Isekai Slow Life is a delightful subversion of the typical high-stress fantasy RPG. Instead of being the 'chosen hero' destined to slay dragons, you are a literal mushroom (yes, really) who has been reincarnated into another world to build a thriving village. It’s a management sim at heart, but the character writing and 'family' system give it a warmth that most idle games lack.

The gameplay involves managing various businesses, from workshops to inns, and recruiting a diverse cast of 'Fellows' and 'Family' members. The art style is gorgeous—reminiscent of high-end anime—and the dialogue is genuinely funny. While there is a gacha element for recruiting characters, the game is generous with resources and truly emphasizes the 'slow' part of its title. It’s a perfect cozy game for someone who wants the fantasy aesthetic without the grind of constant combat.

Before I downloaded the game, I read through the reviews to see how people liked it. I saw a lot of criticism and some good suggestions and I saw the devs had responded to some of them. I was curious if the devs actually considered what they were saying or just said “yeah we hear ya” and then continued to do what they want. Upon downloading the game I was pleasantly surprised! Apparently the game used to default you as a male character and you had no choice but to be male. However when I went to play I had the option to be female! Also I saw a lot of complaints about ridiculous prices that the game was asking you to pay irl money for, and it was just too much money for what you were getting. It seems they fixed that too because you could get some good stuff without having to pay like $30. I will say I saw a review on Gina and how it made the player uncomfortable. I kinda have to agree with this one. I know it would mess up the whole plot entirely if she were removed, however she acts and looks like a little girl… and it definitely feels wrong to romance her. Even if you state she’s like 18 years+ it sure doesn’t look or feel that way. It’s a bit weird and uncomfortable that the game seems to suggest at some type of romance with her when she’s like a literal child. Overall I appreciate the devs for listening to the players and trying to better the experience for everyone.

Amazing just one thing

I just got this game a few days ago and already addicted. All the characters are beautiful and the animation is amazing and its similar to noctilucent one of my fav games so i really like it, especially the story aspect. Will is my fav character and i love the relationship between him and the player, and since i only started i dont know if its gets romantic or theres any special scenes like kisses or maybe confessions, but if there arent id definitely love it if there were, even with any of the family members, id think itd add much more emotion and connection with the player and characters. I also love bl and appreciate the fact you can choose your gender in this game and even go on dates with the same gender. I noticed that when ive tried to unite foster kids, ive only seen options for the opposite gender. If thats not in game, id also love it if it was and i think itd attract more people with that aspect added, id love to see cute same gender relationships in this already comfy game. One last thing is i think there should be a lot more male characters as family members and fellows and such. I love all the female characters and their unique designs and personalities, but again i have a preference for bl and overall just male characters and im sure many others do too. This game is amazing truly and i love it so much already, i just think to keep my attention would be much appreciated with a lot more male gameplay and activity and romance!

Stop being greedy

This game is incredible. Ive been playing since maybe the first week of it being released, and this is the only mobile game I’ve actually genuinely enjoyed playing. The art style is awesome and the actual gameplay has so much to it that keeps you coming back. That being said, I’ve watched this game go from easily f2p, to needing to pay for a few things in order to gain a fellow/costume/etc, to it having events that are strictly made in order to get you to pay out the behind for things. The game devs have become greedier and greedier as time goes on and it’s making me and my entire guild feel as though we cannot keep up. One of our members has spent over TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS on in-game items and is still incredibly low power compared to other wealthier players. The sheer amount of paywalls on the game has made it so much less enjoyable for the everyday player, and has in turn caused so many people to stop playing, and is making me think of leaving as well despite being one of the higher level mostly f2p players in my server. Not to mention, most of these paywalls are actually luck based and not a set amount, as well, so you could possibly end up spending 3x the amount of money on an item than someone else. I understand needing to make money on your game, especially with the amount of dedication the devs have to making it fun, but the fact that paywalls are being added more and more frequently is making it harder and harder to enjoy.

Good game, but lots of issues

Let me start out that I’ve always been a sucker for idle games like this one, and although the devs managed to get the formula down, they also got a lot of things wrong. First, micro transactions and scummy ads. If the game pops up an ad it’ll tell you that something is on sale for 95% and that the bundle they want you to purchase is normally worth up to $2000 dollars when it is absolutely NOT worth nearly that much. And on top of that most of the packs aren’t even worth their real price, every now and then you find a good deal with a good character and maybe some items. Second, and this might be a personal thing, but making money from your crops is absolutely HORRIBLE and don’t even get me started on farming things needed to upgrade your crops. When I first started the game I thought the crops would be op even during late game, but I quickly realized how bad they really are when i started upgrading my buildings more and the upgrades cost more. If I were to use solely the money I make from crops to pay for just one upgrade to my inn it would take me like five minutes. This is just scratching the surface of the numerous things in the game that just don’t tickle me right. I would’ve given it a 3 star review but I like boobies so I’ll give a 4 star.

I love isekai/harem stories and shows so when I saw this game that’s also a town builder game, which I also love, I was excited. The game has turned out not to be how I thought it would be and I’m a bit disappointed about it but it is still an interesting game. Though not sure if it’s enough to keep my interest yet. I don’t mind the game being on the mature side and I don’t mind having females in the town. However I hope In the future we can choose to have half dressed dudes in our harem instead of just or only half dressed females. Personally I prefer only male love interests however others may like a mix. It would be interesting to see it and how it would be applied. Would also like more freedom In the town design if not in where things are placed then at least in how they look. Also in the characters clothing choices, especially in our own characters. It would be nice to be able to personalize our own characters more. Though I kinda understand with this game being story based why the characters are less adjustable. That would also be fun to be able to decide if we want to have more control of our characters isekai stories or follow the original story line if we could instead of just blindly following along a stuck script. I skip a lot, though mostly because I’m not interested in the girls and just want to get past the interactions so I can go back to the more active playing of the game.😅

too many cross server events

a few months ago i would’ve given a higher score. i have been playing this for a while and initially was excited about the idea of cross server events. but i didn’t think they would ALL be cross server. there is not enough server events with only your server anymore. like village earnings or fellow power are all cross server which is IMPOSSIBLE. i’m constantly playing against top players who pay to win from several servers and also against players like myself who hoarded items. basically if you don’t pay you won’t ever get into the top 10 which is when the rewards get to be good. i've been holding onto items for WEEKS and if i use them all in an event id be lucky to get above 50. it was at least possible for me to place decently when it was single server. maybe not always too 10 but at the very least id get to 20. i loved that about this game. i didnt HAVE to pay to win. i used to have hope and felt excited when i held onto items because i knew i had worked hard to save stuff up and with patience id get my reward. but now i dread it. i know ive saved so many items for events and still won’t place high. it doesn’t even feel worth it anymore. there’s nothing exciting about an uneven and over saturated playing field. i think a good solution would be to have two leaderboards for each event. one with your own server and then one that is cross server. so you still have a chance of some rewards within your own server.

i’ve been playing for maybe a little under 3 months and i have had little to no issues. i would like to say i have suggests or thoughts but that doesn’t have anything against the game. the only thing i guess i could say badly about the game would have to be that it can seem a little money hungry at times. but during their most recent update they showed some consideration to the free players! something i would ask the devs to potentially consider is making the island last longer whether that means more days or last longer into the day?unlike the the tree where i have like 14 puzzle pieces for the UR for the island’s UR i still have no puzzle pieces and i believe this is the third time it’s came around for me?? either it lasting longer, making you earn more points, or having it on a sooner page if possible? i would be satisfied to at least be able to reach 1 piece and just having to do it a bunch of times. i would like to add that i would love for more male family members to be added! adding to that have more “risqué” male cgs like the lady ones! cus, as one, there is at least a decent few gals who play the game! considering y’all made a girl avatar. is there a place like a suggestion box i could drop a lot of my ideas too? id love to share them!

So, I started this game around one and half years ago, and as embarrassing as it is to say it did help me get through a rough patch of time I was going through. If I had wrote this a year ago, or even half a year ago, I would have nothing but good things to say, but unfortunately I have to main issues with the game. One, it feels really hard to catch up with people, when new events come out and at the end tons of people have the characters but I only got the login character it stings, because I don’t understand what more I can be doing, so making it so you can gain more power more easily, or gems were easier to get would be nice. Second, the more important of the issues, the servers, I don’t know why and so I’ve chalked it up to crowed servers but I can’t go more than five minutes with out the app closing out and I have to go through the login screen again, and sometimes it doesn’t even take one minute. At first I thought it was my wifi, but there is no issue with that, and then I thought it was my device but no other app had this issue so I figured it was the over crowding of the servers, the game can also be really slow. Overall I do like the game and I want it to continue being part of my routine and while the first issue is more like a want to fix, the second issue is definitely a need to fix. So please fix the servers
