The Walking Dead: Survivors is a solid 4X strategy entry that uses the IP much more effectively than many of its predecessors. It manages to capture the constant sense of dread and resource scarcity that defines the series. The 'Base Defense' segments—where you actually watch walkers swarm your fences—add a visceral layer to the usual menu-heavy strategy gameplay.
The social aspect is the real engine here. Joining a 'Clan' feels essential for survival, as the world is full of other players who are just as desperate as the walkers. The integration of iconic characters like Rick and Glenn feels meaningful, as their skills are tied to actual gameplay advantages. It’s a gritty, high-stakes management sim that rewards diplomacy and cautious expansion.

Wed Jun 09 2021 RozluvsuI’m fascinated by the game, it’s an amazing game. However, I don’t get notifications EVER. I have tried to adjust the settings in the game as well as on my phone multiple times and I still don’t get notifications. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and lost my first account and I was a very high-level and still don’t get notifications. I also think that when you’re on the map yeah and you’re searching for a location that it does not automatically take you to a location that is occupied or at least gives you a couple options and takes you to a different location if that is the case. On that same note a lot of times when you’re on the map and you’re trying to find a location it takes you to an empty space on the map it’s like a glitch. I almost thought about spending a lot of money on the game and getting a survival pass and what not and all that fun stuff but after losing my first account there’s just no way I feel comfortable doing that as well as with all the glitches and what not. I don’t have the money to be paying for something and not receiving it. All in all the game has a lot of bugs like a lot of issues. However I really really do like the game that is why when I did lose all my progress the first time I downloaded it again then attempted to try again. It’s worth it. Ish. I’m giving the rating five stars only because I really really like the gameplay but as far as all the glitches, that Has to be fixed because eventually I’m going to be over it and not like the game.

Sat Apr 17 2021 BdjwohviainrnenPerhaps the most intriguing release for a TWD licensed video game— Survivors, is a strategy game that is fundamentally addicting and quite plainly: awesome. At some point in time, there was a game that established Strategy gaming for phones, and it went on to make over $4 Billion dollars consecutively. It was a smash hit, but it was also conjugated with monetization and paywalls; overtime, this game now ceases to have the same player base as its origins. For the first time in almost ten years, a new game has been released and it is apparent that the developers do not want to follow the same suite. It can be said that there are some strong pushes from the developers to spend multitudes of your money to progress, albeit it is very possible to play free and have no problem growing within the game itself, the payments just help you get there faster. Either way, this game is uniquely well made and is bloated with tons of mechanics that will keep you invested enough to continuously play. My only complaints with the majority of this game, are the massive frame rate drops and bugged parts of the game. It can all be patched surely, but it is still unacceptable for a game to be released in a semi-poor state. Regardless, I’d highly recommend anyone whom was a fan of Game of War or other strategy games, to download this game and try it yourself. If you love The Walking Dead then you’ll most surely love this game as well. Hope the review gives everyone some insight to what to expect.
Best top down zombie survival game
Sun Sep 11 2022 ZpcodeYes there is a formula. Yes they all look the same. I’ve played several. This one I actually feel invested in, though, because it’s a show I’m vaguely familiar with. It has the cleanest UI and the female characters aren’t scantily clad help me senpai uwu with the dudes being Buff Guys™️ saving damsels in distress. If I’m gonna stick with any, it’ll probably be this one. Maybe there will be cool mini games like some others. My suggestions to the developers are to play their competitors’ games and consider adding mini games similar to what they do, like actually taking a small group of survivors on a mission and doing almost like a mini tower defense but at a location you’re trying to explore for resources, instead of just sending a character away and poof resources. There should be an option to do it automatically like the way it is now, and then for some extra XP or something do it more involved. I like the formations and how matching certain characters makes the formation overall more powerful. I wish I could create my own character and edit looks as well as buffs, like a real RPG, instead of being this benevolent "boss" and thats who I am. Make me a character, make my decisions matter in terms of how we interact with other groups, etc. Thank you 🙏🏻

Fri Apr 30 2021 Bear1267Where do I start, the server’s are garbage the game keeps slowing down and gets very glitchy try to talk to team mates you type a word it takes a couple of seconds for the word to show up the only way I have found to fix this issue is to quite the app and reload the game this happens all day long, second I just downloaded the new update and now I can’t even log into the game I get an error message, I tried contacting the help support on there help page got no response. If this continues I will be deleting this game. Update: worked with their customer support all day yesterday no luck they want to blame my WiFi or my device, all my other apps and games work I have full bars on my WiFi and still it’s my device according to them, I tried today when I got up still won’t work, so my advice don’t waste your time, 1 more thing when you download the game and launch it a box pops up asking to allow the app to track you first time I’ve ever seen this so maybe they won’t let me play cause I say no to tracking me.. just a thought don’t waste your time. Last update: finally got the game to load what I had to do was completely delete everything for the app then reload it so I lost everything 2 weeks of work on my headquarters gone I then had to create 2 accounts just to get back to my old clan, due to all the issues I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME. Reason I created 2 accounts was just to let me old clan know I was done playing and due to all the issues and having to start all over.

Sun Dec 19 2021 Mitch kid2351This is a pay to play game. Not a bad game, but you need to buy in order to keep up. That’s not so bad, but when you buy, then dont get what you bought, but get an error message instead, that tells you to contact support, then wait for hours before getting a response, which in the meantime you use other resources, which you paid for in the long run anyway, and then get what you did pay for, because it was obviously paid for, then the rep asks if you think you should be compensated, and you thank them and tell them you’d appreciate that, and they come back and tell you, “nope, that’s a network issue, no compensation” That, after buying things for several days running. You would think they would want to keep paying customers happy, but apparently they make more then they need. I didn’t mind spending a little bit, but since I see their greed, probably spent my last in it. Plenty of other games P.S. After telling the rep that I would go do a review, I was filling out the review as to the performance of the customer service, and in the middle of filling it out, the game, for the first time ever, suddenly shuts down and the review can’t be brought back up.

Sat Feb 12 2022 Fixtheseissues58743Was booted out of a clan for no reason and can’t join another for 12 hours. This game is expensive and I’m a diligent player actively playing constantly. This game is trash and is not fun anymore. Do yourself a favor and skip this game. Don’t skip it because I’m mad but because I’m a honest reviewer. These almost 5 star reviews are fake. This game is superrrrr expensive and they make it so you have to pay to play and it’s a bit wild for the cost just to do simple things. Upgrading players and builders doesn’t help it just makes it harder and when you upgrade and think your getting stronger they add several hours or days in between to be able to play unless you “buy” things needed to speed up the time or certain goods and it’s usually both. Once you spent an absurd amount of money then you can upgrade or complete but then you gotta spend more to do it all over again. Ten dollars for resources that sometimes don’t even help just to increase somthing so minimal is crazy. 99$ gets you jack crap to or like if you want a player you gotta spend 20$ from the elite shop lol but it can only reach level thirty and then you gotta buy “fragments” and you need a ton of them to upgrade so in reality it’s like several hundred. It’s a greedy and sneaky way to profit and I can’t lie they are doing it and can’t be mad at the hustle but as a consumer that’s not good business. Won’t be lasting long either.

Which is fun or was until I noticed I was not getting everything listed in the detailed list of items offered for say $9.99. I thought I might be being shorted so I decided to pay extra close attention to all purchases & sure enough I made a purchase & was not given all the items it had listed for the $9.99. I took screen shots of the items it listed that came with the $9.99 purchase, as well as of my ruby count, then I emailed customer service. This was 3 days ago & I am still arguing with them to get what I paid for. And I am talking about a total of 2 purchases of $9.99. They keep sending me automated responses telling me that I am wrong. When I can read & have the screen shot of what was offered. I know I did not get what it said would be provided for the payment. If they are doing this across the board they are making a killing. And committing bc fraud & larceny. I can not get a phone number to contact them nor will they contact me. So if you play & make purchases PLEASE watch them very closely. It is easy to wrap up & not pay attention but that is what they are hoping for. I refuse to purchase anything now because they lack integrity. After I emailed the gift pack was changed to $4.99 & only paid half of the items which is what I received. They said this is correct. But I paid $9.99 for it & was supposed to get twice as many items, but only received half for $9.99 I would have never purchased the pack for that price had it said it only provided 1K rubies. So beware.

Wed Jun 08 2022 CoolcandoI’ve played for about 6 months and paid about $200 into the game. Read the negative reviews and don’t get sucked into this game. It has a lot going for it. It’s fun to meet people from around the world and create cooperative groups to move forward. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. It is absolutely pay to win. Realize there are some people out there who will waste tens of thousands of dollars on this game to bully everyone around. When a few of these people join together, the game is over for everyone else. One of these top spenders can take out an entire clan of a hundred people. After this, you either live under a shield with limited activity, or you sit on the season 1 map and farm vegetables, which is absolutely boring. In the last season they allowed several clans in a server to join into mega-clans. Inevitably, one of these servers will create a mega clan that is stronger than all of the servers on the map put together. At this point there is zero competition because no one else stands a chance. The game is essentially over unless you want to spend thousands of dollars. Simply put, this is a game for people with no skills and a lot of money to waste so they can bully others around. Don’t do it, there are lots of good games out there.
