Foundation: Galactic Frontier is one of the most ambitious sci-fi mobile releases in recent years. Instead of sticking strictly to standard menu-driven strategy, the developers have crafted a multi-layered experience that seamlessly merges deep mothership survival management, action-oriented ground tactical combat, and grand fleet strategy. The high-budget production values shine in every cinematic cutscene and starship design.
Navigating Seldon's Plan while managing trade routes and building personal relationships with your crew gives the game a genuine sense of narrative depth rarely found on mobile. While gacha character pulls and base timers are present, the sheer variety of gameplay modes ensures there is always something engaging to do, making it a must-try for sci-fi strategy fans.
Officially licensed sci-fi world based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation
Hybrid gameplay: Mothership simulation, 3D squad combat, and fleet strategy
Deep starship customization and crew bonding mechanics
Large-scale interstellar alliance warfare and trade system
Construct essential life-support modules, weapon bays, and resource processing facilities inside your mothership to maintain crew morale and combat readiness.

Form alliances, deploy fleets along lucrative trade routes, and protect your commercial interest against enemy factions and space pirates.
Design internal cabin layouts, balance oxygen and power resources, and interact with crew members to unlock unique buffs.
Control hero abilities on ground landing missions, utilizing cover and synergistic hero powers to defeat threats.

I’m an avid gamer, playing on multiple consoles and PCs for 25+ years now. This is the ONLY mobile game I play. While there is “similar” mobile RPG’s with base building mechanics, they pale in comparison to what the developers have created here. Even something as big as clash of clans, I maybe played that for 10 hours altogether before getting bored, even with revisiting and giving that game multiple second chances over the years. However, I have put HUNDREDS of hours into Foundation: Galactic Frontier. Even now being an adult that has less and less time to put towards gaming. FGF makes it super accessible and engaging to get your daily challenges in and further progress your fleet. I still find myself on my busiest of days, whether it be a crazy work week or visiting another country on vacation, I’m still able to login for 30 minutes or so to participate with my friends and fellow players. The universe is awesome, aesthetics are uniquely cool, combat is layered, and online play is extremely impressive. Maybe I’m getting old (I’m only 27 hahaha) but I was shocked by how this mobile game can handle ginormous battles that sometimes consist of hundreds of ships from REAL people playing all over the world. I mean, I’ve played games on my XBOX Series X and PS5 that struggled to do that. Give this one a shot, you won’t regret it.
This game is a PC only game that these guys are trying to push as mobil game which also requires you to download Discord chat app to live chat guild orders and directions during all events.. unless you are on a PC the game lags, freezes bad, your ships randomly vanish or wont engage targets or fly off to targets 1hr 30min away and no place is that far away it does this manually or on auto during all PVP/GVG/SVS events (which fighting other players, guilds and servers is all this game is about.. no aliens just a few bugs and other real players who relentlessly attack for glory points which Devs neglect to say in their ads or in app store ), its so bad its almost unplayable most times and NOT enjoyable at all. in-game chat is worthless to use while doing events it takes you to a screen where you no longer see play field at all, you cannot exit or change screens from your main fleet screen when the stupid “ congrats to so and so for this achievement” who cares banner comes across the screen which is every few minutes. Oh cannot forget about the bullies who whine to Devs cause you say something to that person about bullying and you get muted and threatened by Devs (yes I said threatened) ( have screen shot to prove it) to be muted longer, they made the policy about bullies but allow it to continue server wide cause those people pay your bills, right Devs? Just a total waste of time and effort to download and play this game. AVOID IT OR DON’T really don’t care but I am trying to save you from this garbage game thrown together with off brand dollar store band-aid’s and elmer’s glue and Dev’s who don’t care unless your buying their licenses to use in game stuff.
I am happier after deleting this than when I was playing it. The advertisements that show a single player moving around and doing things is not how the gameplay works. The advertisements showing settlements on Mars, Saturn or Pluto is not accurate. This is akin to Kingshot or Evony, where you’re just building structures in the order the game tells you to and subjecting yourself to the will of guilds. there is no self strategy or tactic. It’s a statistical-based follow the cookie crumbs. Do what you’re told when you’re told to do it in the timeline you need to do it to be successful. The storyline is interesting. However it’s repetitive for each planet. You’re given a small story and two choices. No matter which choice you give, the same answer applies and you get a reward. If you’re not willing to be a big spender, you’re just gonna be fodder for the big guys who buys the $99 expansion pack. While this is good for the game developers, it is not designed for the casual player. In fact, casual playing will get you nowhere. Players on the servers are serious and they play eight hours a day if not longer.
Why did they work so hard to disguise what their game is? Clearly a lot of work went into this—despite there being no actual game design. Once you get past the early stuff, it’s just a reskin of State of Lords of War of Battle of Clans of Survival of Evony. As with all of these “strategy games” the “strategy” is 70% how much money you spend, 25% how many hours/day you can be online for your guild, and 5% just not being too stupid. As with all of these games, there is one minor twist on the same gameplay that’s otherwise barely changed since Evony decades ago—in this case, it appears to be that you fly a ship around instead of using city teleporters. I can’t imagine that makes much of a difference to the actual gameplay. And the “combat” part of the game is, as always, a little different, in ways that cease to matter once the “auto” button is enabled and you have no reason to ever play it out again (which happens amazingly fast in this one). I suppose it’s also a licensed game. But other than a few background names and the like, there seems to be nothing to do with the novel series (or the loose adaptation on tv) at all. It’s just generic space opera.
The game is much less Pay2Win than some reviewers suggest and there is a lot of Player Vs Environment activity and missions to keep you busy. It is over-monetized a little, but you can ignore most of it as you are not punished for being a mostly free player. One thing you need to do is make P2P less punitive for lower ranking players. Losing ships in every encounter is not sustainable. In fact you should REWARD lower ranking players for participating in Player vs Player events so high-ranking players have something to destroy… :-) As of right now PvP is almost dead. I see it because in PvE events I never classify to top 100 and in PvP I am in just by losing 3 times. Meaning nobody participates. I am fine with losing and getting less honor points, but if I keep losing ships, then I cannot participate, even as a target for higher ranking players. 4 stars for good PvE content, minus one for PvP being impossible to participate.
The game is descent and can be fun, but it still feels a little like a game still in beta. Could use a lot of polishing for iOS systems. There’s also not a lot of stuff to actually do. I would consider spending some money to help out as I know the dev team needs funds for any product, but the return is not worth it. I’ve played several gatcha type games. Top Heroes, for instance, was worth putting some money in and they are able to keep players involved with continuous content. This game is not there right now. Also, I unfortunately was placed in a very toxic server with the few whales causing problems for everyone and taking away from the fun. This happens in all games, but this game still does not have a server transfer option, although they said they are working on it. All in all, descent game, but not worth putting a ton of effort or money into it right now. Potential is there, but needs a lot more work.
I have been playing this game for the last few weeks now, and at first I enjoyed it. The game gives you quite a bit at first to make you feel invited and that you will not have to spend money. But just this last week I have seen players go from 3 mil power to over 15 mil. Even if you are active a lot you do not get rewarded enough to make progress that fast. Which leaves you open to get attacked consistently by other players that put money down. What happened to when games could just be played without having to spend hundreds of dollars to maintain. I even hit a block where I had to wait 3 days just to beat one mission. The game needs to be more fluid than that or you will lose the players that just want to play the game for fun and don’t have whales money. Also why invest in a mobile game that will fall off after a while? Don’t download this unless you want to blow money on something that will be irrelevant in a day. Worth an uninstall right now that’s about it….
It’s a fun game in the beginning, until you reach around lvl 20 and the costs to upgrade start to ramp up exponentially. At this point they will constantly shove in-app transactions. I could live with this, and even have thrown a few bucks towards my enjoyment of the game. The thing I can’t excuse is how broken and imbalanced PvP and guilds are in this game. If you’re lucky you might end up in a server where most guilds coexist and compete fairly. But if you’re like me, you might instead end up on a server with a major power imbalance where one large guild constantly bullies and makes up excuses for attacking weaker players, essentially blocking progression since many aspects of later leveling require being in a guild and being able to engage in friendly competition. From what I can tell, the developer shows no willingness to do anything about this. I can only assume this is because they hope frustrated players will spend money to lvl faster instead. It’s really a shame, as this could be a truly a great game if not for this.
