bug fix
One of the best games I have played in a while on mobile. I’ve been playing roughly three and a half weeks now daily. Personally I consider this game 100% F2P friendly. It might feel like a pay wall at times but that’s just a skill issue and low upgrade level. The weekly event is fun and with the correct upgrades can take a couple hours to play one attempt. Unfortunately it feels like you are playing against bot when none of them score above 1 million points and none of them come close to your score if you get over 5 million +.The only thing I am not a fan of is that the spin x10 is the highest it goes for upgrades. I would love to see a spin 50 or even spin 100 option. Also a friends List with a friends leaderboard so you can compete with each other in the 7 day events would be fun.
The game itself is fun, it is not exactly difficult but I would HIGHLY recommend you watch the Ads that give you bonus damage or extra weapons, etc. Once you’re about 75% down the “mineshaft” the speed really picks up and without the bonuses received from watching Ads I’m not sure how you’d win the level. Multiple levels I’ve watched no less than 5 Ads for bonuses and I was barely able to squeak out a win. I’m not new to gaming or mobile gaming and I’m telling you the game is designed to make you fall short unless you watch the Ads for bonuses. As for the title of this review, if you pause the game for too long, like for the 10 minutes I took to eat lunch, the game auto-failed me for the level I was on. Thing is, I had the layers of rock already broken below the dotted line that shows where your main cannon kicks in. I was AHEAD OF THE GAME, paused it to eat lunch for literally 10 minutes, and it says I failed the level as soon as I went back to it. If it’s a bug, I get it. If that is the way the game is programmed……I’d sooner dump it and never look at the developer again because that’s a shady way of programming your game.
Honestly a great game to play when you just need to kill some time. At the time of writing this there are only 6 worlds to visit however and I got to world 4 within a week of fairly idle play. Still, it’s mildly ad heavy since I like to make sure I’m getting silver coins and planetary coins as often as possible and even then my progress is still heavily slowed making the energy system kind of useless. I also just installed the update recently and it had an issue trying to install properly, so I had to delete and reinstall from my Home Screen. I hadn’t set up any connection to a Google or Apple account because I didn’t know it wasn’t connected like that and I just lost my entire week of progress. It’s not the worst thing in the world because I thought this game could use some replay content in case it just ended at hitting the end of world 6, but I did lose over 3000 planetary coins and all my levels into my various weapons…so that bites pretty bad.
This game is great, but there are a few things I would like to be changed, 1.The progression goes pretty slow at times, so you have to wait until you get keys to make good progress, if you don’t, then you make progress very slowly. 2.The red upgrades for the weapons are way too powerful compared to the regular ones, and most times you have to stick to a single weapon. 3.I haven’t seen this yet, but If planet weapons aren’t multi-equip-able, I think you should make them weaker but you can equip as many as you want. 4.On the topic, Planet coins are INSANELY hard to get, and I think there should be a better way to get them.
DDDiggger is a genuinely fun and addictive game with satisfying mechanics and a simple yet engaging design. The digging gameplay is rewarding, and there’s a nice variety of upgrades and challenges to keep you hooked. Unfortunately, the fun is constantly interrupted by an overwhelming number of ads. There are ads for extra powers, ads after every round, and even ads when you just want to continue playing. While offering a way to skip ads is appreciated, it’s locked behind a confusing and frustrating system of in-app purchases. You can’t just pay once to remove ads, instead, you have to buy your way through a whole chain of purchases (with in-game tickets) before the “no ads” feature becomes available. That feels like an unnecessary grind and a bit of a cash grab. I’d gladly pay a fair price to remove the ads outright, but the current system really puts a damper on an otherwise great experience. If the developers streamlined the monetization, this could easily be a 5-star game.
I have never seen so many ad prompts in a game. Every level you play through, you can expect between 5-10 ad prompts. The “ad-free” pack itself is locked behind several other purchases that you must make first. I would never recommend this game to anyone solely based on the insane amount of ad prompts. Many reward systems require you to pay. For instance, there’s a currency you can feed into a reward system. Usually, you play a few levels and have enough currency to go up 1 tier. However, many of the tiers don’t give rewards at all unless you make a purchase (which means that all of the currency you just spent was completely wasted unless you spend real money to get it, even though you just slogged through multiple stages to get there.). This is, by far, the greediest game I’ve ever played. I would never recommend it to anyone. AVOID THIS GAME. Please don’t encourage greedy devs to continue these terrible practices by downloading the game and paying.
I made the mistake of clicking to remove ads without looking further… the initial $2.99 buys you tickets to “remove” ads. When I use the tickets I immediately get a forced ad after. Claimed the next free rewards just to find another $2.99 purchase for tickets. I keep scrolling and the prices only continue to increase just for tickets. Total in the end it’s over $30 to remove ads???? Are you kidding??? The game isn’t that fun. *update- I kept playing the game since I already paid for part of the no ads things. The tickets I got for it have all been blown through by the game forcing me to claim extra rewards even when I tapped basic. Gotta fix that, even though I did notice the ads have become more bearable lately. The game is fun and frustrating but the no ads price is still way to high for an app.
Honestly it’s GREAT! It could be better though. I just started today and I feel like it’s satisfying because just breaking dirt and gold is fun to me. It’s a fun game to kill time on. But I have some things that I hope you guys add in the future. I think you could add multiplayer. It seems like a game that would have multiplayer. You should add it. Maybe add a chat to so you can chat with your friends. Because I have a couple of friends who play this game and I wanna play with them to! Ether way it’s a good time killer game. (BTW I only did this because the game said I should to admire them and I love this game so why not?)
