Hello, smarty plants! Your zombie-zapping experience will get better with some behind-the-scenes updates and brain-picking improvements. As always, thanks for playing.
Plants vs. Zombies is a timeless masterpiece of the tower defense genre that remains as engaging today as it was at launch. The brilliance of the game lies in its perfect difficulty curve and its incredible personality. Each plant and zombie is bursting with character—from the stoic Wall-nut to the disco-dancing zombie. As an expert in strategy games, I find the resource management of 'Sun' to be elegantly simple yet strategically deep, forcing you to constantly weigh defense against production.
The variety of modes—including the main adventure, mini-games, and the zen garden—ensures that there is always something different to do. The mobile port is exceptionally polished, with touch controls that feel even more natural than mouse clicks. It’s a game that appeals to every demographic; children love the quirky art, while adults appreciate the deep tactical layering required for the endless 'Vasebreaker' or 'Survival' modes. It is, quite simply, a essential part of gaming history.
50 unique Adventure mode levels across day, night, and roof
Over 20 mini-games and puzzle challenges
Dozens of upgradeable plants and power-ups
Stunning and humorous character animations
Always start with at least two rows of Sunflowers. While it's tempting to start with Peashooters, having a strong sun economy is the only way to afford the 'expensive' plants like the Melon-pult in the final waves.
During night levels, standard Sunflowers are less effective. Use Sun-shrooms instead; they are cheaper and will eventually grow to produce the same amount of sun, allowing you to spend your early resources on defensive Puff-shrooms.
Yes, it is a lane-based tower defense game that requires careful resource management and tactical placement.
Plants versus zombies (PvZ) is a really fun game that most people should consider trying. Its a fun game where zombies are trying to invade your house and your plants are the only thing that can stop it. In the game, the goal is to obtain suns which can drop from the sky or can be spawned by a sunflower and use the suns to spawn in plants like the peashooter the ice pea shooter etc don’t let the zombies get past your plant defense or they will get to the lawn mower. The lawn mower is a one time use item that will kill everyone in that row If a zombie gets past and there is no lawnmower you lose. Lawn mowers spawn at the end of each row. There are many different types of zombies that have different abilities to help them beat you. There is 5 worlds and 10 levels in each world. 2 levels in each world are mini games which provide a fun challenge and a break from the main game. As you progress, you get more plants that you can use to beat the zombies. You have a limited amount of plants you can use for each level so be careful with your picks. The worlds usually have a challenge attached to them. For example, world two (Night time) provides you with the challenge of getting no suns from the sky and less suns from the sunflower, so your only sources of suns are mushrooms and sunflowers. PvZ is a single player 2d game that is a really fun game to play. You should totally consider trying the game out to see if you like it.
I really love this revolutionary game it is just that it has too many ads after each match I know I might sound picky but this the truth there is literally a ad after each match like not Get on you for anything but could there be maybe less adds I mean like come on are you kidding not that it is a bad game it’s just that there is a stupid add that can literally jump scare you after each match it is insane again like come on I love developers but could just please please tone down the ads please for me because I have been following you guys for years and could just change this one thing You guys have changed a lot over the years and I respect that if you could just have a add after 3 to 4 matches i would be so gratifying to see that a developer actually read and change the problems or ideas of people that play these games. So thank you Pop Cap for reading this I hope we could talk some time or meet in the future but for it’s time to end this review and move on to other things but I really thank you for everything that you have done in life in means a lot to me. For now it’s time to end this talk and move on. Ps. Thank you for all that you done again I could not thank you enough you brought a lot of joy into are hearts and it needs to stay that and also keep up the work and I hope we can me in the future. And anybody else that’s reading this still reading this good job for you, you deserve a shout out from both of us so be amazing people and this is queue. So have a great day and I will see you guys in the next one! And I’m talking to you to Pop Cap
I love playing this game it was so fun to beat. When I played this game when I was little I could not beat it so I deleted it . I think I did that because it was to hard to beat that dancing zombie. Now that I’m older I gave it one more try and I beat it. I was able to beat the dancing zombie now because I used the hypo shroom so I think that was my problem. I have three big problems with this now when I played back then I don’t think there was any ads but now there is a ad after I beat a level and a ad for a item. Why do you even have ads it just makes the game annoying Angry birds does not have ads so why can’t you I don’t mind the ad for the lawnmower. Also it would be great if I could pay to get rid of ads I will need to check if I can do that. My second problem is that the fog is more harder then the roof for some reason not counting the boss battle. It was so hard to beat level 4 of the fog I stoped playing for like 2 days then tried again and again and still could not beat it I was able to beat it with the help of my friend it took him a few tries before beating it. It was so hard because of the dolphin zombie and the ballon zombie. So mabey you can make the fog easy and not harder to beat them the roof. My last problem is not that important but I like the first game more then the second one the second one has so many zombies I can’t keep track of them same with the plants. I didn’t even want to finish it I hated it so much. The game is so fun it’s on my top 10 favorite game list. I love this game much more then angry birds that’s how fun it is.
First off, the actual gameplay of PvZ is awesome. It is very simple; defend your brains from the zombies by using a variety of weaponized plants. The creativity in this game is great from the different plants to the unique zombies, and having to continually adapt to the variety of different challenges keeps the gameplay fun and interesting. The problem, though, is the quantity of ads. I have no problems with having a few ads here and there in a FREE game, but there is an ad before and after every level as well as every time you go back to the home screen. This makes playing the game more tedious than it needs to be because of how many breaks there are in playing the actual game and navigating through the menus. Again, I have no problems having an ad every so often, but when you are spending more time watching ads more than playing the game, there is a problem that needs to be fixed. In addition, there are glitches in the game that cause the app to crash. So far, the only glitch I have seen is in the endless survival game mode. After reaching ten flags, the app crashed, I have not been able to continue in the game mode since. I also read other reviews where the game crashed while doing similar things like entering the shop or doing a challenge. To wrap up, the game itself is awesome however the amount of ads and the glitches are some serious problems that need to be fixed. I hope EA reads this.
This is an almost perfect port of PopCap’s PC game of the same name. In fact, in some regards, such as the level select screen, it’s actually better. However, I feel they could’ve done way better with the bonus game (The mobile version equivalent of wall-nut bowling & vase breaker) feature. For one thing, why do I have to watch an ad before playing a bonus game every time? If you’re going to force an ad, the least you could do is make it a shorter one than the ones we have to watch if we want bonus items (note: that does not mean I want the latter category of ads to be LONGER. Don’t twist my meaning). On top of that, wow I cannot say for certain, it felt like walnut bowling, at least, was more difficult then when I played on the PC earlier today. I only played once, but I got the distinct feeling the game was “deliberately“ is lining the zombies up so I couldn’t make more than a 3X combo. Maybe I’m just imagining that. Lastly, why can’t we pick which “bonus game“ minigame we get to play? We watch the ads and then don’t even get a say in what we play afterwards? That’s like going to the movies, paying admission, and then being told which movie you get to see! Seriously Electronic Arts? I know you’re a cold, distant corporate company, but could you at least try to be a little less cold & distant? All that said, if you don’t mind ads being shoved down your throat, this is definitely a must have game if you’ve ever been a fan of PVZ. It’s not perfect in the “these developers are a bit greedy” department, but otherwise it’s a great game and copies the winning formula from the PC version perfectly!
Plants Vs Zombies, one of my favorite game franchises of all time. While opinions of the 2nd game differ a lot, most of the majority agree the 1st was great. The greatness is still here, but after every single level, or after any push of a button while traversing the menu, an add plays. I can understand it, as Plants Vs Zombies is now free (there was 2 apps for the 1st game on mobile a few years ago; Plants Vs Zombies, which was free and add less, and PvZ free, which had adds.) Due to this, I’d suggest having WiFi turned off. It removes adds, like in PvZ2, but unlike PvZ2, this game doesn’t have arena or Penny’s Pursuit, or Piñata Parties, those 3 examples give you good reason to keep WiFi on. PvZ doesn’t have that, the only thing you’ll not be able to do is accidentally click on the explode o’ nut button while trying to shovel a plant, or have to option to watch an add for a free mini game. Asides from the app, PvZ is a phenomenal game with 100 levels (2 playthroughs of adventure, the second has different levels itself) tons of extra mini games which could be entirely different stuff, like Zombiquarium, or fun gimmicks on normal gameplay, and if that’s not enough, you have puzzles, which also have endless modes you can test your skill at. Along with survival which you can really get OP strats on, there is tons to do here. Plants vs Zombies is completely worth your time, and the adds are technically optional, it haven’t already, I’d suggest giving it a download; I bet you’d have fun.
I used to play Plants Vs. Zombies a few years back. I remember having fun, however I deleted the game somewhere along the way and reinstalled it recently. The home menu is an alright change but I personally prefer the original. May be nostalgia speaking however I played it on the DSi and on an old iPod and preferred those versions as there are a few prevalent changes I have come across so far. The shop doesn’t sell any upgraded versions of the plants you can purchase with coins to make a plant perform better. I haven’t beaten the game yet but as I see so far they’re non existent. They were pretty cool so I’m sad to see them go. The coffee bean is completely gone, taking away much of the challenge of the night time levels, back when I first played, most plants would fall asleep since they relied on the sun to stay awake, however now they’re always awake, even at night. For example, the sunflower being awake would be it sleeping at night when I first played. This takes away much of the challenge and I feel as if it is much more enjoyable with that inclusion. This affects the mushroom plants quite a bit as well since with no coffee bean, they’re essentially useless without the beans to wake them up during the day which could have helped you get some use out of them during the day but can now only stand around and look pretty. Bring back the coffee bean I beg of you!
I had a great time playing this game when it first came out. I still play it on my xbox every now and then. It hasn’t lost its ability to entertain and I still really enjoy the game itself. What bothers me so, however, is that it now features ads which I don’t remember were in the game when it was first released. After realizing that the game had these little annoying bugs I checked the App Store to see where I needed to go to buy the premium experience of not having to wait for these silly inconveniences between the levels. Then I checked every available option of the game, where I could not find said option. This is a frustrating and unwelcome update to a beloved game that hasn’t changed in years. I would have rather paid the $2.99 for the game itself than have to figure out where I needed to throw my money to get these thoughtless ads out of my phone for this particular app. The fact that I erased so many other apps to make room for this 100+MB game only to be disappointed by a “watch a video for a free ‘rake’” ad in the middle of gameplay is a tragedy. Game companies that produce wonderful works like this of course need to make money, but to require a purchase on a free game so that one won’t have to be interrupted by what’s been brought to it since the final update regarding the actual GAME itself is not what anybody wanted when they downloaded this. Other purchases regarding the currency in the game is fine and to be expected and not a new concept by any stretch of the imagination. This, however, is ridiculous.
