Legend of Keepers

Legend of Keepers is a brilliant 'reverse dungeon crawler' that finally lets you be the one making the heroes miserable. Instead of playing as the knight in shining armor, you’re a corporate manager for the Dungeons Company. This blend of rogue-lite combat and management sim is incredibly refreshing. You have to handle everything from setting traps and hiring monsters to managing your budget and dealing with 'employees' who go on strike or take sick leave. It’s dark, funny, and deeply strategic.

The mobile port is exceptionally well-done. Playdigious has revamped the interface to make it feel native to touchscreens, and it even supports controllers if you want a more console-like experience. The pixel art and animations are gorgeous—there's a twisted satisfaction in watching a party of smug heroes fall into a perfectly placed trap. While it can get a bit repetitive after dozens of hours, the different Dungeon Masters and various campaigns provide plenty of variety. It's easily one of the best strategy games on the App Store right now.
