I love dungeons and dragons, especially The RA Salvatore book series that the infamous Drow crossover character originates from (Please add Jarlaxle) and so I’m actually enjoying this game. It’s essentially raid shadow legends though, so just know that going in. It’s just presented in a more storytelling manner with the illusion of more depth to things or things to do woven amongst all the various menus and pleasurable staple sounds, that are soothing to the gamers ear. There’s a psychology behind that as well, which is why anytime I hear a game that has those types of bells and whistle sounds it means in the end it comes down to the same exact micro purchase nudge systems, which is why I’ll eventually have the remainder of that ellipsis in title finish with …it’s another constant push to get you to spend real money, another broken record of a game, so if that turns you off with these types of games stay away if you don’t mind sinking an unlimited wallet into the game towards the late stages just to be competitive then, by all means, give them your debit card. it looks pretty and it’s fun so far but most of my characters and refined gear are only around level 20 with my gear a little bit lower. If you were a happy camper over Diablo, immortal as a perfect example, then by all means, enjoy your self. But again I’m enjoying myself right now as I have not felt forced to spend money yet, but I know these games and it’s early on in their casting the bait slowly.
I seldom give a game review but this game is so amazing. I cannot imagine that a mobile game can designed as good as a PC game. It has fantastic and long enough story line. All the heroes are unique and have their own story. In the world map you not only can follow the main request but also there are a lot of side requests, dungeons, Arena fights, and puzzle games. You can pick food materials and cook in the camp. Try different material combinations and discovering the food recipes brings me a lot of fun as well. Meanwhile, I like this game is because even though I didn’t pay any money on it, I still can enjoy the game pretty well. It seems that legend hero is very hard to get if you didn’t buy the packages, but some rare and epic heroes are very good choices to defeat the boss or do the PVP. The key is set a good team that heroes can collaborate well with each other and farm the dungeons to get good equipments. You need to have several teams by facing different bosses. All in all I like this game very much and willing to play and pay for this game. :)
The few good things I have to say about this game are that the graphics are great, the characters are enjoyable to use, the character lore is good, and there is plenty of information readily available in-game to explain things you don’t understand. I gave three stars because although I don’t enjoy it, I can see there has been a lot of effort invested into this game. However, the game has issues that negatively affect the experience too much to ignore. I am not a fan of games that give you multiple options, be it dialogue options or ways to complete a quest, only to reveal to you after you choose an option, some justification as to why your decision was wrong using information you could not have known beforehand. I’ve only been playing the game for a few days and I’m already bored of listening to and reading dialogue for 30 minutes only to be able to engage in a 15 second battle. I am confused about what this game is supposed to be. Most of the game is listening to and reading dialogue. Is this an audio novel or a mobile game? There’s too much listening and reading dialogue to satisfy people that want to play the game, and there’s too much gameplay for people who want to listen to and read a story. I suppose if you land somewhere in between wanting to have an interactive gaming experience, and wanting to listen to an audio novel, you might like this game. Regardless, I would not set your expectations too high.
Ok so here we go the game is terrible it’s over complicated for no reason. It’s very heavily time gated. Every encounter is very difficult especially if you don’t have the right teams. Then in the game if you use fire you won’t be able to level them up because you won’t beat the stage. Again due to its difficulty on level two. It’s almost like they ain’t think it through. The purple dice give no legendary units and the orange dice are so rare and sparse it’s impossible to get one and you need at least one early game at the current set difficulty. Like if you knew you was going to have it this difficult why put a cap on the resource grind which makes no sense when you need to get the resource to make your team stronger. Game looks good just all the shady tactics for a game shouldn’t be a thing. Let’s not talk bout how it’s a dice roll feature in game which you will lose 80 percent of the time. Oh yeah and if you do the dungeon or tower mode you will get hard stopped at stage 5 no ifs ands or buts. You will not pass this and upgrade to next tier is non existent. Game gets a two stars. Will revisit in a mont to see if anything changes but I seriously doubt it. If you going to have terrible rates then why not just put everything in the game to be accessible. 80 pulls on one banner with different pity rates smh. Game needs a serious update. Don’t knock who okayed this but they should be fired. Yall had something great till the walls.
The game is beautiful, the story so far is your typical D&D epic adventure. So I’m just gonna cut to the chase.. i can only speak for myself but my favorite part of these games is collecting the characters. As long as their is a way for me to collect the players I want be it money or grinding it out then I can see myself playing this for a very long time. I’m not some whale in these games but I have no problem dropping 40-50 bucks now and again to support and enjoy the game as well as getting the characters I want. That said if this turns out to be like Genshin or Honkai Star Rail in turns of character collection then I won’t be playing long.. As of right now this current model is 50 bucks for 10 premium pulls…. I quit playing Honkai due to 2 consecutive 100 dollar drops without getting the character.. it’s just my opinion but to me that’s just silly.. I’d still be playing those guys spending money right now if collecting was easier.. so hopefully this one won’t turn out like that. That said, definitely give this one chance. I’ll update again in the future. Good luck out there!
Game is fun but leveling is boring needing a variety of hero’s is great building different teams for different boss’ but in order to level you grind and it’s boring different activities to gain levels would help. Gatcha is gatcha so without spending money you get mostly rare characters. Stories are fun, questing is fun but needs some work as a team of 70s have a hard time against level 45 enemies, and you hit walls of needing your hero’s higher levels so you grind boring minigame …. Many many hours in game is fun but needs A Lot of work even after hitting 100 and getting gear the next level gear is locked legendary hero drop rate is the worst of any gotcha game I’ve played even if you spend the money you won’t get the hero’s. I really like this game just disappointing and still only one good way to get characters leveled up get ready to sit in goblin lairs as all fights offer 200xp when you need 4 million 🙄. Has a lot of potential to be very fun game. Also pvp is stupid get ready to face the same team 1000x over and over
Big fan of RPG, however, really don’t have time to play 24/7. So not knowing the game resets, I have spent time collecting stamina and food stam. Which I used by spending real money only to find out that you lose it all. I was going to use it on a rainy day to just bing on the game. Not only that most of the thing resets, and you lose your armor you worked hard on. This game is definitely not for players that play a few hours a day or week. I feel like I wasted a lot of money on the game only to find out you lose particularly everything you work so hard for, with that said, if I would have know this I would not have wasted my time saving and spending real money. What a big disappointment. This seems like a big scam. Once again don’t waste your time. If they remove the reset and you don’t lose everything then they game would have gotten a better rating. If I would have know about the reset I would have save a lot of money and most likely would have have not played this game or downloaded it. Big scam on your players, you should be ashamed of yourself for stealing from your customers.
I was wowed by the introduction and graphics, but unfortunately, it really doesn’t respect your time. The game takes the system of games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail very blatantly - which, honestly, is fine - but it doesn’t understand why those work. Dragonheir walls you from exploring more extremely fast, and the world lacks the amount of sidequests and rewards needed to keep you playing. Speaking of - it’s near impossible to get any fun rewards when in the first 3 - 4 days of playing, I could only get three premium summons…total. That’s 3 minuscule chances at a legendary hero. And, by the way, unlike the games it takes from, it has a PvP system - so this matters to your progression. It’s disappointing, because the story seems good and it’s clearly well made, and having so many heroes on launch is just ripe for experimentation and searching for fun combinations…except without shelling out tons, you can’t get a single one. Also, like other games, it has a “server system”, which is incredibly toxic and feeds into pay to win leaderboard mentality. Unfortunate, wasted potential. What a shame.
