds to have a fun time playing. Unlike other games the adds really only come in when you want more money. There are no pop ups, and no “watch a video to get a revive” which I know some people may not like but I feel that if you could watch a video to get a revive it would take the whole point out of it. GET THIS GAME. SUGGESTION: So I have been playing long enough that I have unlocked adventurers, I kind of wish that when you equip an adventurer you have a choose of changing what you physically look like. Because I personally would rather play as a capybara rather than a pig. It would still give you power but you can still play as a capybara. Just a little suggestion it’s ok if it doesn’t get added to the game :)

Best game EVER!!!

I really like this game. It’s about a cute capybara (I love capybaras and I’ve been trying to no avail to find the perfect capybara game, and this is the one!!!) that goes on adventures and you get to have pets, and choose skills, and battle monsters, and make choices, and customize and upgrade your capybara, and cast spells, and…. I just love this game. It’s so adorable and fun, and if you don’t have time to start a journey there are so many other things you can do! Some things I would recommend: new levels, the ability to customize pets (although maybe it’s there and I just haven’t unlocked it yet), a capybara “house” that you can decorate and live in, other capybaras, some dialog, and more of a plot. Right now the story is basically just “you go on adventures”, so it would be nice if there was a backstory. I know that coding is super hard to do and this game is already AMAZING and my favorite game (totally worth it!) so you don’t need to do any of that. It’s already almost perfect! I find this game super relaxing and fun, and I’m so happy with it. It’s free to download AND no ads unless you choose them… it’s not boring and nothing is really overpriced, just wish there was a bit more of a story. Anyways, five stars, great game!

Capybara Go is an incredibly fun and addicting game that offers a unique experience like no other. Its simple yet engaging gameplay lets you step into the world of adorable capybaras, with creative tasks and challenges that keep you hooked for hours. Whether you’re exploring vibrant environments, collecting cool items, or unlocking new capybara skins, every moment in the game feels rewarding. The developers have done a fantastic job of keeping the game fresh, ensuring that there’s always something exciting to look forward to. Best of all, it’s easy to pick up and play, making it the perfect game for relaxing after a long day. What sets Capybara Go apart is its lack of intrusive ads. Unlike many mobile games that bombard you with constant interruptions, this game allows you to focus entirely on the fun without any distractions. This seamless, ad-free experience makes it stand out in a crowded market and ensures you can enjoy the gameplay to the fullest. It’s clear that the creators prioritized the players’ experience, allowing you to dive into the charming world of capybaras without worrying about interruptions. If you’re looking for a stress-free and enjoyable game, Capybara Go is definitely worth trying!

Started fun, became awful.

This game is adorable. I love capybaras, they’re my favorite animal and the main reason i downloaded the game. I enjoyed the gameplay for the first week of playing or so, but afterwards it just became an endless grind for money and I guess that’s all it is now. There is so many in-app purchases that it’s hard to avoid pressing them even. The entirety of the PVP ladder is also dominated by people who have paid hundreds of dollars or more on benefits for this game, such as VIP rank, weapons, armour, familiars, whatever. And to top it all off, after being away for a couple days apparently your guild (which you, the owner had founded paid for and managed for its entirety.) can be TAKEN OVER by someone you don’t even know, although YOUR currency was used to actually found and build it from the ground up. My big question is I get it if I was offline for a month, or even two weeks. But why is it that a day or two and I lose the right to something I paid for? It’s just unfair and bad game design all around. The constant adding of new grindy features bloats the game to where opening it feels like a chore, and the loss of my role as guild leader put the final nail in the coffin for me. This is a happy uninstall and I hope nobody falls into the trap of dumping their paycheck into this game like everyone on the leaderboard has. If you don’t want to feel pitiful and insignificant compared to those people, just don’t play this game.

This game saved my life! (Real!) (Heartwarming!)

I don't usually write reviews for games but this is incredible! I love the art style because of how amazingly cute it is! I play with my girlfriend (we downloaded it as a joke but it was surprisingly one of my favorite mobile games ever!) and playing with others is so fun, I only wish that there was some aspect of multiplayer! This game is actually so addicting that one day I was walking and I got so hooked on choosing what upgrade to give my adorable capybara that I stopped to focus on what the upgrades were. I just so happened to stop right before a drunk driver went barreling right in front of me! Any more steps and I would have been dead. I thank the creators of this game every morning for making such a fun game that saved my life! I love the adorable pets so much and there are so many events that the game is never stale. although there are some payed aspects I never feel too pressured to use them and they even make all the ads optional! All in all, this is one of the best mobile games on the market, free or payed! TLDR: This game made me not die by being really darn cute and its a genuinely amazingly made game.
