◈ Bugfixes & User Convenience Improvements
Gunship Battle Total Warfare is a heavy hitter in the mobile strategy genre. It successfully scales down the complexity of modern naval and aerial warfare into a manageable mobile format without losing the tactical depth. The ability to manage a carrier strike group, complete with jets and submarines, makes for a very compelling military fantasy. The 3D models are surprisingly detailed for a mobile title, especially the aircraft animations.
The alliance system is where the game really shines. Coordinating massive attacks with players from around the globe feels high-stakes and rewarding. Yes, like many free-to-play strategy games, there are significant wait times for upgrades and a 'pay-to-accelerate' mechanic, but for players who enjoy long-term planning and community-driven warfare, this is one of the more polished options available on the App Store.
High-quality 3D military units
Real-time PvP and PvE combat
Global Alliance wars
Authentic modern warfare technology
Prioritize upgrading your Shipyard. A balanced fleet of Destroyers and Submarines is essential to protect your Aircraft Carriers, which provide the bulk of your offensive power.
Do not play solo! Join an Alliance early to get protection from other players and access to the 'Alliance Support' feature which drastically reduces construction times.
While you start with a generic base, you can collect and unlock specific historical and modern units from various global militaries.
I remember playing this game from at least 5 years ago and I had a “break” for probably two or so years, but I started playing the game again with more knowledge on how to effectively play the game. I enjoy this game even though it’s *kinda* *extremely* pay-to-win (I just claim the gifts). I did read some other reviews and I won’t say that it’s bad, but it definitely could be if one plans to go p2w, since it appears that the radiant supply boxes are not as radiant as one would hope (didn’t try this myself and probably won’t either). More or less a really fun game, especially considering that you can get blueprints for jets such as Jolly Roger (limited time tho… so by the time y’all read this it’s probably over) by annihilating squadrons like a madman. Definitely a fun game, although advertising seems to be rather exaggerated when it comes to graphics and gameplay nowadays, in comparison to the old ones. Would give five stars if endgame-level progress didn’t require massive whaling. Also on a side note, I used my free server transfer recently but I can’t transfer back as a lv 30s player… Can someone help, please?
First started the game two years ago, at first it was fun then the cheating and hacking started and still continues. The developers response is always “send me a screenshot or video of your issue”🙄🙄 players do not record and snap pictures of their gaming time! I’ve watched players get a lvl 5 nimitz at HQ lvl 30 and have typhoon lvl 40s in a weeks time. I’ve watched players CP increase rapidly in a matter of a week. Yes I’ve also spent an enormous amount of money on the game and have not grown as rapidly. I’ve participated in WW where players were stationed at center and reinforced other players yet they were able to freely move their ACC while their fleets were still deployed. There is so much cheating and hacking going on in the game and all it appears the developers are concerns with is making the game a casino game. Those with hacking and cheating abilities jump server to server bullying. Until JC gets a handle on this and stop being more concerned in their stocks the game is going to steady in its decline and continue to be one sided in favor of the Koreans who noticeably are the biggest hacks and cheaters. I mean others are cheating too but it appears Koreans are leading that race. If it’s easy for me to run programs and detect the cheating, it’s just as easy for the devs
The game starts out ok but you end up having high level players constantly attacking lower level players and destroying their bases and stealing all of their resources until that player quits the game. If you persevere and get to a higher level, the hard way without spending money to buy cheat packs, you will be targeted by the highest level alliances for destruction and theft of resources. I was targeted by the highest level group called Korean History and attacked 90 times within a three hour period. What happens is that you end up having 2 or 3 alliances that control every server and who go around raiding lower level players for supplies on a constant basis. I have seen many alliances destroyed and hundreds of players leave out of frustration. This game could be better if attacks were limited to a reasonable number and players weren’t hounded out of existence. Play at your own risk but don’t waste your money buying upgrade packs as everything will just be stolen by the highest level alliances.
Well to start off, I started playing long before there was all the extras, in a time equipment forging was impossible to understand, if it failed to upgrade you lost it, and no matter how many times you upgraded a jet, it still might not upgrade. In other words, I’ve been playing this game for a very long time. It has come to my attention, by speaking with players from other countries, the United States, at a minimum, is being robbed of the same items in the shop as everyone else. I’d love to spend 1200 gems for a box that gives a lvl 8-10 legendary piece of equipment, it would help me complete more of the collection items, to give me more capabilities in war. Many have said this game is favored for other countries to be able to win. I really wanted this to be false and would just admit to myself they were better at the game than I. No fault in accepting that someone is better at something than yourself, all it does it keeps you motivated to become better. My question to you JoyCity, why do you not make it a fair battlefield, and give everyone the same opportunity to purchase the exact same things, for the exact same prices, in every country?
When are you guys going to respond I have submitted two inquiries in the past 4 days to your website with no response,I absolutely love this game but I feel like I have to give you a bad review just to get a response so someone can fix with the update broke. Server 2014 one of myIndependence class ships was reset after being limit broken at level 11 all the way to a regular level one independence class ship, after checking with my alliance members no one seems to have had a similar error I would really like if you guys could take the time to respond to me and repair my ship if you could. Ironically the ship that was reset to level one is at level three now because I waited so long for someone to even answer back or tell me what can be done to repair. I hope I don’t sound like too much of a nag I really do enjoy this game I’ve been playing it for nearly 2 years now please fix this problem for me Just like you asked I put in a fourth inquiry and still have yet to get a response... or even a confirmation number or email why?
This is the wrong game for you, if you’re someone who likes to spend a little money on a game. You will probably receive the items that you purchase from the store, but you most certainly will not receive any bonuses or promotions. Customer service is the worst I’ve seen in any game. They offer absolutely nothing in compensation for promotions that are clearly advertised on the company‘s Facebook page. This is a very disorganized company, with a little interest in supporting the game, and no intention to follow through On the delivery of promised bonus items (rewards for spending a certain amount of money, or buying different packages). If you are free to play - 100%, then you can have a little fun in this game up to HQ level 13 or so. After that upgrades become so expensive that you’ll struggle to have enough resources. The base itself barely provides anything, And mining gives barely enough to cover some minor ship and plane repairs. Also very toxic environment. People attack for no resource gain. You don’t stand a chance unless you’re Korean. Korean company and majority of players. Now we have some random tax that takes 30%-50% of what your base produces. Seems like the ultimate money grab. Game isn’t making enough money, so invent some tax to make you spend more.
I liked this game until there was a gold spending event. I checked out the rewards and they had special supplies. I get some rewards spending some reserve gold and then I use it to get some cool blueprints. I then decide to start digging deeper only to get FS2020 blue prints (7 of them). I then decide to try to get to the 30,000 gold spent mark in which where the reward was 60 of those jet supplies/ all rounders. With another event going on in which where I could attack armada bases for gold, I spent hours grinding, finding, fighting and repeating this to get enough gold to hit the mark. I hit the mark and excitedly open up all the boxes. IN 60 “CHESTS” THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE Fs2020 BLUEPRINT. ONLY FOOD AND USELESS LOW RARITY ONES. Before hitting the 30,000 gold spent mark I had opened 40 “chests” and somehow got 7 blueprints but SOMEHOW WHEN I OPEN 60 I GET NONE. TL:DR event had good prizes, spent hours a day grinding to get cool blueprints i found in the event, wasting a large sum of money too, only to open more than the original amount of “chests” opened to get the cool blueprints only to get screwed over by the game and get no blueprints.
I absolutely love the game but you better prepared for demoralizing losses. It is a pay to win game. I spend a fair amount of money on this game and still can’t compete against others. The best aircraft carrier is hidden behind a pay wall. The producer offers this to even non paid players but it will take literally 5 years to earn in game. There is no way to counter the Gerald Ford level 5 unless you have one yourself. Additionally the jets and upper tier ships again are technically earned in game but only if you have a lifetime to invest. So as a conclusion if you enjoy a mortgage payment to be competitive or you just enjoy a demoralizing experience of bullies repeatedly beating you into submission because you can’t afford to be competitive, then this is the game for you. Update: after purchasing $150 worth of Gerald Ford supply boxes I received a total of 25 blueprints out of 550 prime supply boxes. Those percentages are less than the advertised percentages per box, so it was an absolute waste of money. They will get not get anymore money from this player. I would suggest avoiding this games unless you can spend more than 1k per month on this games just for bragging rights.
