This update adds support for arbitrary non-square buildings, introduces a built-in file manager with music import, and includes a few community memes. We’ve improved job distribution, terrain editing range, auto resolution selection, and UI rendering on narrow screens. Several issues were fixed, including shader crashes, dialog placement, heightmap handling, and ambient sound behavior. Translations have also been updated.
This game is really amazing, I seriously believe that no other city-builder makes it easier to build high detail cities without having to navigate glitches and third party apps and software. The only problem with this is that, at higher levels of detail, the game often runs so incredibly poorly it is unplayable, and often crashes. Granted, the average player will not encounter such, but it can still be annoying. With recent updates, however, things have gotten much better (I doubt my game would have run if I was using the version from when I first started playing). The quality of the game must also be complemented. Its tools make it incredibly easy to build a high detail city, from decals to uber mode. Its built in plugin and screenshot system also makes it possible to share your creations and expand beyond the base games limitations. I most definitely recommend this game, don’t pay for any city builder on mobile, this is literally all you need, there is something for everybody here, if you take the time to look. The daily rewards system makes it entirely possible to obtain nearly anything want, completely free. I guarantee it is completely free to play.
This game is absolutely great if you’re looking to build more than just a city. This game gives you control over many aspects of a specific city as well as the ability to connect your cities together to benefit off of each other. The plugins and content available make it worth working for gems. Would rate this game 5 stars, however, there is one issue that still stands after being around for almost 9 years. Online regions cost a considerable amount of gems depending on the size of the region. This only applies to regions being published online to be used or viewed by other players. Commerce between cities is essential for starting new cities using pre-existing resources and makes things a lot easier. After spending the money and over 25+ hours I’ve finally managed to get the region and the friends to play, but the commerce feature just does not apply to this mode. This lack of feature alone is enough for me to play the game considerably less due to the fact that despite it being somewhat online, you are limited by the developers and cannot bridge any cities together. If this issue gets fixed, I will put a 5 star review and give positive feedback towards others. But after seeing forum posts on the official site dated 2016, I seriously doubt this will ever change. If you’re looking for a great single player experience you can find some of it here, but there are other games that do not share this issue that can be played with friends.
Im Taking A Moment To Write This, I usually always abstain myself from the typing reviews or engaging or investing time into this, i hope at least 1 of the developers takes a second look at this review but man, from the moment i open the game i simply had my mind blown, little by little the more i looked around, the more i understood the game & it’s complexity, i knew then this game was a gem and i instantly fell inlove with it dude, i spent a good 20 bucks on the side and is worth every penny. 0 complaints, just 1 request. Keep this game alive please, is a gem the details , art work like jesus christ the art and details on the game , buildings , biomes , decorationsssss !! Please keep updating me, this is one of the only games i do not mind spending 1, 5$ on from time to time to unlock the new things. This game is amazing and i can’t stress it enough, i just had to take the time to let your team know you guys actually killed it and that’s coming from a picky gamer specially on phones, you guys nailed the level of complexity that makes it feel like a REALLL game , and still made it so understandable at the same time is just amazing balance . Thank you. Genuine opinion from a gamer, to whoever reads this next.
TheoTown is a mobile game that allows players to build and manage their own cities. The game has a simple yet engaging interface, with easy-to-understand controls and an intuitive tutorial. Players can customize their cities with different buildings, roads, and parks, as well as manage resources such as electricity and water. Overall, TheoTown is an enjoyable city-building game that offers plenty of customization options and challenges for players to enjoy. The graphics are colorful and detailed, the controls are easy to use, and the tutorial is helpful for new players. The game also has a wide variety of buildings, resources, and missions to keep players engaged for hours on end. If you’re looking for a fun city-building experience on your mobile device, TheoTown is definitely worth checking out!
This is a really fun and addicting game but I think it could use a few things. First of all, I would like to see curved roads and train tracks. I don’t really like the look of my city just having strait roads, unlike in real life. Also, I think the airport buildings should get redesigned because they don’t really look like airport buildings and are kinda ugly (no offense). Also, i would REALLY like to see more building rotations. It’s so annoying trying to place a fire station or water pump while trying to make sure it’s lined up with the road accurately! Also, I would like to have a choise between bridge types when building elevated roads and train tracks. Finally,I would like to be able to destroy or place things without having to keep on having to delete, then delete again and so on until you have deleted everything you want. For example, if you just built a giant highway and get something wrong, you can just delete the whole thing with one click! You have to keep deleting it but by bit. Anyway, in conclusion, TheoTown is a great game but could use some new features.
I mean it when I say this is the best game I’ve played in years. I’m very picky about what I like and I’ve spent dozens of hours on this game because the graphics, customization, game modes, and possibilities to create your town are so well thought out and so satisfying to play! Hats off to the creators of this game for bringing the Tycoon series back to life but in a much more modern way. I appreciate how minimal the ads are and you can CHOOSE to watch them unlike other games on the app store that bombard you the entire time and make it unplayable. It also does not force you to spend real money to advance. You can advance naturally without micro transactions. I can’t say enough great things about the game and can’t wait to see what these developers come up with next.
This game overall is perfect, but one thing I wish to change is waiting for demand. Waiting for demand takes so long and hardly ever goes up, and I then don’t make as much money. City Skylines is such a good example of what this game could of truly been. I sound like I’m whining over small demand, but thats not it. I’m tired of having this game be real fun then get boring and have to sit and just watch your city until you exit the game. The PC version of this game is so much better. Theres not build time you get >>> instead of > & >> and it’s just overall better then the mobile. They really gotta make this game more fun then let it get repetitive. I’m sorry to say this but you I really feel like these devs just wan’t money. They make it an option for you to get free money if you watch and ad. And if you send the game link to one of ur friends you’ll get diamond’s. Really looks like you wan’t money.
The lack of instructions and clarification on what I’m looking at in the menu and what things mean, such as the demands from my zones knocks the game down to four stars. I love to spend time in the game, and the free plug ins are so worth your time and help to expand the game to your own liking customizing my town and managing everything is exactly what I want from a game like this, and it being a free app is one of my absolute favorite things about it. The thing that knocks this down to three stars is the fact that watching an ad will break your game, the process for the ad to pull up its link to the AppStore never completes, so you’re frozen on the darkened version of the ad, and the only way to do anything is to fully exit and restart the game reloading at your last save point and not giving you the reward for the ad you watched.
TheoTown is a city building game in which you can build and manage your own city. Take on the role of a city builder and manage multiple cities!
