Our Expert Score

91/100

Darts of Fury is arguably the most polished sports title on mobile. The 'swipe-to-throw' mechanic is deceptively simple but has a high skill ceiling—it truly captures the tension of a real dart match where a millimetre difference in your flick can mean the difference between a Bullseye and a Bust. The visual presentation is sleek and modern, with explosive scoring animations that make every hit feel impactful.

The 'League' system is where the addiction sets in. Starting from the bottom and earning your way into higher arenas with more complex boards and better gear is a classic but effective loop. The 'Battle' mode adds a nice high-stakes element with coin wagering. While the gear progression can feel a bit slow without in-app purchases, the core gameplay is so satisfying that you won't mind the grind. It's the gold standard for mobile darts.

Addicting

I played English darts for many, many years. I found this game and didn’t think much about it. I downloaded it thinking I’d be deleting it after I threw a couple darts to kill some time in a waiting room. As I started to play I quickly realized how smooth and accurate it was. Fast forward 2 weeks. I’m completely addicted. I joined the league and I feel that same adrenaline rush playing against someone that I felt when I was actually standing at the line. So much so that I’m thinking about joining another team. This app has gotten me back into English darts big time. I thought those days were behind me, but this app brought me right back. Lol. Everything from top to bottom is done right. The dart selection, the games, the interface, everything. This is by far the best app on the App Store in my opinion. If u love English darts this is must have. It is so much fun. Great job devs. Keep it up. The only thing I would add is a way to hook up and find and individual to play with. The rematch is good in the battle section, but once u leave the game you can’t play him again unless it happens randomly. And during league play u don’t even have the option to go battle them. I get so worked up when I lose to someone and it’s so frustrating not to be able to get to them again. Make it so I can save a certain player to my “fav opponents” list and send them a request to play. Even maybe allow us to schedule a tournament. And also you have to add the ability to really chat during both battle and league games. Not just preset phrases and emojis in the battle section. That’s the only thing this app needs. Other then that it’s perfect.

The most addicting game yet! Just download it!

To begin I’m not the person to write reviews so this is big lol. This is by far my favorite game that I have played on mobile. I highly recommend this game to anyone that loves darts. It’s very addictive though so beware. I have currently been playing this game for about 6 months and still haven’t lost interest. I have a few things that I would like to see happen to the game.(nothing bad just would improve the overall gameplay) It would be nice for the price of the darts to be lower, and or make the rewards worth more. I say this because it can be frustrating to have to wait a whole league worth of games to be able to buy the next one. And I think it would be awesome for there to be some sort of clan! As well as a clan chat or world chat. I know this will never happen most likely but it would make the game even more fun, and I think it could attract an even bigger fan base. Other than that thank you for making an awesome game and I hope that you continue to keep the game updated and alive!!!! I would hate to see this game lose popularity.

This app was my absolute go to for eSport Darts for years. However, in a recent update to their terms of service, they took away everything we once had to legitimately pay for with cash, such as getting ZERO ADS and the Shot Bot FOREVER. Now the same specialty packs like these minus the Zero Ads are all payed for by Gems. Not only that, they full on removed the Zero Ad Option from the game entirely. This forces you to watch an Ad *EVERY SINGLE TIME* you play a match. To top that off, they took away the "Restore Purchases" option too. If you uninstalled the app just to come back to it another time, or in my case got a new phone and re-installed the app, you still have to accept their *NEW* Terms of Service to even play. Whats even more screwed is the fact that you can still login with Apple, but nothing changes. Not only that but the interface itself is screwed up as well. You cannot change your name from "Guest...", nor change your profile photo. They even have a "Targeted Ads" section in the settings, but the button doesn't work which isn't helpful at all. You can only change your flag which is bogus. You had a fantastic game and then chopped up all of us veteran players for this "New Age" junk, where everyone and their mother watches ads just to do anything. Thankfully I figured out a way to work around this. Only thing that changes is that you can't get a "Streak" going. However, I'd rather bypass ALL the Ads and still progress, than waste my time paying the Dev's by watching useless rubbish. - S4U€3Y

Fun Game at Firs

This game was great when I first started playing. Lost a match or two until I got the hang of it, then started winning a good portion of matches. Then I leveled up and was prompted to buy new darts. My darts were fine so I kept playing without buying, and I started losing. Darts just wouldn’t hit the necessary numbers to win. Bought the new darts, and low and behold I was winning again, darts seemed to hit those numbers easily. Then a few levels later, and can’t seem to win again. This is the story over and over again. And the thing is those darts get more and more expensive. And since your get 100 coins for losing, 200 for winning, it takes a long time to get there. The in game reward boxes give limited coins anywhere between 20-70 coins usually. First few new sets of dice are cheap. After that they go to costs that are crazy unnecessary. Your not winning and so it makes it even more difficult to reach the amount of money necessary to buy them. A way of forcing you to make in game purchases no doubt. The worst thing is, at a point you will have no chance of winning matches without making those purchases. I have gotten to the end of a match with my opponent being 160 points behind me, then had them turn around in one round and throw two two 20x 3’s and a double 20 to win the the round before I could hit the double two to win the match. This game is rigged, it forces you to get so frustrated with losing that you buy items, just to deal with the same issue a few levels later. And the thing is you level up quickly so it’s not like those darts you buy will be good for long.

Excellent!

I used to play darts back in my 20s. Now that I’m not into the bar scene anymore I rarely get the chance. Enter Darts of Fury. For a person very frustrated with the concept of “free” games that want to charge you just to advance, this game is a breath of fresh air. Sure, you only get to play three league matches before you have to wait for more energy, but that’s a small price to pay compare to some supposedly free games which are nearly impossible to even beat a stage without paying. Plus, it gives me my darts fix that I put to the side for so long. Yeah, it’s not exactly “real” darts, but for someone who doesn’t drink anymore and has little time to get out and play, this game serves as an excellent substitute. The only aspect of the game I don’t understand is the purchasing of new darts, which you buy with coins earned from your winnings. The darts honestly all seem the same. Add to that the fact that as soon as I can finally afford a new set (your winnings from leagues are meager at best and the battles are a toss up) there is another new set I have to afford, which ultimately makes little difference in performance. It reminds me of trying to keep up with the latest smart phones on the market, which I typically fail at. Overall though - a great game.

Poor MM, no challenge, everyone throws 20

This game is addicting and it is mindless, however, the matchmaking is non-existence and it pairs you with people that you shouldn’t be paired with (i.e. better equipment). But this isn’t as bad as others because it only takes the person to mess up once, which brings me to my next point. This game has no real punishment or “luck” factor. I agree this game should be based on skill, however, the game is setup for you to two the dart and hit a 20 almost every time once you get the motion down. By “set-up” I mean all you do is swipe down and upwards in a line and you’ll hit 20 or Bull. The wager arena are based off (seemingly) on who the game wants to win. I have had countless times where the game award several throws for the person to get 50 points while I have been awarded one for 60. Thanks game, why cheat and let the others win? It happens countless times and it would make sense if it only gave the throws it took to hit that point value. However, I’ve had time when it took them all three throws and still only gave me one throw. This game seemingly has no consistency, poor matchmaking, and nothing to make throws a little more dynamic. This is why I enjoy league matches the most because it isn’t just throw and let the game make you win, that one you need to hit exactly the point value. Sure you can throw 20s all day, but if you can’t hit anything else you’ll struggle. Overall if you play league game is a 4, if you utilize other features the game becomes a 1 star. At least if you have my luck.

Great game

Amazing graphics, touch controls, and multiple game modes make this game an instant hit. Upgradable darts and the ability to customize the look of them adds a fun concept to a fairly simple game design. Like real darts, practice makes you better in this game. My one complaint and the only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is a problem with scoring when playing matched games, which is the majority of what you play. When you are matched against someone, the game randomly picks who goes first and that player gets a massive advantage. If a player was on target they could win a 101 point game in the first turn using only the three darts. (2 - 50 point bullseyes and 1 single point is one possibility of many ways it could be done) If someone was good enough to do this, then they could win the game without even allowing the other player to throw any darts. This is because as soon as the point requirement is met, that person instantly wins and the match ends. An easy fix this would be if the player throwing second would get the same amount of darts as the player who threw first took to complete the game. So if it takes five darts to hit the required total, then the second thrower would have a total of five darts as well. If both throwers meet the score with the same amount of darts, then the game would go to single dart throw off where highest score would win. However, if one player can complete the game and their opponent cannot, using the same amount of darts, the player who completed would be the winner with no throw off necessary. This would take the randomness out of it and allow a fair chance for both players regardless of the throwing order. If this were fixed it would be an easy 5/5 as other then the one problem, it is a great game.

Subtly addictive. Minor kinks, great game!

This game is a must-have for your mobile device! It has great visuals, user-friendly gameplay and PvP competition! Adequate depiction of the thrill of darts without the lengthy skill curve that live darts has. There seem to be no massive benefits amongst the wide range of darts. Adept players will find it easy to hit their target rather often although it does feel slightly smoother as you level up and acquire better darts. The league mode and the idea of tokens is great so you don’t burn out the game in two hours and you need to league up in order unlock new tiers of darts and flights. League play also groups you by your rank so your opponents are of a comparable skill level. Also, if you have coin you can always participate in a battle match and play non-X01 games, which is actually versus a live opponent! My only gripe is that the VIP membership is subscription-based and you still get ads while on the membership. Granted, I was on a trial, but I thought that would be pretty whack if I had to pay for ads in the game. Overall great game. Highly recommended.
