Overall a wonderful game. Glitches really make you lose motivation

I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes prison escape games, i think its the best on the market. However, a couple glitches really ruin the experience. If a hole is under your desk and you are next to the desk, it will display that the hole is not covered and you can get sent to solitary for this. So all digging runs are basically impossible. Another is during santas sweatshop, after about 5-7 days of progress (real life days), i got sent into an infinite save reload cycle that i cant get out of. About 10 game minutes after i load the day in, a fence cut gets found and i get sent to solitary, or have to load a save. There is no way around this. I had to abandon the entire save and frustratingly move on to the next prison. Some of the glitches are awesome though, like the one where you can pickpocket guards without knocking them out and keep the keys forever. But rarely these glitches cause a massive strain on the player as they ruin hours of hard work. But an overall beautifully created game, i absolutely love the simplistic artstyle and unique mechanics.

Great, except that...

This game is the best escape game I’ve ever played in my life. So what’s the big problem you may ask? Well at roll-call even when I’m in line the cops will still be mad that I’m not in line even when I know I’m 100% in line( this might be at other times during the day not just roll-call ). Then sometimes my game will crash randomly and I loose all my progress. So pretty please with a cherry on top add a save that starts you exactly where you left off( you don’t have to just a suggestion ). This next one you might get a lot but I think I should still point it out just in case, so you know how mobile keys break after 4 uses and the others keys last at least 10 times, please make the mobile keys last as long as theirs. Okay this one doesn’t have anything to do with this review but can you add creative mode to the mobile version please. And can you also add escapists 2 to mobile please( just more suggestions remember you don’t have to, and if you do add escapists 2 to mobile you should have it cost money because that’s fair for you guys and gals. Okay that’s all thank you for your time🙂. Okay update, thank you for fixing those glitches and adding escapists 2 to mobile. In jingle cells there isn't any flashlights anywhere.

Amazing Game - Except for Some Bugs!

I love the Escapists and was debating whether to get it on PC or not, but then this came out and I knew I had to get it! For $4, I could see what the game was all about and have a better opinion on trying the DLC in the PC version (which I hope you add as in-app purchases later!). It was great, my brother and I both were playing it. Except, we were experiencing some launch bugs, which is to be expected. I encountered some text issues with the description of X item in the payphone. Also, sometimes the opening-desk sound kept looping for no apparent reason. My brother's game wouldn't let him escape other prisoners trying to beat him up while loading a save. He was just frozen in place while the black box around the screen faded away and the prisoners had time to come at him and kill him. He died every time he tried loading and was forced to stay in solitary without his items. But these bugs are minor, and I know you can fix them. Anyone that wants to get this game should definitely buy it, it is worth the money! Can't wait to see how it progresses in the future!

Great Game!

When I first bought this game I played it for 10 hours straight. It has role playing elements with strategy and character affinity with item crafting... its a really fun game. The only complaint I have is crafting is supposed to be trial and error. I think this can be extremely frustrating, because you may craft something you think you need. or spend a few virtual days trying to save up for certain items when it turns out they were the wrong items or you didn’t need them. They also make you pay (virtual in-game currency) for “tips” which basically are crafting recipes. Look up the crafting recipes online and keep it by your side while you play, is in my opinion the way to keep the game engaging and not frustrating. I’ve played quite a few mobile games, and this is a gem. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes games to be challenging and engaging while still being a lot of fun. I don’t recommend it to casuals, lol. you may get a little flustered if you’re just used to candy crush ;)

Glitches ruin progress

In the jungle prison during food periods I would be sitting at the table and the guards heat would keep sky rocketing as they kept saying that I needed to go to where I’m supposed to be (which I was where I was supposed to be). Then I’d get shot and loose all my items which were needed to escape. Also there was a time where I loaded back to a save so I could hide my things as I knew I was going to be called for roll call. When the game loaded back it had me at 100% heat and I got shot and lost all of my things. No matter how many times I reloaded the game it kept my heat at 100%. Once again all of the items on my person were very important to escape. I had previously had issues that I could ignore but the game glitching me to 100% at completely random and nonsensical things made me delete the app. I truly don’t remember having these problems when I first downloaded the app a few years ago. I’ll still play the second game on Xbox but to anyone thinking about downloading this remember that glitches especially with guards will completely ruin game progress. Ask yourself if that’s worth paying for this game. If you like this game like I do, DONT play on the phone use the console or PC.

Great game but one terrible bug/glitch

When I first got this game, I thought it was pretty fun but after a day or 2 I realized that when I was at a certain location for that time of day, the officers would yell at me and tell me to get to the place I’m supposed to be. I’ll say an example that happened to me in another prison on the first day in morning roll call, I was waiting for them to tell shake downs and then when cops walked by, they would to tell me to get going to roll call and give me 10 of the cop suspicion points thing(the ones that if you get over 90, the cops attack you). Well when I was waiting at roll call, more cops would walk by and bring my “cop suspicion points” up. And it got over 90 and they attacked me. Terrible bug/glitch that could ruin someone if they had contraband on them at the time. It seems like it would be easy to find, and it is. If the devs see this, please fix it. It’s ruining my playing experience and probably many others. That’s my only complaint, otherwise a great game.

Very fun and exciting

Ok so first off, I LOVED the difficulty scaling, for example the first prison has no metal detectors, vents, a cheap pay phone, and more, and the difficulty got higher and higher slowly, but quickly at the same time of that makes sense. Also, when preforming a (successful) escape attempt, I found my heart racing if it took a long time to get here! The special prisons are super fun and some of the normal ones had exclusive items that felt realistic and fun to try to get and use! Sometimes you have to build REALLY elaborate escape plans and sometimes you just use brute force! Also after you escape a prison you get treated to a little clip of you failing to escape and that explains why you then unlock a harder prison! And it feels soooo satisfying to see your character succeed in escaping from the last one! Overall this game is well worth the price, and it WILL test your wits. If there was a 1-10 rating scale it'd be a 10 so if you like strategy games, get this.

Love the game but few requests...

I love playing this game and it’s worth the money and everything but I have some things that I wish the game had. Honestly, I wish you could put girls in the game too because I am a girl and I really wish I could be a girl in the game. Girls also go to jail too, not just males. I also wish that you could customize how your character looks so you could be unique instead of the same thing other people might be. I also wish that we could make an ONLINE section to it where there are cops and prisoners that are other people playing. That would make it fun. I know that might be extreme, but it would make the game more fun for me AND everyone else. And if you don’t want to do it online, you didn’t have to. If you did do an online section, do a chat that beeps out swearing or other things like that. I really love the game, you probably won’t see my review, but if you can do this then you should!!
