I saw an ad, and thought it was fake — and once I downloaded the game I was introduced to similar mechanics and better graphics than the advertisement. I think this game is very flushed; great assets: loading screens, loading animations, great HUD, easy to understand directions, great voice-acting, very professional layout management. Some important notes and criticisms: 1) The 3d model LODs are on par with other games. 2) The combat system is a little boring: (Attack button: auto-targets nearby enemies, just tap it and it hits — no combos / staggering), (Special Attack buttons: varied targeting system and probably locomotions too — is still not very interesting). 3) Very limited starting characters / classes (6). I didn’t play long enough to verify if there is character customization, or vertical movement (any form of jumping), or other combat mechanics (dodging / guarding). I’m just going to assume — probably not — give them 5 stars, and warn you, those features might not be present in game. I mostly wanted to validate the quality of the game itself — legit advertising is hard to come by, and although there is a lot of criticism online for this game, I appreciate the honesty. This looks like a decent quality Dungeon-crawl MMORPG; it doesn’t seem to offer anything special, but it could still be your favorite game, so, give it a shot.
Graphics are great, downloaded because seemed decent enough, like dungeon running, getting gear, etc. The sheer amount of stuff you’re supposed to do every day is unreal. Day one I figured, ok yeah I need to play through the story and go up levels in the tower, there’s no way to get through it any faster so you wait while your character auto fights it’s way to the end of each level. Beginning of every game in general just takes longer. Then you start leveling up, more stuff unlocking that you need to do, again, aside from a couple of things, no real way to skip past battles or speed up the process. The online reward timer? 10 min a spin x8, and for the three days I played, that was finished well before all the other stuff I needed to complete. For me, it’s just tedious watching your character slowly run around and fight things for literal hours for so little progression. If you love having to commit a significant amount of time to a cellphone game, this will work for you. Maybe it gets better at some point, but in three days, I had it open for 9h and 44m. The tediousness ALONE is enough for a bad review, but it also comes with some of the biggest purchase pushing I’ve seen. Dozens of icons for buy this, do that, get rewards for purchases! It’s all just too much. I wanted to like it, it LOOKS good, but everything else is a disaster.
When I was in customize picking a hero, there were no skill introduction and no male/female selection or editing your very own character which was disappointing, when I first played the game I realized that they added auto play which means you don’t have to play the game yourself and let an ai play for you which is a letdown and I feel the game wasn’t much fun after grinding dungeons using auto play and doing arena and all. It was pretty fun learning that there was a summoning characters that will aid you in your dungeon matches, but when your farther In the game you realized you need to get 2 of the same character to ascend it or something which was really hard to do and I think it was unbalanced. After playing for a couple hours I got bored of it quickly after that since there was nothing for me to do because i couldn’t beat the dungeon that affected that quest even after upgrading weapons, characters that aid me to battle, buying new weapons it was harder that I expected and I think I would need to buy stronger items with money so I could get stronger and keep staying in the ranking leaderboards.
When I saw the ads for this game, I had a fair bit of excitement. I remember playing the entire series, and enjoying it. Even when DH5 started becoming very much a pay to progress faster game, it was still fun even as a free player. DH6 is missing that crucial bit. The controls are the lowest quality out of any of the games, having removed some crucial features like moving and attacking at the same time. Skill targeting has taken a loss too. The preview ghost for what a skill does and where you’re putting it are less informative and harder to control than any previous game. There was a promise of customization at character creation, but instead the character is thrown directly into the tutorial level. I will say it looks just as nice as DH5 did, so graphics earn the game an extra star, but those removed features which, for me, were central to why I found the rest of the series fun has left me disappointed and frustrated rather than entertained and excited to continue. I can’t even begin to talk about other systems because the core gameplay that made this franchise so fun was missing. Sad to see the fall of one of the old greats.
I’m a long standing dungeon hunter fan. I’ve been playing since 2013, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear a sequel of my favorite game was coming out. I believe one of the most satisfying feelings in DH5 was getting a brand new weapon, and grinding your soul out to evolve it, along with a cool new “upgraded” look. In this version however, the weapons feel and look the exact same, there’s no weapon inspect feature, and so far I haven’t even found different weapon elemental types, much less so for armor too. Currently, the game has zero skill needed, and I’d like to see that be worked on, as well as grunt enemies taking some skill to beat. Another commentary to make is the attack mechanic feels incredibly janky, as you can only attack when an enemy is in your hit box, which in turn is very inconsistent. I understand this game just released, and there is more to come, but I hope the fundamental direction the game is taken gives us more exciting of an experience.
I have played this game for months and have spent a couple of thousand dollars in it, because it is fun and I’m competitive. BUT it is so disheartening to know that all my work is still no good (even though I have the most power in my guild) if even one of the whales log on. The extreme character imbalance lets them be twice my power by spending more money, and giving them 100% win rate in any event they choose. Writing to the devs hasn’t helped. Many of my friends have left. Even some of the whales stop because the joy of competition is gone when you always win. While others just use it as a way to bully the others. So sad. Could be a great game. It’s just a money maker for them. *UPDATE I and several friends of mine have left the game now. After contacting the developers through many different avenues, the answers would always come back “it is a complicated situation,” “we are aware of the situation,” and “sorry.” In other words, they can’t figure out how to change the imbalance or don’t want to. So sad.
This game is a poor excuse of the franchise. Gameloft made these games good and collaborated with a company to make this one bad. It’s reefs of Facebook quality game feels. Animation alone is bad and then you add the the poor graphics, ui and mechanics. The other game were made with triple A in mind but this was made with triple F in mind. I called it. I said this game would be mid or poor by the quality of the ads. If a studio souly uses those to catch your attention then the game will be less than that. They don’t even have real time cut scenes here. It’s all pre rendered or slide show based. Y’all went through all these years of showing us your potential just to decide you wanted to step back a thousand steps and go straight for the money. Smh remove the game. It has zero passion and a whole lot of pocket watching. Chase what’s in your wallet. If you enjoy, enjoy. If you don’t you don’t. Idk I’m good and more likely leaving this one alone. But that’s all and thank you for reading a non bot made review
This game isn’t just P2W which I wouldn’t mind but no it’s pay to play. Once u reach around level 40 the game locks you out of any further content by locking dungeons you need to raid to progress behind a $20 paywall. This is unacceptable I would rather pay for the game itself and have everything available(I don’t mind grinding) rather than be tricked into thinking I can just play for free and yeah I knew I would never be highly ranked, but I just wanted a fun game to play and sadly they won’t even let me play anymore. This is a sad excuse for a game and a clear example of greed ruining yet another good thing. I planned on playing this game a lot but now I’m deleting it and will only return once all pay walls are removed. Idc if I can’t ever be highly ranked yes I know how these games work and only those who pay will be the best. But I’m not asking to be the best, all I want is to be able to play. The creators of this game should be ashamed as they clearly no longer have any care for their consumers it is all about money. But slowly they are digging their own graves.
