Join Pierre on his detective adventure through Opera City where he must find Mr. X!
Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective is a rare gem that feels like a living storybook. Based on the IC4DESIGN illustrations, every single screen is a chaotic, vibrant, and incredibly detailed masterpiece. This isn't just a 'find the exit' maze game; it's an exploration of a living world. Every time you click on a random NPC or object, there's a high chance of a unique animation or a witty line of dialogue.
The game strikes a perfect balance between being accessible for children and deeply engaging for adults who enjoy 'Where's Waldo' style art. Finding Mr. X is the goal, but the real joy is in the 100+ hidden objects and the 500+ possible interactions. The soundtrack is whimsical, the puzzles are clever without being frustrating, and the sense of discovery is constant. It's one of the most visually impressive and charming puzzle games on the App Store.

Engaging Narrative Storyline
Don't just rush to the exit. Explore the 'wrong' paths to find hidden trophies and unique characters that unlock special mini-games.
Interact with everything. Tapping on a bucket or an NPC often triggers a funny animation or provides a clue for a hidden object.
Yes, it is based on the Pierre the Maze Detective book series by IC4DESIGN.
Great game. If you liked Hidden Folks, you’ll like this game too. There’s so much to interact with, collect, and look at. It’s an easy game, but in no way is it boring. The game moves you along at a really nice speed. I would recommend playing on Switch if you have the money for it. The game is more expensive on the Nitendo eShop, but the bigger screen will enhance your gaming experience for this game. I bought this on my iPhone (12 pro max) and even with the big screen there were times I wished I could zoom in for a better look. Overall, awesome game with beautiful sound effects and music
This game has absolutely adorable graphics! The gameplay is great but people must be playing this on different devices, because the mechanics are kinda bad on an iPad Pro, that’s for sure! That little Pierre just really won’t go where you want him to go; I tried with my finger and with my Apple pencil but it’s just really frustrating! I also cannot for the life of me figure out how to go back to previous levels to find items I know I missed! I go to the menu and then levels but are unable to change the level from the beginning. This just makes the game not a whole lot of fun, and frankly I’m kind of surprised by all the great reviews when it doesn’t work any better than this. Great game but developers need to make it actually work better than this!
I’m only half way through the game, but so far I’ve enjoyed it more than I expected. The artwork and detailing is awesome, it reminds me very much of the maze and search and find books I loved as a kid. The hidden items, stars, and interactions make it more than just going from point A to B. The one downside to the game is controlling the detective can be finicky at times, especially in levels with a lot of ladders. Otherwise, it’s a fun way to spend a couple of hours.
This is a beautiful and charming apps with a wealth of details and content. If you like searching for hidden objects, this really hits the spot and for me better then any hidden object game I have ever played. The story is delightful and can be enjoyed by kids at heart of any age. The art is outstanding and the sounds and voice acting are all top notch. It controls well and my iPad and I am guessing it is best experienced on a larger screen. Simply a dazzling labor of love by the team that produced this!
This charming little game deserves more support and recognition. While clearly sourced from a children’s book, the bright and lively drawings make for a pleasant and simple source of relaxing “seek and find” puzzling for any age. The drawings are nice, the music is lively, and the narrator’s voice is perfect. Many more people need to be playing this.
Played this game and it was incredible and very challenging! The game designers did an excellent job developing this game and I was so impressed on how large the “maze” is along with many people and buildings and icons. I also liked seeking for hidden chests, puzzles, and stars, making it very challenging. I hope to see more sequels of it! Great game!!!
This game is a beautiful work of art. Absolutely adore each and every detail in this. I’m currently on the third maze and love how serene it is. Really reminded me of the Where’s Waldo art style which i love. Hope to see more levels in the future and possible spin off games. 10/10 Highly recommended!
The scenes and interactions are adorable but as another reviewer mentioned, the controls take a bit of getting used to. I’d also LOVE to be able to rotate the screen 180 degrees because it would allow me to use my iPad cover to prop up the device. As is, I have to hold my iPad with the cover flopping into my lap to play the game.
