- Fixed some bugs
Life Gallery is an unsettling, beautiful, and deeply memorable puzzle game that feels like playing through a dark fever dream. Instead of traditional levels, the game is told through a series of illustrations that you must interact with. The art style is striking—a detailed pen-and-ink look that is both elegant and grotesque. It tells the story of a fractured family and a mysterious fish-head cult, slowly unraveling a disturbing narrative through silent imagery.
The puzzles themselves are clever and highly creative. They often involve manipulating objects within a painting to reveal a hidden truth or to progress to the next 'room' of the gallery. Some of the most memorable moments involve nightmarish reinterpretations of classical art, like the Mona Lisa. It’s not a jump-scare horror game; rather, it builds a pervasive sense of dread and curiosity. For fans of Rusty Lake or atmospheric indie titles, Life Gallery is an absolute must-play.
Unique pen-and-ink drawing style
50+ interactive illustrations
Surreal reinterpretations of classical art
Deeply atmospheric and dark narrative
Pay close attention to small details in the artwork. Often, the solution requires rotating or dragging an item that seems like a background decoration.
The story is told non-verbally. Observe the changes in the illustrations across levels to piece together the history of the characters and the cult.
No, the game is rated 13+ and contains dark, disturbing imagery and horror themes.
I think the puzzles were clever, some even new. I see similarities between this and Rusty Lake series. However there was a consistent ick factor here instead of just occasionally like Rusty Lake. If you liked that part, you’ll love this. I’m sure I’m the only one who had this issue, the icon itself is a bit jarring. I deleted the game when I had some young visitors. Let their parents deal with those questions. ;) I’m okay with ick but can you keep from the menu for others to see?
What an odd game. I like odd games and the artwork and puzzles kind of reminded me of Rusty Lake. But this was no Rusty Lake game. This was a weird story, rather sad, but captivating for some strange reason. The puzzles ranged from extremely easy to almost impossible, with no instruction on how to “solve” the puzzles. I almost gave up on the “fish in the blender” one because I couldn’t figure out the order. But I kept at it for about half an hour and finally got it. I just finished the game and for the first time ever, I’m kind of glad I finished. I was hoping the story didn’t continue... weird I know. But definitely worth playing and giving it a try. It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. But I liked it. For being the first game from these developers, NICE JOB 👍🏼!
I loved the story that went along with the game but it was really easy, I completed it within only a couple of hours. It was quite fun I just wish it could last longer.
However, execution is another issue. Puzzles were as expected, easy...gradually migrating to more difficult. But that soon went to virtually impossible. Stylistically the artwork is bizarre, but I like developers willing to break comfort zones, and stand out. I just wish there were at least an attempt at guidance, or even a minuscule hint. Oh well... Maybe I’ll try it again down the road. Deleted for now. UPDATE: I decided to give this another try. I got further along, but ran into an almost impossible puzzle. Minus one star (now 2) for ridiculously hard game play. Frustration should not be a part of having fun. Deleted forever. Bye.
This is probably the weirdest game I’ve ever played...and I loved every minute of it! Very morbid and grotesque lol. It’s basically a series of puzzles that you have to figure out how to solve. Just the right amount of difficulty - makes you think, but not frustratingly hard. I hope this game gets the publicity it deserves on the App Store - I highly recommend trying it!!!
Amazing gameplay, betufil art, fun concept and story. The only thing I would have has a complaint is being able to change the games volume since I listen to music when I play. 10/10
This game is reminiscent of the Rusty Lake Roots game which is an all time favorite! More please!
Coolz I recommend so far only 26 peeps have played
