That there isn’t MORE of you. I have played nearly all of your games, and I see many people complaining about a “lack of direction”. It is precisely that quality that make your games my absolute favorite to play- all this required is a bit of patience and ingenuity to figure out, and boy is the effort rewarded. The artwork (as always) is obviously stunning, and while it does wax a bit violent it’s certainly no worse than the stuff I watch my 12 year old laugh at all day. Then again, my child might be a tad warped 😂. If I’m being honest the gameplay was really perfect in that while it was in no way dumbed down, I was able to get through it without ever referencing a walk-through, unlike Samarost which while I LOVED it, had me pulling hair out of my head. Please consider adding additional levels to this game? Just a humble request from a massive fan. Well done!
Happy Game is quite and experience. It has some blood and gore, so be careful. What’s really crazy is the story. I’m not gonna spoil it, but it’s very deep and sad. The game makes even more sense and is even better when you know the story. Some of the flashbacks feel so oddly specific to childhood trauma. Amanita did a brilliant job at making that feeling of nostalgia, sadness, and fear. The whole game hit me really hard, and it’s amazing. Great job! 💙
Simply nowhere near as good as other Amanita games. So disappointed I quit partway through. Their other games have a coherence and a story to them. You can explore sequences of screens and need to go back and forth between them to solve puzzles. This game lacks those cohesive elements. There is very limited intelligence to solving a screen, mostly just guessing what to pull, tap or push. The graphics are somewhat compelling, but they seem more of a visual art project than the rich and whimsical environments that the art in other Amanita games provide. Love Amanita, so was very excited and bought this right away, but so disappointed.
I thought the game would be an outside-of-the-box puzzle game like most of the others they have made. Although, the art was cool, but the game itself lacked depth in my personal opinion. The story is cliche, the mechanics are overused and lazy, and the game itself seems to be heavily leaning on the art to carry your interest throughout. All the “puzzles” can be solved in less than a minute with just a tiny bit of intuition. I found myself daydreaming about other things as I kept a finger on the screen to keep the main character moving forward. 3 stars simply because of the art and my overall love for Amanita Design. I hope in the future Amanita Design goes back to point-and-click puzzles like Machinarium or at least something that will have you scratching your head to find the solutions. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
Very good. I’m an eight year old child l think I was about seven years old when I played this game and I will tell you some of the names I used for the characters in the video game. Wildebeest. Those horned guys. That’s all I can say right now because my dad is calling me
If the creator sees this, please fix this!!! Or explain it to me, I was on the seventh level and I don’t understand this one you spawn into a flower field with flowers and carrots and you get up out of your bed and walk this feels like a circle or a loop because this one feels unsolvable I even tried, ChatGPT and it still failed when you ring the bell a huge rabbit comes out and this part feels unfair because the rabbit is faster and bigger than you so you’re not able to outrun it and you always die in the end so please fix or explain this!!!!!
I’ve played many of Amanita’s games with great enjoyment. This one I quit after 5 minutes. Not because of the violence—I didn’t really even get to that— because it unclear what you’re supposed to do. The instructions flash for like 3 seconds then you’re left wondering. I also felt the controls on iPad were clumsy. Moving the main character feels slow and tedious. A real disappointment after Creaks, Botanicula and other delightful games.
So, I enjoy horror games and the art and music in this game is beautiful and creepy! The music specifically is underrated. The puzzles aren’t overly complicated and can be completed in a maximum of about 6 minutes. I enjoy this game and hey! It would be cool if you made some sort of sequel eh? Cheers!
