fix some bugs
Last Asylum: Plague is a solid entry into the mobile survival horror space. It nails the atmosphere—the hallways feel cramped, the lighting is oppressive, and the sound design is genuinely creepy. Footsteps in the distance actually mean something, and the game does a great job of making you feel vulnerable. The stealth mechanics are basic but effective; there’s a real tension in holding your breath while hiding under a bed as a plague-infested nurse walks past.
The controls can be a bit finicky during high-stress chases, which led to a few 'unfair' deaths in my experience. Also, the resource management (battery life) can feel a bit overly restrictive at times, forcing you into total darkness more often than necessary for the 'spook' factor. Despite these minor flaws, it was a very atmospheric experience while it was available.
Immersive horror atmosphere
Intricate map design
Compelling dark narrative
Challenging survival mechanics
Your flashlight is your best friend, but it attracts attention. Use it sparingly and only when you hear no movement nearby.
Crouch to move silently and hide under beds or in lockers when you see the flicker of a distant light or hear footsteps.
Yes, the game relies on both atmospheric tension and scripted scares.
The Last Asylum: I really enjoy The Last Asylum, but I had an idea that could make the gameplay even better. Right now we have to kill all the rats, but it would be cool if the plague doctor could recruit some of them instead. Maybe we could heal certain rats and use them to fight the infected ones. It would add a fun strategy element and make the healing mechanic feel more meaningful. Just wanted to share the idea — thanks for making such a unique game.
It takes an hour or so to get far enough into the game to realize that this is just another “strategy” game with the exact same mechanics—including no strategy beyond waiting and spending—as a million other State of Game of War of Battles of Engines of Survival of Combat of Clans of Guilds of Alliances games on the App Store. During that time, it’s pretending to be a sort of hybrid between Whiteout Survival, a hero idle RPG, and a hotel sim. They seem to have put a lot of work into that fake early game. Which is a horrible shame considering that game doesn’t really exist except as window dressing to trick people into getting addicted to a pile of derivative garbage. But that’s where game development resources go in the 2020s. Please, do not spend any money on this game, or any of their competitors. If you do, you are part of the problem, and we will never get to have mobile games designed for people to actually enjoy.
It’s a cute game, the game play is exactly the same as every single other game in this genre, but personally I appreciate the plague doctor vibe. The banner at the top, however, is almost enough to make me never open the app again. First off: I do not care one bit about who unlocked the arena. Do not care. Do not need the notification at all. Second The banner also goes though important information at the top of the screen. Like when you’re battling you can NEVER see your or you enemy’s power because there is ALWAYS a freaking notification about some stranger unlocking a normal part of a game? It makes me rage. I beg the devs to get rid of it, but I may never open it again so either way is fine probably lol
There’s just so much going on overall that the game can be confusing. It’s 2 different games in one basically. I like the war part of the game and not so much the interactive part in the sanctuary. The interacting with patients can cause hyper focusing on the sanctuary and falling behind on the rest of the game. You definitely have to be crazy to be able to keep up with so much going on. I’m not far in the game right now so will update when I get farther but hopefully the interactive sanctuary becomes unavailable deeper into the game.
Everything you see in the ad is the same on the game if you play why not survival then you’ll be real good at this. It’s the best game ever. I just got it a few days ago and it’s a really good game so you really don’t have to do that much thinking it’s just so calm and relaxing. I know you may think that it’s just about getting rid of rats but it’s more than that you’ll see.
Saw an ad about this game on Facebook, so decided to give it a try. And I’m glad that I did. It blends the features of some of my favorite games; town building, tycoon, and turn- based battle. Plus, it’s based on on of my favorite moments in history, it even included one of the actual fears people had during the plague: that it was caused by witchcraft. It’s great.
Guys!! This is the PERFECT game bcs it’s exactly like how it’s shows in the ads AND you don’t get any random long ads during the game!! It’s so fun and it’s a really high quality game too I absolutely love it and I usually don’t ever play games and when I do I usually delete them, I’m planning on keeping this one tho bcs there’s no ads and it’s so good
This game is so cool you get to heal people it’s a like fanasty horror suspense game it’s not like all the other apps where you have to wait until the next day or an hour for a reward you get when you upgrade I completely recommend I wouldn’t say it’s appropriate for the ages 12 and under
