Made pillows in the Om Nom's box softer.
Cut the Rope: Physics Puzzle is a masterpiece of mobile gaming. The physics are incredibly intuitive, making it easy to pick up but very difficult to master. Each new box, like the Steam Box or Cosmic Box, introduces a new mechanic that completely changes how you think about the puzzles. It’s a perfect example of how to keep a simple concept fresh over hundreds of levels.
425 physics-based levels
17 unique themed boxes
Award-winning graphics and sound
Om Nom Stories animated shorts included
In the Cosmic Box, gravity is your biggest challenge. Use the gravity switches to manipulate the candy's path mid-air, ensuring it hits the stars before reaching Om Nom.
Swipe your finger to cut ropes. Use bubbles to float candy up and air cushions to blow it across the screen, all while avoiding obstacles like spiders and spikes.
The goal is to cut ropes and use environmental tools to deliver candy to a monster named Om Nom while collecting three stars in each level.
tldr: flawless game, singlehandedly made me (an atheist) convert to christianity because i cannot fathom how this would’ve been made without a god. the love i have for cut the rope is simply immeasurable and unparalleled. the immaculate level design and lifelike, fulfilling gameplay is enough to get me through even the hardest of times. it is truly a relic, a masterpiece unto this world, and it has singlehandedly sparked my belief in a supreme being. for how could such perfection be crafted without the aid of one? if the greatest philosophers pondered for decades on end, they undoubtedly could not grasp the meaning that cut the rope has given me. the purpose that has bubbled up inside me. each death is a learning experience, teaching me the ins and outs of this universe, and each success is such gratifying freedom. in all my life, i have never experiences something as magical as cut the rope. and i haven’t even mentioned the soundtrack. the impactful ambience playing throughout the background of the game gives me strength to move forward, not only in the game, but in my life. i feel every worry slip away, every burden lifted off of my shoulders, each second i play bringing me bliss peacefulness, that i simply do not feel anywhere else. i’ve begun to neglect my needs, because cut the rope fulfills them. cut the rope eliminates my hunger. cut the rope quenches my thirst. without cut the rope, i would be a dead man.
I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid so much so that I begged my grandma to buy me more levels once I had beat them all. It’s been years since I’ve played and I was excited to try it again. It’s exactly like I remember and the game itself is still fun. My biggest problem with this game, which is putting me on the verge of deleting it, is the amount of ads. After every single level I get an ad and after every restart I get an ad. It really ruins it when I’m trying to figure out a level and the moment I click the restart button a loud ad pops up. Even more annoying when the reward box fills up it asks you to watch an ad to unlock it, when I say no to watching an ad, it forces me to watch one anyway and doesn’t give me the reward. I’m all for free to play games having ads, I totally get it, but not when it’s more ads than gameplay. I shouldn’t be hit with an ad after declining to watch an ad. I also am the kind of person who, if I enjoy a game enough, has no problem paying to get rid of ads, but $9.99/Month to get rid of ads and get power ups I don’t even use? It’s ridiculous. If there was an amount I could just pay (not a subscription) to just get rid of the ads I would, but there isn’t. It feels like a really cheap way of trying to get money (filling your game with ads and telling your players they have to pay $10 a month to get rid of them) honestly really disappointed and will most likely be deleting it soon, I just don’t think it’s worth it.
I used to play this when I was really little and I liked it a lot, so when I got my new phone I was like “why not?” and downloaded it, it is not exactly how I remember it. 1st off the superpowers, they make it super easy to pass some levels and totally ruin the game play. You get sooooo many hints so that when you finally get a level where you have to acutely try you have like 20 hints stocked up. + you get like 1 to 4 superpowers every day 😑 2nd Ads... this game used to be ad free!!! Why did you change that!!! Now pretty much every level I have to watch an add for an app I will NEVER get! ( and stop telling me to watch the “new episodes” of cut the rope, it’s a game not a 4 year old cartoon 😒) . 3rd this isn’t really a real problem but the new episodes and seasons of cut the rope really bug me, they are constantly trying to get me to watch a show that is super cringe and I will never watch. I mean come on, the majority of the players aren’t 4. (Yea I get it this game is made for smaller children, but it is still a pet peeve of mine). Other than those reasons I really like the game, and think it is a fun way to pass time (on airplane mode). It has changed a lot but still really fun and addictive 😊
So to start, I’d give it a 4.5 but that’s not how it’ll let me. Anyway. OM NOM IS ADORABLE ❤️❤️❤️!!! I used to play when I was young and decided when I got a mobile ‘Why not enjoy my work free life while it lasts?’ So I downloaded it. IT HAS CHANGED. I mean, did it change for the better??? Superpowers make it to easy. Ik this is aimed for younger kids but (Uh pet peeve don’t judge) I did, and still do, enjoy the game. Hints pop up after some time. The hints aren't hints they are solutions. TOO EASY. I am sorry, but I think they made it a bit to easy. AND WHY, EXPLAIN, DOES IT WANT ME TO WATCH SOME CARTOON??????? WHY??? I’m sorry it keeps popping up like “Watch Om nom now!” “Season (Xyz) came out yesterday! Watch now!” I mean, we’re not all 4 year olds are we?? And then there’s ads for other games made by same developers. Why do that? Ik they are like Om noms adventure or what not but I’m just there to feed Om nom. Uh I haven’t had much of an ad problem so there’s nothing to be said there. So, my opinion in which they should not have added is; 1, No superpowers. Like why? Much too easy. 2, Hints popping up like every 2 mins or so! 3 WHY THE DANG CARTOON???? And lastly, 4. I think they should ad a candy (acting as money) thing where you could earn candy by playing levels and feeding Om nom. Then you should be able to BUY the hints not just watch an ad. But there’s not to many things to be said abt this game. So I give it a 4.5! ❤️🏆🌟 Thanks for reading!
Okay, so this game is fun and all, but their are honestly too many ads. I mean, you could just get the VIP pass, but it costs money, although it is only 10 dollars and removes all ads. But any way, if you don’t get VIP pass, you’ll be in Adtopia (okay, it doesn’t have that many ads and a lot more games have way more ads, but I still like what I said). There is at least 1 ad when you lose, restart, or go to the next level, and it’s random every time. Also, if you lose too many times or restart the level too many times, it will offer you one hint for free, or two hints after watching an ad. And what I mean by “hint” is how to beat the entire level. It can be too easy as you could restart a level over and over until you can get a “hint”, and you could just cheese the entire game very easily. And you start out with a couple of boxes (boxes act as the worlds for this game) but then there are two other packs with boxes, AND YOU HAVE TO PAY MONEY FOR THEM! They are included in the VIP pass, but still, who makes you have to buy levels (well technically, you pay for levels for some games because you buy the whole game, but still, who makes you buy just for levels)? It’s like a case with Super Mario Run, where you start out with just a couple of levels, and then have to pay for the rest of the game. Even though I’m saying all this stuff, it’s still a great puzzle game, but you either need to be an ad watcher or pay half of your bank account on games. Then again, it’s not expensive and their are no additional payment… You still can get this game if you want to.
Wow this game took a nosedive since I last downloaded it. Decided to revisit it today because I’ve always enjoyed this game and it hits a weird nostalgia point for me, and wow have they ruined it! The ads are so frequent and invasive they make the game unplayable, more than half of your time spent on the app will be closing ads as opposed to actually playing the game. And to add insult to injury, no longer is it a .99 or even a $1.99 to get rid of the ads, no no no my friend. It’s part of a bundle that’s $9.99 + fees a month! They expect me to pay the same amount as a Netflix/Spotify subscription for a mobile game app with nowhere even close to the content and value of ANY subscription service or real any other $10 purchase you could make ANYWHERE else on practically ANYTHING else. This is insulting, and if you pay this ridiculous subscription cost you should be publicly stoned and your money should be taken from you and used to feed starving children because you aren’t capable of managing it properly but the sad thing is they’re most likely only staying afloat through young kids stealing mommy and daddy’s credit card without their knowledge because nobody in their right mind would spend that much money on this game. The developers/creators/owners of this app are downright despicable, slimy, gross, greedy people and do not deserve your money. I will be uninstalling and will not give any business to this company or any companies with practices like this. I suggest you do the same. Stop taking advantage of gamers and children. You’re scammers is what you are. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
Used to love this game, but the developers have gotten so greedy. It's not even the number of in-app purchases that bother me, it's how predatory they are. I almost paid $5 ACCIDENTALLY because I tried to play a later level than the tutorial, and kept recieving pop-ups asking $10-15 for... pretty much nothing. It was like a costume and some coins I think? It was clearly targeted at kids on their parents' phones using a synced credit card without permission, because it was ridiculous pricing and WAY too easy to purchase. Then of course there are the ads, what's a mobile game without them. Of course there are the numerous invasive video ads, but there are also pop-ups for in-app purchases, offers to watch ads for rewards, and prompts to use your few coins/powerups which just.. don't go away. I've had to close out the app to remove them without wasting the resources which can only be regained by- you guessed it- in-app purchases. All of that is annoying, but yknow, free mobile game. It's par for the course. However, the game is also just not fun. As I mentioned, you can't skip levels without paying ridiculous amounts of real money, and all the early levels are trivially easy; I'd classify the first 15 as a drawn-out tutorial, and it really doesn't get better from there. So, in conclusion, don't get this game.
Now I know that my review will likely be lost in the sea of reviews and that me giving this one star won’t make the developers change their minds at all. I really wanted to enjoy this game. I played it all the time when I was a kid and I have a lot of fun memories sitting in a car during road trips playing this game or bonding with my dad while we both tried to solve some of the tougher puzzles. Because of this nostalgia I decided to re-download it because I have fond memories of it and I love unique puzzle games. When I redownloaded the game and played it I was met with disappointment. Cut the Rope has changed a lot as many other nostalgic games have. My main gripe is the ads. I’m okay with some ads in games, I get that the developers need to make money, but this many is ridiculous. For some of the tougher puzzles, me resetting often means I have to sit through three or more ads to complete a single puzzle, and then I get treated to one more before I can move to the next level. I’d be willing to shell out a few bucks to remove ads, but the fact that they make removal of ads a monthly subscription, and $10 at that, is just absolutely ridiculous. $10 a month is just way, way too much. The easiest comparison I can draw is Plants Vs Zombies. I had so much fun and so many memories of that game, but, much like cut the rope, it is just so frustrating with all the monetization that it is no longer any fun to play at all. And that’s my concluding point. I don’t want to play this game anymore. In short, you will be watching ads more than playing the game, and I kid you not, that’s not an exaggeration.
