Meridian 157: Chapter 3 is the stunning conclusion to one of the best point-and-click adventure series on mobile. NovaSoft has really outdone themselves here; the puzzles are the most challenging and inventive of the entire trilogy. As Dr. Zander, you finally reach the heart of the mysterious facility, and the atmosphere is thick with tension. The graphics are immersive, using a cold, industrial aesthetic that perfectly captures the isolation of the island.
What I love about this series is its internal logic. While the puzzles are hard, they always make sense within the world—you never feel like you're just clicking random objects. The two-tier hint system is also a lifesaver, providing a subtle nudge before giving away the full solution. The addition of a custom ambient soundtrack and a color-blind mode shows the level of care put into the player experience. If you’re a fan of 'The Room' or classic 'Myst' style adventures, this final chapter is an absolute masterclass in mystery and world-building.

Examine every note you find. Often, codes for later puzzles are hidden in plain sight within the backstory of the island's previous inhabitants.
Interact with objects to gather them in your inventory. You can often combine items or use them on environmental machines to trigger the next stage of the story.
It is highly recommended to play the Prologue and Chapters 1 & 2 first to understand the full story.
All I can say is 🤯 WooOooOOOooW!! I’m not sure how I stumbled across the Meridian 157 series, but after finishing the Prologue, I was hooked and had to have the rest, and I have not been able to put it down for days and days and days now … I just had to know what would happen next! It has been a long time since a game like this (especially on the App Store) has come along, that has kept me so completely mesmerized that I’m willing to lose sleep over it, LOL. I played through the entire series on Hard Mode, just because I like a challenge, and the game definitely didn’t disappoint … it was challenging enough to keep me thinking and interested and glued to my screen for over a week. I absolutely recommend playing on Hard Mode if you are an avid/consistent gamer like me, and/or good at solving puzzles and riddles, and you enjoy immersing yourself in a game for a while before being able to solve it. I imagine the game moves along at a faster pace in Normal Mode, so if you want to get to the end sooner rather than later, then Normal Mode might be your thing. But I cannot say enough good things about the Meridian 157 series … I would give it at least 3 billion stars if I could! The graphics are amazing. The soundtrack is creepy and thrilling and goosebump-inducing. The storyline is immersive and engaging. The puzzles and riddles are brilliant. And the little “surprises” every once in a while were enough to make my heart skip a few beats. It’s all just SOOOO great!! A big thank you to NovaSoft for creating such an awesome game … can’t wait to see what’s next!
Like other iPad and iPhone users have commented, a bug makes one puzzle in Chapter Three unplayable without hints. I've really enjoyed the series, but the stacked boxes puzzle was pretty frustrating until I learned that my struggle was due to a bug. I take my puzzling pretty seriously. I don't use hints, even if it takes me weeks to figure out a puzzle. Then I found out that I've been banging my head against a lousy coding bug...!? I tried that puzzle on an older iPad and a new iPhone. The bug appears to affect all iOS devices. Oh well... I'm glad to be moving ahead again. It would be nice if the developers fixed that one bug so the puzzle can be solved by all, or make it clear in the system requirements that a particular puzzle will need hints to solve if using an iOS device. Other than the one puzzle problem it's a great game and an excellent conclusion to a fantastic series.
I have played all the Meridian 157 games and have absolutely loved it! The complex puzzles had me taking out pens and paper to figure out, it was sooo much fun! I have told all my friends about it and they love the games as well! The intriguing story line, fun puzzles, and cool graphics make the game an amazing one! The end of Meridian 157: Chapter 3 leaves me with many questions but only one big one, “When will the next game come out?!!?!” I know that it says The End but will there possibly be a follow up? New character(s) coming to the island after seeing that big anomaly we caused in chapter 3?? Or will we possibly go back in time to when F.L.A.R.E started and see a whole new perspective? Or will we come back as one of the ghost people seeing if our work is or is not complete?? So many questions and I can only hope that they will be answered. I love all of your games and do hope you’ll continue on!!
The whole series was enjoyable but this chapter was especially satisfying. I played with no hints, which I highly recommend. A few of the puzzles were particularly gratifying. Difficult enough that I found myself completely invested, flipping back and forth between studying the puzzle and studying my photos, my brain pushing to come at it from every angle, the eerie music complimenting the experience. And when it finally clicked, it was a serious dopamine rush. The solution making perfect sense. Many similar games seem to miss this mark, puzzles being either far too easy or difficult but only because they make no sense… even after you solve them. These creators found that balance. I can’t know for sure, but the creativity leads me to believe a LOT of time and hard work was put in and I want to thank all involved.
I play every escape game I can find, and I have long touted that no game truly stands at the same caliber as The Room and its sequels. Well, this did it. The puzzles were often intensely difficult (though I felt less so by the end), but the hint system that doesn’t require watching ads and doesn’t just skip you past a puzzle (although it can if you approve it) is well thought out and well programmed, with good relevant hints when you need them. The story was intriguing from the start, but continued to grow in complexity and scope, keeping you reading journal entries and emails that were fantastically paced to give you tidbits more to keep stringing you along. The pay off in breaking through the harder, longer puzzles was satisfying, with enough little puzzles to keep you feeling like you were making progress the whole time. The cut scenes! Oh man, the CUT SCENES. I started tilting my phone away from me during them, afraid of a jump scare, left extra uneasy by the expert use of perspective and music. From the beginning they were outstanding, but that final cut scene is one I’ll be thinking about for years to come. I don’t regret a single cent I paid for all 4 of the Meridian 157 games. They were spectacular!
I really loved all three chapters of the game. I started with the free prologue not knowing anything about the game, and no intention of paying anything for it. But I really enjoyed the gameplay, puzzles and overall immersive experience. It got me hooked. I gladly paid for Chapter One and it was even better than the prologue. Each chapter is better than the next...and they get longer with each one. The end is stunning. I really enjoy adventure puzzle games like this, and have played a lot of them... Meridian definitely ranks among the best of them. The puzzles were challenging but most solvable without any hints... but in the few cases I got stuck, I really appreciated that the developer built in a very thoughtful hint system to get you unstuck without giving away the entire secret of the puzzle. Well done,
Seriously great, enjoyable game. Puzzles made me think, and I sometimes needed clues, after which I kicked myself because I was close. Rarely (if ever) did I say, “That’s just ridiculous; how could I have figured that out?” as with some other games I’ve played. One of my very favorite things - in fact, something that I actually looked forward to each time I played - was the music. Extremely impressed by the atmospheric, immersive experience created by the ambient soundtrack. As a musician, I am biased in this direction, but it is really well done throughout the chapters. The Stys brothers have really done something special here. I hope they keep at it and create some more games. Very well done. Bravo!
I played all 4 chapters of Meridian 157 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Games were not time sensitive so you didn’t feel pressured to solve them quickly. Tons of different locales. There was a fair amount of backtracking to collect items required to solve the puzzles, but generally you didn’t have to go too far back to get what you needed. I liked the complexity level, not too difficult that it required a lot of hints, but not simplistic either. Hints were free and helpful without giving away too much information. It was definitely worth the small cost to play all 4 games without in-game charges. I will look for more games by this group. Thanks!
