War Drone 3D is a high-stakes aerial combat sim that puts you in the cockpit of modern military UAVs. The gameplay is split between stealthy reconnaissance and explosive tactical strikes. What I like most is the variety of viewpoints—switching from a thermal 'white-hot' camera to a standard 3D view makes the missions feel like real modern warfare footage. The controls are simplified for mobile, focusing more on targeting and weapon management than complex flight physics, which works well for the platform.

The mission structure is bite-sized, perfect for mobile play, but some of the later levels require real patience and precision. You can't just fly in and blast everything; you have to identify high-value targets and avoid collateral damage. The upgrade system for your drones is deep enough to keep you playing, though the currency grind can be a bit slow. no offline play! Tip:put all your money into 25mm gun!

The only tip you’ll need to quell all the complaints about it being too difficult. Put all your money into the 25mm gun. The higher you can get it the easier the game will be. Plus unfortunately level 11 requires a lvl200 minimum 25mm gun to play. I had a lot of complaints about this game but actually playing the game and upgrading has quelled many of them. Sorry, another tip if you come across a level you feel is easy don’t complete it. Just keep playing it for upgrade money. The other reviews are right you can’t replay levels for money. The cluster bomb and tactical nuke are amazing! Something you can look forward to unlocking. My original review: Graphics are the best on the AppStore but the energy needed to play is abysmal. You can only play 10 times before needing to wait to recharge. Can’t replay completed missions for cash. Would love to be able to buy more than one super weapon or reinforcement use for cash. I would love to be able to buy 20 clusterbombs or tactical nukes and just carpet bomb a level. Also would love a mythical chest each time you renew vip for a week. This game is an amazing looking ipad native game it needs offline play!!! Absolutely love this game and would gladly pay a one time fee for offline play, skip ads button, and infinite playtime. To the developers please make these changes. I’ll be one of the first to make the one time purchase and I’ll make some in game purchases as thanks. Thank you!

Great game…BUT

I love this game and I’ve been addicted to it for months. I completely get the patience that comes with a game that has in-app purchases, and I’m willing to build my armament and adjust to each level typically being more difficult than the last. BUT, just yesterday, a level I’ve been working on for several days, and one where I made it to 98% completion, in a matter of seconds updated to become even harder the next time I played it. And I didn’t even update the app…it just got significantly harder just because. I can barely get past the first 5% without depleting half of my 25mm gun. I get that levels get harder and harder, but this one, level 23, arbitrarily got more difficult from one play to the next, with no update or anything. Not happy and about to delete. It’s a shame because this is really a cool game.

Difficulty scale is ridiculous

The first few missions the enemies on the mission were easy at first, taking usually 1-2 25mm gun shots or a single hydra shot, but in the later missions the enemy difficulty get ridiculous scaled up, like having to waste a ton of bombs and mm ammo just to kill a single tank, coupled with a bunch of other enemies that straight up insta kills the person your suppose to protect. Every other aspect of the game is great like the maps and enemies but please make the difficulty scale more fair and less like a mission you need to keep grinding to upgrade enough to power for the mission, only to just realize that the next mission is the same thing with the difficulty scale, plus with more enemies and extra new variance of other enemies that pile up with the difficulty scale.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game that I played it every chance I get. It was tough trying to earn enough to buy weapons upgrades at first to beat levels. So I purposely did not beat a level in or order to earn higher yield cash. I was able to buy upgrades faster by not rushing to beat levels. All of a sudden, all my upgrades were taken away by weakening my weapons strength. My progress all gone after a couple of months playing. I noticed this when half my ammo was depleted trying to destroy one humvee. I wrote to complain and their response was that my weapons are now at the “appropriate strength for that level”. I wrote again to explain what I did and they responded that “my complaint has been resolved”. Now my weapons are so weak and the upgrades are so expensive that it would take me months to beat a level. An awful way to handle a person who paid early on and I played fairly. I wish you all handled my situation better. At the very least refund my one and only game purchase.

Good gameplay but it gets really repetitive early

The game starts out fun but once you reach level 4 (yes level 4, not player level but a stage) it starts to get repetitive. You are forced to upgrade your 20mm gun and your missiles to proceed with stage completion to get to new stages. The enemies don’t change they only have a fatter HP bar and they all spawn in the same place. Weapon progression is slow, I unlocked the hellfire missile 4 hours into the game which feels long since the gameplay is repetitive. You have limited energy, each time you play a level you deplete 1 energy and since the gameplay is soo repetitive it burns out quickly. I found the game fun during stages 1-3 but once you hit stage 4-5 you need to replay the levels 15-20 times just to progress stages.

Too difficult

I find it interesting, I did the math on the top 178 most recent reviews. the number of low reviews seemed to outweigh the positives. the App Store has a rating of 4.8. My short list came out 2.9. I know I don’t have the full list but it makes you wonder? My review - The game was fun in the beginning, but it is each level goes then things get harder and harder, which I understand. Currently I’m at level eight and things are not right. For example, to bring down a helicopter with a hellfire missile takes four hellfire missiles plus about 1000 rounds of machine gun fire. Not realistic at all. The second is it seems their methodology is to make the game so hard that you repeat and repeat and repeat levels so that you’re forced to watch Ad after ad after ad. Lastly, if you decide to repeat any levels, the reward points are so ridiculously low that you’re really not helping your cause. I deleted the game.

A huge downfall of an update

They decided to add an update where basically all the troops have been insanely buffed to where your missles, ammos and etc does little to no damage. When I first started playing, the game was actually extremely fun to where i was quite addicted. I was making fast progress and passing levels everyday. After the update the game is useless. It’s pretty much pay to win. I contacted their support in this regard and they said that they made this update because some players where passing missions and levels without having the proper level of missiles and ammo. Basically saying the game was too easy. Also worth mentioning the game is 100 levels and at level 13, the game already feels impossible to pass. They absolutely ruined the game and i’m not sure why. Wish they made smarter decisions. Extremely disappointing.

$Greedy devs!

WAY TO HARD ON PURPOSE! You CANNOT play this game without spending a BUNCH of money PLUS watching adds right out the gate. And I am an excellent 1-3rd person shooter in all these games. So you play 10 seconds….lose, then need to watch a one minute add to get any money PLUS spend money to come close to competing! The game is to hard even when spending money and watching endless adds. To bad because it is a fun game but deleted due to the devs abject greed. The greed from the devs of these games is stupid because i would play all day if i could actually play vs watching adds after add after add with even that not being enough to continue play. The only way to hope to compete is to PAY 8 bucks PER week and even then it’s very difficult. The abject greed in this world is staggering. I would pay a set price for this game but these greedy devs wanna bleed u dry weekly. It’s crazy man.
