Golf Blitz is the most fun I’ve had with a mobile multiplayer game in years. It takes the solid physics foundation of Super Stickman Golf and turns it into a frantic, four-player race to the hole. It’s less about the finesse of traditional golf and more about the chaos of power-ups and sabotage. Using a 'Sniper Ball' to nail a perfect shot while someone else uses a 'Grenade Ball' to blast you off the green is pure, unadulterated joy.

The matchmaking is incredibly fast, and the 'Trophy' system keeps the competitive spirit alive. The card-based upgrade system for power-ups adds a nice layer of strategy—deciding whether to focus on speed, power, or accuracy for your specific playstyle. The only potential downside is that the game can feel a bit 'grindy' at higher levels, but the core gameplay loop is so satisfying that I rarely mind the wait for new packs. It’s vibrant, funny, and incredibly polished.

Amazing, but many issues

Golf blitz is an amazing game. It would be my favorite game ever, but it makes me so mad. I rage in basically every round, because some bum decides to hit me off the map, or everyone’s shot but mine goes in the right place. But my biggest complaint is the matchmaking. When you join a game, you will be matched with people who have the same amount of trophies as you. This is unfair, because you will have a level 11 in the same game as a level 33, or something like that. Every time you level up, you get to upgrade a skill, such as speed, power, accuracy, or cool down. So if someone is 22 levels higher than someone else, they will be able to go faster, further, more accurate, and have to wait less than the other person. This is extremely unfair because you have people with barely any experience and skills that aren’t leveled up, vs someone who is extremely experienced and has leveled-up skills. Also, when you reach level 25, you get to start with more elixir, which you use to get power ups in-game. So with unfair matchmaking, one person will get to start with a power up, and another person will have to wait. Also, when you are done with the match you are in, you will earn trophies that are distributed to you from other people for winning, lose trophies that are then distributed to other people for losing, both. Instead, there should be a set amount of trophies for each person, like +50 for 1st place, +25 for 2nd, -25 for 3rd, and -50 for fourth. This is one of my favorite games I have ever played, but it is impossible not to rage and want to delete the game.

Golf Blitz is one of the few Mobile Online-Multiplayer games that I’ve played that is not formatted to be a complete cash-grab, P2W mess. I’m writing this review after the devs just released an update to make the endgame less of a grind, and I think this type of behavior from studios should be praised. Especially when compared to other games, where updates are often released to achieve the opposite effect. The game is still pay-to-win, but it’s significantly more reasonable to get your account to a competitive level than in other mobile games in the same genre. For reference, I’ve been playing for about 6 months and spent about $10, and gotten myself to the level 40 range where you can play at a competitive level every season. As for the actual gameplay, well: it is simple, but I think it works really well for the casual mobile format. At times, it can get stale and you can get frustrated with some situations you don’t have control over or that seem luck based. But I find myself coming back to it for quick matches almost every day. The devs release updates with more content on a fairly quick basis. The playerbase is also active, and you won’t find yourself playing against bots as you might in other games (outside of the very early game).

This game is one of the best I’ve played in awhile but there are a few major flaws that if fixed could make this an even better game. Some of them include the match making. It seems solely based on trophies and unfortunately it doesn’t work as intended. I definitely should not be playing level 30+ as a level 15 regardless of how many trophies I have. The higher level players have a huge advantage through the skill level and it just gets on my nerves. There have been times playing against higher level players and they will just uses there short cooldown and powerful hit speed to continuously hit me in the water before I can even get a shot off. This just ruins the experience. Now that may not be directly the games fault that they are doing that but they wouldn’t be able to if we were the same level. Another issue is that whenever I go to log in even with perfect internet it always gives me a log in issue. I have to retry multiple times or even delete and reinstall that app before I can play. The final problem I have with this game is that I have 25+ extra hats or outfits that I can’t do anything with. I should be able to use them for Exp or unlocking a different character because it’s completely useless when I have all those extras. In conclusion this is a great game but these issues can make the game very frustrating so please consider fixing these.

Good game but it needs…

I like this game a lot and I really like the progression and the speed to level up and you always feel like your getting somewhere and I am now level 8 but as I’m progressing I’m starting to realize a flaw. The flaw is Skill Based Matchmaking, now idk what kinda system y’all use atm but I’m assuming it’s at least heavily based on trophies but I don’t think it should ONLY rely on that because I have been being matched with people that are 20, 30, and 40+ WAY to often and honestly I just close app cause this is the “play to win” type of game since you don’t get anything for striking out so what’s the point. It’s completely unfair to be paired with someone more than double your rank (no matter what level u are) cause they all have a lot better ability’s than you do and skill. The game seems too much like a game where if your the higher rank your gonna win point period blank and it’s unfortunate. If any of the devs are reading this please don’t sweep this under the rug. Please consider this. I’m certain that I speak for other players, right when I started this game it wasn’t a problem and wasn’t pairing me with people with 2x or 3x my level but after rank around 5 it became way to often and now it’s sometimes every game and as I’m sure you would understand ruins the experience.

Best golf game on the App Store

I’ve been playing this game for a few years now and I have to say, this is the only golf game you will ever need, don’t spend anything else on any other trash cash grabbing game. Okay so to start this game has lots amazing and fun ideas, although I do have some suggestions. First off I don’t think that matchmaking should be based on trophies but by levels, because sometimes when I stop playing for a while then a season or two goes by and my trophies go down, I don’t really mind though because I’m not super competitive at this game, but the problem is that when my trophies go down I’m often playing against people that are lvl 5-6 while I’m lvl 14. And second one time I was trying to log on to this game but every time I tried to load it it would just kick me out, idk what issue it is, maybe my phone or just something wrong with the game, and it was like this for a few months but then I decided to delete it and downloaded it back and it all of a sudden worked. Except all my progress was lost. I started playing again and I got back to lvl 14. So in conclusion golf blitz is an amazing game and definitely worth downloading, and developers, listen to my ideas and try to fix that glitch.

Great game. Hours of addictive fun, but after attaining a certain level, around 35-40, you can no longer progress in the game without paying hundreds of dollars. Those hats and golfer that used to cost you a reasonable amount of bucks, all of a sudden jump to 100,000 +. And to get 100,000 bucks organically, without paying real cash, will require you to play the game several hour a day for months and months, just to get a few upgrade points. The game goes from being fun and easy to upgrade till about level 20, then it becomes challenging and may coax you to pay some money to fast track your advancement, till about level 35. After that, there is almost no way to move forward without paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars. You can buy a very complex and amazing PS4 game (that is thousands of time more sophisticated than this game) for $59-79 with no need to purchase more stuff to enjoy. After level 35, you will pay 10-20x that amount to keep advancing, or accept just getting stuck at that level and nothing ever changes. Is it just me who’s getting sick of these pay-to-play games getting out of control? Am I the only one who longs for the good old days, when you could just pay for a game or an app, and then enjoy it without being forced to keep paying more and more? Bottom line, this game is fun, but if you aren’t a billionaire, you won’t get very far.

The epitome of Pay-to-Win, but still fun

First off, let me just say this game is one of the most fun mobile games I’ve ever played. I grew up playing the OG Super Stickman Golf games and was super excited to see an entire game based off the multiplayer mechanics from SSG2 (the best part of that game). Being able to play with friends is so much fun and I really like that even if they’re a lower level than you, they can still play with power-ups and courses that only you’ve unlocked. I’m also thankful that the ads are optional and not up in your face all the time. Obviously the game devs need to make money so that’s why you can buy cosmetics and the new Star Pass. The only problem with this is that the cosmetics give you experience, which basically means if you have enough money you can buy your way to Level 50 without any actual skill. I’ve been playing for about a year and I just got to Level 25 without buying anything from the store. The problem here is that Levels are important to how well you do in actual gameplay- even if you have more skill than a Level 45 and you’re a Level 5, they’re almost always going to win because they have a faster cool down and ball speed. And when you go into random matches, it’s really easy to get a match up like that because the pairing system is based off of trophies, not Levels. All I’m saying is there’s a clear problem with the way matchups work in the game, and it clearly favors the people who spend money on the game, which just doesn’t seem right. But, besides that, great game. Good job Noodlecake. Both on your game, and the name of your company, like Noodlecake is an amazing name.

They got me! My bad! Excellent game and wonderful gameplay. Four and a half stars for the game and a half star for pranking me so hard!! Well done and happy April Fool’s day to Golf Blitz! For some strange reason the developers decided to completely change the way the game is played! Before it gave you a shadow showing where your shot was going. Now a few short arrows point in a direction that your ball might go and to “hit” he ball you have one chance to get tap how hard you want your ball hit. If you miss tap your ball goes nowhere or too far. As a Level 41 player, I find this change frustrating and unwarranted. Give us back the original Golf Blitz! If you want this type of game play make a Golf Blitz 2 or something. This is not the same game I have played for an EXTREMELY long time and invested a great deal of money in, not only for myself, but also my grandson as we play each other and I buy him the special skins as rewards for doing well around the house and at school. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS UPDATE/CHANGE. What you had before was a wonderful game that multiple generations could enjoy. Now, I don’t know if we will be able to continue playing! SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT! CHANGE IT BACK AND THIS IS A FIVE STAR GAME.
