Small bugfixes and database optimization, ad consent screens updated.
Medieval Defense Conquest hits that sweet spot between casual tower defense and light empire management. The art style has a nostalgic, almost 'Age of Empires' vibe, which immediately caught my attention. You aren't just defending a single path; you're expanding your territory and managing resources to ensure your castle survives the next wave of invaders.
The strategic depth comes from the unit variety. Knowing when to deploy archers versus heavy infantry is key, and the hero units add a nice 'MOBA-lite' feel to the battles. It can get quite hectic when the screen fills with enemy knights and catapults, but the controls remain responsive. It’s a solid choice for anyone who wants a strategy game that requires a bit more thought than a standard idle clicker but doesn't require the time commitment of a full PC RTS.

Challenging wave-based combat
Place your barracks near the front lines to stall enemies, giving your archer towers more time to whittle down their health. Don't forget to upgrade your gold mine early to afford late-game units.
Tap on build plots to select your defense structures. During active combat, you can trigger hero abilities to turn the tide of battle. Manage your population cap to balance between workers and warriors.
Yes, the conquest mode takes you across various terrains including forests, deserts, and snowy mountains.
I’ve had this game for over a month now. It’s definitely a solid game for playing against waves of enemies with your own upgradable armies. Though it can be as simple or complicated as you wish it to be. In reality there’s not too much needed to progress through the storyline. Which makes it appealing to younger audiences who may desire this style of game (or adults trying to encourage this genre onto the children in their lives). But it still allows for certain styles or flair to combat and general gameplay. Pros and cons: it’s a solid game with decent graphics and scratches that medieval combat itch when I’m away from my cpu. It is engaging with different ways to earn gold and a generous way to earn diamonds (in game purchasable currency) that’s directly tied to game progress. And one part that sets this company apart from others is their choice of ad placement. All of the ads are optional except when defending the waves of attackers for gold. Every three to five waves has an advertisement. The rest of them are optional with worthwhile rewards for watching them. The cons are that it can be overly simple with gameplay after the first island (maybe allow access to different troop types that we see from the enemy side? Or use archer and ballista mechanics for the enemy side to increase difficulty? Would love to see more freedom of creativity from the devs) the graphics and troop movement could be better polished and updated (not a big deal personally. But when enemy troops walk over their wall when defending an attack it’s not the best for imersion) other than that I’m looking forward to continuing to play this game. Thank you devs for the hard work you’ve put in already and I hope that y’all get the opportunity to update the game and expand upon it
Don’t often do I rate software on the App Store but had to in this instance. The game is created by a single individual who truly values their craft. Music? Check. Gameplay? Check. Artwork? Check. Secrets and mysteries to uncover? You already know. Just bought the starter pack and can’t wait to play more. Just keep up the fantastic work Dev! Edit: I’m changing my review to 3 stars due to the fact the screen is not optimized for newer iPhone models. For instance, the upper left hand corner where the coin icon is located is cut off. Also, I can only see my inventory for stone, both of the other resources are cut out because that is where the speaker is located on the iPhone 12. Please fix this to make the gameplay screen fit correctly. Right now it just seems clunky. Once this is fixed, back to 5 stars. Edit: the format is no biggie. This game is great!!!
This game as a concept is wonderful. I enjoy the combination of ideas and elements that meld very harmoniously into this game. There are some issues I’ve been finding as I’ve progressed though. The biggest problem for me is that if I forget to actually swipe the app out of my background and instead just go to the homepage, the bank no longer collects me any money. I’m at a point where I need the banks idle money to even progress, which would be fine if it functioned properly. The second issue I’m having is the function of the castle. I’m just building gray block after gray block and nothing else seems to happen. Wish it actually turned into something or brought a different aspect to my kingdom/shops. The final thing I wish would be adjusted is the repetitiveness of waves and saving up to overtake the next village. Maybe a sort of function where we attack a pre determined defense where strategy of classes is involved instead of just barging forward with the strongest troop I have. I really hope to see this game progress though, the potential is totally here.
I’ve been playing this game for a month or so now and even paid to remove ads. However, while this game claims to be “unique” and the description sounds spectacular, it is not. There are not 70+ units, there are ranged and melee units. The skills you can upgrade for these units include health, attack, and attack again. You upgrade your units using gold, which can be obtained by clicking a thing and waiting. You can capture enemy outposts to increase offline gains. Alternatively, you can play the wave defense mode. This mode gets boring fast, which is why there is an auto-battle feature. My melee units are far superior to my rangers, but auto-battle doesn’t care and sends my weak archers to die, leaving me defenseless. That’s pretty much all there is to the game. You can buy gems for a ridiculous exchange rate, despite the fact that there is a constant “60% off” sale running that you are consistently reminded of. I thought I paid to remove ads 🤷♂️ Gems can also be used to increase your offline gains for a meager amount. If you like idle games, you might enjoy this one for the first few days. By then you’ve experienced all there is to offer and you can move on.
I wanted to like this game more, and it’s not awful, but it feels lacking in almost every department. I just reached the castle building area, but I don’t even want to interact with it because it costs gems, which are extremely hard to get, for a reward that I don’t know if it’s worth it. The combat is very bare, and come down to bigger number = win. The variety in what you can upgrade is pretty lackluster. The raid mechanic isn’t the greatest, since you have to guess end enemy’s strength. Both the ads and the “ads” are annoying, and buying stuff (except for maybe the ad blocker, which doesn’t even remove the built in ads) does not give a good return on investment. Once again the game’s not great, and I understand the struggles of solo dev (I’m one myself) but this game is just lacking on all fronts. Normally a game like this nails a specific feature, which allows it to slack on the others, but the game just doesn’t have anything going for it. It’s something a few updates can easily fix (assuming the game still gets updated) but as of right now I wouldn’t recommend.
I posted a review about how there’s too many ads. One after every other wave, and one after each and every town you capture. The worst thing is when you get an ad that doesn’t have a count down. One time I was stuck on the last ad screen without an option to close it. Very rarely you get lucky with an ad you can skip after a couple seconds. That review I posted isn’t here anymore so that’s strange… I’m guessing they got to preserve their 4.8 rating, but deleting reviews shouldn’t be possible. Anyway this game is fun even with the ads it slows you down so you don’t finish it in 2 days as long as you have patience. But my main gripe for the 1 star is… BANK DOESNT ALWAYS GIVE YOU MONEY. The bank is supposed to give you so much money per hour, and a maximum amount after that, and half the time it doesn’t give you anything. It’s annoying spending all your money to capture as many towns as you can to be able to progress, but not get any money in return when you want to play again later in the day. It rarely gives you money.
I’ve played this game for 2 weeks and conquered 2 island and on the way to the 3rd. Im not really sure if there is anything after this or if it’s just the same. After I conquered the 1 Island I thought I would see different units such as mages and goblins that I could use myself. It seems I reached the maximum the game could offer for now. Extreme potential. Hopefully they will add more stuff later. To everyone who is wondering, the diamonds are supposed to be used to build you castle. Prioritize doing that to speed you yours troops spam and the game will be easy. After you conquer an Island we receive diamonds. It’s worth it. I will be back after a couple months and hopefully there will be more stuff. For now - uninstalling In game profile - Ghost
From first glance it looks like the average strategy tower defense. The enemy progressions are fun to watch. the sprite work is Amazing. Though from playing for a few days. The cracks begin to give. The game wants me to put money into it so badly. it’s too apparent. There’s a constant message that suggests if the players to pay. The gems in the game are laughable not rewarded often. and if you pay to remove ads you can essentially double your profits. Deters me from wanting to genuinely grind. especially since there’s no real strategy when it comes to battle. Spamming the soldiers buttons honestly really isn’t fun. Which i feel as if the developers are aware of, because i’ve actually found myself having more fun using auto-battle and strategically detonating bombs…2 features that either require ads or payment.
