Added a feature to convert points into pink seeds (available from the upgrade menu)
Updated the game so it enters the pause screen when it goes into the background during battle
Mochi-O is a breath of fresh air in the mobile puzzle market. While many games rely on high-stress timers or aggressive monetization, this title focuses entirely on the tactile joy of its physics. The way the mochi deforms when hitting a wall or squeezing through a pipe is incredibly well-animated and feels 'correct' to the touch.
The level design is clever, gradually introducing new mechanics like sticky floors or fans without overwhelming the player. It’s the perfect 'waiting in line' game—easy to pick up for two minutes, but deep enough to keep you engaged for much longer. The aesthetic is wonderfully minimalist, proving that you don't need complex 3D graphics to create a highly polished experience.
If I had one complaint, it’s that I wish there were even more levels at launch, as I breezed through the first few worlds in one sitting. However, the quality of what is here is undeniable. It’s cozy, clever, and undeniably cute.
Satisfying soft-body physics engine
Dozens of hand-crafted levels
Adorable character designs
Minimalist and clean visual style
Relaxing lo-fi soundtrack
To move your Mochi, tap and drag in the opposite direction you want to launch. Remember that the softer parts of the Mochi can squeeze through tight gaps, but the core needs enough space to pass through.
The gameplay revolves around momentum and elasticity. You can stick to certain surfaces or bounce off others. Use the environment's geometry to slingshot yourself across large gaps.
Absolutely! The controls are intuitive and the theme is completely family-friendly.
This game is very special to me and I think it will be for you too. This is someone's artistic vision brought to fruition in the form of a fantastic roguelite game. I don't care for 99% of stories in games, but my favorite stories and the ones integrated into gameplay. I couldn't help but be curious about this mysterious little unstable cyborg hamster. I was shocked to notice I didn't want to skip any of the skippable dialogues. The charm is immaculate. For those interested, this game is a delight to control on mobile. Although you can't modify the controls, it is so well streamlined and intuitive, there isn't any real need to. It is well optimized for performance and battery life. Lastly, the completely optional $3.99 (US) Ad-Free version: absolutely recommended. Of course you support indie dev innovation like this, but more importantly you gain unlimited access to all of the ad *BONUSES* as well as no forced ads. That means bonus seeds when feeding Mochi-o, 2x rewards after every completion, Loot Bot in each run, rolls for HamstArts (wall decoration), and more. Genuinely a top 15 mobile game of all time
Check out the devs other games too, a lot of the themes, enemies, snd story have all come together from their previous releases. Was randomly on my recommended page and has been the most addictive game I’ve ever played. Also is great bc while there are anime people, it’s not overly suggestive and is safe for kids, highly recommend!
Really addicting but I do wish there wasn’t some sort of cap to the amount of different weapons you can have For example all I had left for the upgraded version of a weapon was like the other thing to upgrade it But during upgrade selection I ended up eventually only being able to upgrade current unlocked things instead of unlocking new ones So it was impossible to upgrade the weapon because I could never unlock what was needed mid battle and got stuck upgrading other things Also wish that you picked up the power up seeds just like the other ones but they would have their own lil menu on the side during gameplay to use them because otherwise if you’re going for phantom devourer (meaning you need to upgrade suction), you end up picking up all the power up’s at once meaning you waste like all of them
This was one of the best games I have ever played and the story was amazing. I am sad that the game ended. another good thing about this game is that there are no ads that you can’t choose. I’m hoping for part two but if you don’t, I’m fine with that.
4 stars because there are 3 unobtainable weapons unless you “buy ad free”. General gameplay is fun, there are 15 levels in total. You can decorate a room for no benefit other than enjoyment. I wish there was more content because you run out of stuff to do after a few hours, so not a long term game. But surprisingly fun, refreshing gameplay.
This game was recommended to me and it says it has ads but it’s so niche there weren’t any for me. It’s got a really fun plot that’s pretty beautiful until you finish the game, when there’s not really much else to do after that but it’s still really good
It has very addictive gameplay and the loop is satisfying. Those moments when you are fighting the boss and it’s right at your door is thrilling. The dialogue between the director and our character is also hilarious and that’s my main praise.
I love that this game gets right into the action. No long intro, no complicated controls and menus. And the ads are exceptionally tolerable. There were no intrusive ads that break gameplay flow. Just ads during menu selection.
