Angry Birds Friends takes the formula we all know and adds a layer of social pressure that makes it surprisingly hard to put down. While the core physics gameplay remains the same, the shift to weekly tournaments against your actual friends changes the stakes. Getting a high score isn't just about three stars anymore; it's about seeing your face at the top of a leaderboard and mocking your buddies.

The weekly refresh of levels keeps the game from feeling stale, though the reliance on power-ups can sometimes make the competition feel a bit 'pay-to-win' if you aren't careful. However, for a quick daily gaming fix, it’s excellent. The tournaments are short enough to play on a commute but competitive enough to keep you coming back to shave off that extra 1,000 points from your score.

The game is getting more intricate and difficult and to maneuver around and because the score boxes cover the parts of the game at the top and to the right. Please either make them smaller or put score boxes on the bottom so as not to interfere with the playing of the game. April 18, 2023 Thanks. The game is not loading on my iPad. I have to click on the app about 10 times or more and if I'm lucky, it will come on. What is the matter...is it new updates or is it from Rovio? Losing my patience😩 October 19, 2023 Angry Birds creators are not listening....the score boxes are covering parts of the game because they're too big. The difficulty of the game has increased to the point of frustration and considering quitting! When he run of playing becomes too much of a chore to continue....then something needs to change. The fan feature is ridiculous and sometimes impossible to get good scores. Not happy Dec 24,2025 I am growing more frustrating with this game..the level of difficulty is ridiculous with not enough birds to get a score and having to keep doing it over and over and over is getting old quick. People are getting discouraged with repetition. I've been playing AB since the beginning and can't believe its difficulty is getting beyond .....☹️ And please make the score boxes on top......................S. M. A. L. L. E. R 🙄

Hello Rovio entertainment today I’m reviewing angry birds friends with my thoughts and opinions please feel free to tell everyone about my review. For ab friends being one of the only classic angry birds games still around that is already worth a star on my review because I love all the classic angry birds games just the concept of slingshoting birds at pigs was always enjoyable I especially love the concept of infinite levels this one has just playing a bunch of different levels in the form of tournaments is amazing and how these levels are made is even cooler, I would love to see an official angry birds level maker uploaded to the App Store anyways I love how the birds are more powerful than ever before and the art style is pretty good my only problem comes with how hard the levels can be which isn’t really much of a problem that you can fix because games like this require the difficulty and my final point is how I’m not a fan of the recent updates I don’t like how the amount of levels required to beat before reaching the tournament was increased and how there is a useless feature occasionally added like blues tallest tower which would be better if you let the player decorate the tower anyways that was my review and I’m honestly more impressed with the game than I thought I was going to be so I have to give a close to 5 star review.

ETA Now levels show more than four birds waiting to be launched but something happens and birds five and six do not get on the slingshot. There is no explanation for how to activate the last couple of birds, like what to aim for that activates them. This is lame--it's not a challenge if you don't make it clear what the objective is supposed to be. I guess I'll ignore these levels. Hope this isn't the plan for the future. ONCE AGAIN, if players aren't playing, they are not watching the ads. Decide what you want.... I will not play the tournament just to unlock levels. And remember, when not playing, am not watching ads. Which do you prefer, no players and no ad watching, or players watching the ads? ETA: Now will not load even after a hard restart. Also don't appreciate sponsorship from Russian ops site 5 Minute Crafts, don't need to learn to make cardboard storage units and glue gun coasters to use in substandard Soviet-era housing from their mind-rotting and time-wasting videos. Update has NOT restored the old Star Cup--no thanks. If you want users to keep playing the game and WATCHING THOSE ALL-IMPORTANT ADS, you might consider restoring the old Star Cup style of play. Because if we're not playing, we are not watching the ads...get it? This new "Star Cup" with rankings where you lose points is the straw. ETA: Losing star points still a function of the Star Cup, so I'm not going to play anymore, having lost over 30 points apparently just by opening the Star Cup to see if those changes were still in effect.

Game glitch

While playing BLUES TOWER and playing level 299, right before I would have played one more level for 600 coins, the game glitched on me and I screen recorded it going in and out but not closing the game hoping it would figure itself out, then finally had to shut down. I lost my place after weeks of not spending money to finally get to the next save level, I had to close out and it bounced me back 13 levels. Even if I did poorly in those levels, I had 414 coins that would have helped me through. Instead the game glitched and dropped me down to level 286 and made me lose 600 coins. I have played this game for far too long for this to happen. Too many times this game has glitched in certain ways that has made me lose levels but not make me miss out on 600 coins and anyone knows that playing this, 600 extra coins can get you a long way. After having this app since 2015, almost 10 years, it’s time for me to quit and say goodbye. Game has been going on for far too long to continue to have portal glitches or game glitches that knock you down from losing slightly bigger pots of coins. Too many user to have so many problems the way you do. This isn’t to deter anyone from playing because it’s a great game. Just tired of the issues.

Fake update with more scammers

This game is AWFUL!! When it first came out on 2 of my phones, things. Got. Ugly!! First, it takes additional time for it to load, & now on star cup, I get scammed and cheated off of by my opponents!! This is bad! Not only that, but it blocked access to the game for 1 1/2 months!! I come to the App Store and it says "open" & not "update"! The thing about the star cup is the increased number of scams, theft, and cheats. When starting a round, I collect all the power ups by watching the videos which takes forever on my iPad because it freezes or crashes so much!! And when I FINALLY finish, I go there and tear people up! I haven't been able to do that thanks to you & your awful updates! I have over 700 coins from letting them build up when spinning the prize wheel and winning the matches! I promise you if this update is bad, I will play the tournament 1 more time, and disown ALL of your games! So for all your 1 star reviewers, PLEASE fix this up!! Especially with the star cup!! I used to be a professional player with little losses, even winning and opening all 6 treasure chests 4 times in a row, until the "update" came and ruined it all!!!! Even worst, if my opponent didn't score on one of the three matches, when I went the next one or got the final results, I've. Been. Scammed!! They've went FLYING up higher by hundreds of thousands of points!! Same thing when I pass the with extra points with my leftover birds, or I decided to use wingman to help me get the extra points I need! When this happens, I've won right? Wrong wrong & SO wrong!!!! Because as said before, my opponent flew up and scammed me! If I don't like this update, I will be done with this,

My personal favorite version of angry birds is the original, no leveling up birds, no transformers, no battles version. Angry birds friends is the closest I could find. Rovio could you please release the old version where there were a bunch of themed level for each land? It is my favorite and it isn’t as overwhelming visually. I would really appreciate it. I mean what’s the harm? You could make it like retro angry birds and tons of people would go for it. I do like how you release new levels that change every few days and you try to score the highest, that adds a fun element but once you get to diamond level, there really isn’t anything to earn, there is no point. Maybe you should release more themed slingshots or add skins for your birds. You kind of level out on friends. I still play it for the changing levels but if it didn’t have that I would have gotten rid of it. Overall it’s a fun game but I would like it if you could take my suggestions into consideration, thanks!

Too many ads, too hard to earn powerups, & technical issues!

I have played AB Friends since it started. I LOVED it! Able to move up according to your skill. A couple years ago I stopped playing bc levels became too complex to win without powerups. They also added more levels so you run out of powerups with the extra levels. Unless you pay real money (I refuse) you can’t compete equally with those players who do. I watch ad after ad after ad, and still can’t get enough powerups to beat each level. I would rather pay a reasonable amount for a fair game than watch all the ads. My fave game has become too frustrating to play as is. Also there’s an issue where after shooting last bird, the “End Level” and “Use Wingman” buttons cover up the playing area while the game is still going, so you can’t see what’s happening and then can’t make a decision on whether to use wingman or end the level. This is happening on my iPad since the last update.

So I’ve been playing this game for YEARS. I’ve even gotten my sister and my mom hooked on it. I’ve spent real money on bird coins quite a few times before. That’s how much I’ve liked it. Until last weekend that is. Over the weekend I was at the shore. At the time I had about 2,000 bird coins. I played here and there throughout the weekend, but nowhere near as much as I typically would have if I was home doing nothing. I was busy. I went on a date Sat night and as you could probably guess I took hours to get ready. I went on the date and never touched any game on my phone. Then the next morning I look and I have 57 bird coins!! So I contacted Rovio to ask about it. After a while I noticed there were these crazy power up purchases that I never made! Nor have I EVER made ANY purchases like that in all the years I’ve been playing this game! After I contacted the makers of the game I got a response from Zofie or Zofia. Whatever her name is supposed to be. She tells me what purchases were made and what time (in UTC). Even after doing the math, figuring out what time that was, telling this Zofie person it wasn’t possibly me, explaining what I was doing at that time, and asking her to reverse the purchases she told me that I definitely made the purchases by accident and no they wouldn’t reverse it. Yeah...THAT’S amazing customer service!! Thanks a lot. Plus the game has been glitching on me for the last month. Won’t tell me what anyone’s score is (including my own high score) while I’m playing a level to get a better place. How am I supposed to know if I’m beating people when I can’t see any scores? But yeah, Zofie...you’re right...this game works perfectly and nothing could’ve ever been a mistake on the game’s end...thanks for all your help. Now watch how many times I spend my own money on this app again...
