Managing your inventory just got a lot less chaotic. You can now sort and search your way to exactly what you need, and character details got a visual glow-up while we were at it. We also snuck your account email into settings.
Beyond that, this update is heavy on bug fixes — more biomes can spawn, locked recipes have been unlocked, and that missing quest icon has finally found its way home.
AERTHLINGS is a breath of fresh air in the mobile RPG space. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's its greatest strength. The premise—a planet broken into 'chonks' by chaos gremlins—is genuinely funny and sets a lighthearted tone that persists throughout the experience.
The gameplay loop of exploring Earth to find pieces of Ærth is surprisingly compelling. I found myself really invested in the mutation trees; seeing your cute little underdog hero turn into a powerful cosmic defender is very rewarding. The combat is tactical enough to keep you thinking without being overly punishing.
The optional integration with NFC figurines is a cool throwback to the 'toys-to-life' era, but I'm glad the developers made sure the digital-only experience doesn't feel gimped. It's colorful, clever, and offers a lot of content for an adventure game. Definitely worth checking out if you want an RPG with a sense of humor.
Unique 'Mutation' system for character progression
NFC figurine support for physical-to-digital play
Ridiculous and charming storyline
Open-world exploration and gear crafting
Strategic combat against various Moonling factions
Travel across different regions to find 'Chonks' of your home planet. Use your gathered materials to repair them and unlock new Aerthlings from their sleep.
Each Aerthling has a mutation tree. Spend points earned from battles to unlock elemental attacks or defensive buffs. Use these strategically to counter specific Moonling types.
Yes, while the figurines offer bonuses, the entire game can be enjoyed digitally.
I just started playing Aerthlings and I’m honestly impressed. The art style is clean, the world feels fun to explore, and the progression system with expanding your island and collecting creatures is really satisfying. It already gives that creative adventure vibe that a lot of games try to hit but don’t. What stands out is that there are no ads or annoying pop-ups, and the game actually feels fair. Combat is interesting I see a potential for more there as-well, and the resource system tied to your creatures is a really smart idea. I also like the direction with trading and the visitor system ( co op when ) it feels like there’s a lot of potential for multiplayer and a player driven economy in the future, which could make this game really stand out. A few things I’d love to see added or improved: More depth in trading ( rarity value, meaningful exchanges, maybe a marketplace). Co-op or multiplayer features using the visitor system. Continued expansion of creatures, areas, and abilities so progression stays fresh. Keeping the game fair and not lean into pay to win systems. Specially with the scan/shop features. Overall, this feels like a hidden gem with a lot of potential. I’m excited to see where the developers take it and will definitely keep playing.
Producers I love to be like different modes like worlds. One mode would be apocalyptic mode. The other one would be the normal mode that you have for the game right now. but in apocalyptic one you’d have to build like a bunker and the moon creatures will try and break that fortress to get to you. You have to gather resources without without running into all of them and there will be five times as more earthlings than normal honestly for competitive players, I would think that would be really fun. Also the moon creature thing my voice to text didn’t work on that.
Tremendously fun game with something for almost everyone. You can farm. You can fight. You can terraform. You can level up. You can optimize. You can customize. You can collect physical figs and you can trade in real life, making friends and expanding your lineage at the same time. The physical figs are better in person than in photos. Super fun collectibles who, despite their same cube shape, are all unique and different to play with in game. I can envision kids strapping lanyards to their backpacks to rep their favorite Aerthlings. I can’t say enough good things about this game.
I love this game! I’ve only played it for half an hour and I’m hooked! :D It has a great pace and I love the little figurines that you can get and have in the game! It’s so coooollll😍😍 It has amazing aspects and I love the ability to build. I even made a little chill area next to a river. My only critique is that I wish there a was a little tutorial phase when you first spawn but overall I love it so much and is the best game I’ve played in a hot minute! I LOVE ITTTT
Very fun concept, aesthetics, and potential, but after a few hours, advancement will be starkly limited but scarcity of non renewable resources, and others that simply don’t appear. Right now I have several chonks I can’t heal because I need ice and bananas, and neither are available in any of the chonks I’ve opened. It’s also disappointing that there is no way to gain new Aerthlings without buying them, and absolutely no way to earn the necessary currency in game, no matter how much time I invest. I wouldn’t mind grinding to slowly earn over weeks or months, but there is no motivation to continue playing, only rewards for paying.
I am only giving this a five star review to get your attention people, how many times I try I can’t do this game at the start when it says something something Tap to hatch it glitches and gets out of the game and I promise it isn’t my I pad I hear that it’s a really good game and I want to play it but I can’t! Somebody pls help ME!!!!😢
Genuinely the first real game I’ve downloaded on the App Store in ages, I’m a sucker for collector games and I feel like this really fills that void. It’s got so much life and love and I hope to see this game outside of pax! Gonna let people scan and trade with me when I get back home and try and spread this game as much as possible!
Enjoying the game, we saw it at PAX East and it looked very promising! After playing it for a while I’m really enjoying it! I do wish you could scan in more than one of the 4 seedlings. I look forward to purchasing a few more.
