Party in My Dorm: Campus Life (PiMD) is a unique blend of social network and college-themed RPG. It’s less about 'playing' in the traditional sense and more about social climbing, crew management, and chatting. You start as a freshman and must build up your stats to join the best crews, host the biggest house parties, and decorate the coolest dorm room.

The game thrives on its community. The global and crew chats are incredibly active, and the meta-game revolves around trading 'swag' and flirting or 'hitting' other players to gain influence. It’s a game of status. While it can be heavy on microtransactions for the best avatars and furniture, the social experience is unlike anything else on the store. If you enjoy roleplaying and social simulation with a mature, college-aged vibe, PiMD offers a massive world to dive into.

I’m complete and utterly in love with this game. It’s nothing like you would expect it to be. There are people all over the world who play the game. The game caters to people of all ethnic and racial backgrounds, and is lgbtq+ friendly. You will most likely meet great friends and it’s a perfect place to get your feet wet if you aren’t social in real life. The game allows you to be yourself and find people that you could be friends with too. I’ve met some of the best people in my life on this game and I never thought it would change my life. Something so simple, you would not think anything if it. But if you’re interested in these sorta games, this game is defiantly worth trying, they have different hunts that last 1-3 weeks that are based on different subjects. For instance, right now is Halloween. So a Halloween hunt is going on. You won items and Avis/ funi just by hitting the parties. Hard to explain in writing, better to experience it. A lot of people are complaining about how you have to purchase stuff to succeed in the game and I have to say that’s not entirely true. Like every game, buying will speed up and enhance the process of you becoming more successful but it is not necessary. You can win Avis/furni from timer/lite boxes (that are free and you get by hitting the party) and sell those as well. You don’t have to spend money to play the game. To grow fast, yes unfortunately. There are some flaws in the game, but overall, The game is fantastic. If you start playing, I would be glad to help out. My ign is wickedlovely 🖤

I’ve been playing this game since I was 13. I am now 19 and almost every time I open the app I question if I still love this game as much as I used to. Then I realized I only like this game when I have the money to put into it. Some apps are money grabbers and that all they are but that’s fine! PIMD is a huge money grabber and that is also fine. Make your money y’all. However I’ve just come to the realization that it’s no fun without being able to pour a little money into it. If you don’t you’ll have to work way longer and way harder to build your stats. I’ve been stuck on 20mcs for awhile now, trying to build up and that’s with putting a little money into it. This is a very strategic game that I’ve grown to love. However when you releases the update that started the buddy box system. Where if people in your club spend i think $20 or more on EC , in return everyone in their club gets a buddy box. It’s wonderful all around but it really put into perspective how much people actually spend on the game. Some of the bigger accounts easily spend thousands on the game. More power to the majority of the people on here spending their hard earned money to advance in a mobile game. I guess my point is this game is a play to be on top kind of game. They introduced the leaderboards which give great prizes to the “top so and so players” which in turn enables people to spend even more money to stay ahead. I remember once upon a time when this game was more about building, strategizing and having fun with your club. It’s still about those things but anymore people can just pay for a boost and not have to work for it...

I love this game don’t get me wrong. But there could be things that could fixed like the fact that we can only open wooden puzzle boxes but if we want to open a furniture box for that even we still have to spend money on the game. The prices are crazy I think. If I compared y’all prices to IMVU I would chose them over yalls I can spend 40 bucks on that game and get a lot more in credits than I could on yalls game. And y’all never do sales on them or anything. I feel like everything is over priced a bit and we have to constantly be spending money to play your game just to open up everything and not all of us are fortunate enough to keep spending money just to get stuff. I like the option of the free credit thing but we also have to go and spend money in those games just to get that amount of credits and there is hardly any new games added to it everyday so if you’ve already done the ones you were only able to do you have to keep to see if you can do anything else plus I’ve completed several of them and never got my credits in return no matter how many times I refreshed the game. This game is amazing I enjoy it but it has flaws and I’d like to talk to someone and see if we can somehow fix it to where everyone is getting something from playing the game instead of us being screwed while y’all continue to take our money. Oh and let me just add how you have to pay about what 20 bucks just to get into a relationship Bc it’s saying to ask this person out it’s gonna cost 70 something ec. What the heck is that all about.

REAL MONEY NEEDED TO PLAY

It would be cool IF you didn’t have to spend real money to advance in the main storyline quests. I got to the part where they want me to spend money on a furniture key and after I do that, I’d get the earring needed to finish another quest. It’s dumb. Plenty of people spend money customizing in this game, why need to have people spend money in the main quests? Not to mention all the ridiculous messages you get from annoying horny guys. Don’t fall for the allowance messages ladies. If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is. RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: 1. I recommend letting new players know that they will only get one free rs. After that you have to pay 79ECs which I find to be a bit absurd, considering I accidentally wasted my free rs on just some random that was banned from violating the terms of use. I don’t feel like it’s fair for it to be such a high fee. I think it should reset to free after a certain period of time (maybe a month or so), not only free during Valentine’s Day. That’s only a day/week out of the year, and guess what? I just started playing after Valentine’s Day and now I have to wait an entire year for that? That’s insane. It would take me until next Valentine’s day, maybe longer just to get the 79EC saved up from the spinner without paying money. 2. Compensate us for the ads that freeze at the end. We can’t exit to claim our energy/prize. I’ve watched over 10 ads now that have frozen at the end of the 30 seconds and didn’t let me exit and got zero compensation.

Harassment & Cyber Bullying

I’ve been playing this game since the end of April and still new to everything. But as I’ve been playing I’ve had a lot of harassment and cyber abuse in the game. You say one wrong thing or not sure what the other person means then they sfw and stalk you. I get it it’s apart of gameplay but some if not most people take the game way to seriously. I loved the game at first and spent actual money on the game, but now to me it’s not even worth it anymore and my muse has went way down from the cyber bulling and abuse I get. Even when you report someone it doesn’t do anything they still attack you and ruin the game for you. I have met some amazing people in the game. But it would also be nice to be able to delete your post off someone’s wall or when you block them they can no longer continue to harass and bully you. If my child was old enough to play I wouldn’t allow them to from what I’ve seen in public chats and how I was treated. If I reviewed the game right when I got it, it would’ve been five stars as I continue to play that star count is going to continue to go down and will no longer play. A lot of changes need to be made and it’s sad that a lot of people take advantage of others and get away with it.

Looks innocent but…creep central!!

I’m not one to leave reviews on the App Store but I feel like this one deserves fair warning. I originally downloaded this game because I was obsessed with the art style and the insane variety in room, decor, and avatars and personalization in general. While I have to give credit where it’s due, I also have to mention that this game is impossible to start up for beginners. To gain certain rewards, you have to be part of clubs, make friends, and trade items. Now this is where my experience with this game took a plunge. To my shock, almost every single person I have ever added in this game has either asked a sexual favor of me, or tried to get me to role-play with them or some other sick motive behind the conversation. All of these conversations have ended in a blocking of their account, which again, having friends is a way to get ahead in the game, so if you are not making friends, you are not advancing. In addition to that, the majority of the clubs all flaunt elaborate rules on their pages about role-playing and what topics are and aren’t allowed to be talked about (although it seems like 18+/nsfw is highly encouraged by users on the platform). This game is not what it seems and should not be advertised as being safe for younger audiences. I don’t believe it’s the game developer’s fault, but the game should have way sticker rules/moderators considering the type of talk that goes on in chats and clubs in order to gain any sort of collecting or leveling items that would help you actually enjoy the game.

Disappointing from a long time player

I’ve played this game for a few years now and over the years the game has completely made it more difficult for low stat players and players who barley spend money on the app to upgrade or enjoy the game. The people in charge in the game only spoils and pays attention to the big spenders and high stat players. And when other players voice their concerns in a group, the employees respond very unprofessionally and rude. Some people have gotten banned for saying their opinions that are not in the views of “praising” the app. This game has money hungry written all over it and wants players to shower the game with money, the only way of making it somewhere in the game is by spending loads of cash but oh don’t you worry, you’ll get spoiled and all the attention from people within ata in the game while low stat players and players who rarely spend money are pushed back into the shadows. They do not listen to us when we suggest or ask for something new or for something we may like. And many people currently are upset and quick to quitting the game (as you can see in the reviews), but it is much more chaotic in the game. There are “mods” in the game to keep the chats clean but they never do anything especially with situations in their face, they’re too busy acting like they’re celebrities and too important, and very biased with punishments cause of “friendship”. But I do think it’s time to look for a new game...

Major bullying and harassment problem

People in this game take advantage of the block button doing nothing. With higher ranked players it’s basically whatever they say goes and takes all of the fun outta the game Edit: Wouldn’t it make sense for the block button to prevent wall writing as well? I’ve been in groups where higher ranking players will go after the whole party/ club they’re a part of. I’ve reported players before and nothing was done. If I’m going to the extent of reporting someone then we should both be blocked from viewing each other. I understand “it’s all a part of the game” but it’s not fair when people are genuinely trying to just play and other players take it to the extreme, that’s what the block button should prevent. There’s whole forums dedicated to help people who are being targeted by “farmers” and people getting stalked/harassed within the game. It’s a real problem that people are voicing that could easily be fixed. It’s really disheartening considering the reviews I read before downloading mentioned bullying, I thought it was just a cost for being on the internet, but no. I thought if I just stayed to myself and enjoy the game I’d be fine. Nope. They’ll even gang up on you with their “friends”. Instead of gaslighting the people who are genuinely voicing this problem, how about fixing it.
