Terrific game, great support

I have been playing for about a month and a half and look forward to playing at least one round everyday - two crosswords and two logic crosswords. They also have a matching game for extra prizes. There’s a daily elimination trivia game with the option to watch an ad to continue on a wrong answer. I had to use it on the final round, but the ad crashed the game. I contacted support through the game, and they responded within an hour with compensation. I find the mandatory ads to be minimal, but I like being able to choose to watch ads for clues, boosters, or extra chances. It’s one of the few games for which I would consider purchasing the remove ads package. Thanks, y’all.

Fun game, but the ADS MAN

This is a fun game, and I downloaded it for the logic puzzles part, not the crossword part. The crosswords are fairly easy, it claims I’m solving them quicker than 90-95% of other players, so that easy. The logic puzzles are a bit more challenging, makes you think a little bit, which is great. I got to level 22 of logic before I had a repeat puzzle, so that was disappointing. But the ads are what’s killing me. It’s okay to have a free-to-play game supported by ads, but these ads are super long, and multiple pages where it forces you to the AppStore, which is too aggressive, imo. So many long video ads that it actually pulls down the battery life of my tablet after just a few minutes of playing. Ads between each round. Ads to get a hint. Ads to save yourself if you make a mistake. I’ve reached a trivia level now, 7 questions, an ad in between EACH question. You play 20 seconds of game and watch 2 minutes of ad. I play other F-t-P games that have no ads, but are actually worth spending money on, I think I’ll just stick with those, but this was a good day-long time waster.

Just Meh

I enjoyed it until the minor flaws got old. Would have been tremendously better: 1) without the animations, with 2) even slightly better grammar, and 3) without the constant pluralization. You’re timed on completion. Okay. But then there are these indulgent animations that make you stop in the middle of spelling a word. When can you start again? Who knows! You also can’t type “over” existing letters - suppose the word is chimney, but the “i” and “n” are already in place, you’d better spell it “chmey”. Okay, but awkward. Nearly everything is plural, even if it doesn’t make sense for it to be. And lastly, grammar! Hint: Not having the adventurous. So it apparently means “calms”, but why is “having” part of the hint, and why is it plural? Most of the words are elementary school level, so I guess they make it harder with poorly written hints. Lots of tiny words, so they make them a smidge longer by pluralizing with “s” or “es” or such?? Oh and lots of the answers are multiple words when a better answer would have been a single word from a slightly more advanced reading level. I don’t know if this was a conscious choice or if the developers were non-native speakers.

Far too many errors

The poor grammar and spelling on the crossword puzzles is bad enough, but when your logic game specifically tells you the answer for a specific cell, and when you finally give up, and watch another two minute long ad for the game to populate the answer, and it’s not even a word that fits the topic, not to mention so far away from the hint given, it’s really beyond annoying. And please pick a single version of the English language. The bouncing from American English to British English and back again is far more distracting than the animations. And please hire a fluent English speaker to write these clues and hints, because mismatched tenses, and lack of proper articles of speech gets very old. As do the several minutes long ads we are subjected to throughout the gameplay. If the rest wasn’t so poorly done, I might be convinced to pay to stop forced ads, but I’m not spending money on you when you can’t be bothered too spend money on your game. I expect I’ll be deleting this game soon. If I could give less than one star I would.

If You’re Smart, Get A Different Game

The crossword section doesn’t let you finish spelling out some of the words. The logic puzzles still only use the word ‘column’. I haven’t even seen the mention of a ‘row’ on the clues. There’s a review from August 30th about the same issue. The developer replied September 3rd. Here we are on February 16th and it’s still an issue. Now I’m losing puzzles because the developer doesn’t know the difference between a row and a column. How am I solving a puzzle by someone less intelligent than me? There are plenty of other crossword and logic style puzzles in the store. Don’t bother downloading this one. The developer only cares about ad revenue. It’s a way for them to make money and not something they actually enjoy doing. And you’ll encounter an ad after every puzzle which only takes 2 seconds to complete, so you don’t even get to enjoy the game before it’s throwing an ad in your face. 1 Star because I can’t select 0 stars.

Great game

I got this game today playing it on and off all evening. After going to bed I woke and couldn’t go back to sleep so I decided I would play it a bit. I’m in the middle of a round, an ad popped up over bottom half of my keyboard. I’ve tried to x out of the add, let it play and neither works. It’s still there. This upsets me when I find a game I really like but can’t play it due to an ad. I understand ads pop up at the end of a round but this is while playing and it’s a small pop up. It covers the whole bottom row of my keys and I can’t slide it to another area. I’m really bummed but have to delete the game. This needs to be fixed somehow.

Good game. But the pop ups GO INSANE. I just want to press play and start my game but I can’t do that peacefully when THERE ARE FOUR POP UP THINGS BACK TO BACK. it was fine when I first started playing. I maybe would get one pop ups, and I’m not referring to pop up ads. Your ads aren’t the issue here thankfully. But I’m talking about the “start this random competition thing we have” and it’s like 4 different pop ups. Either give a setting to be able to turn them off, or just put your competitive things in a different category and just show the pop ups that it’s off to the side if someone ever wants to do an event thing. I don’t need to be reminded every time I try opening the app. Or after EVERY SINGLE GAME. I PROMISE I AM NOT FORGETTING THAT YOU HAVE AN EVENT COMPETITION HAPPENING I AM JUST CHOOSING TO NOT PARTICIPATE. PLEASE CHILL OUT WITH YOUR POP UP SUGGESTIONS THANK YOU.

This game is great. However, whomever they got writing clues for this game is either too young to be using some of the words in this game or is playing a joke on you as a player and they know it. One clue was “Home of the Gulf State Park”. How would anyone outside of that state know which state in the USA that houses that park. Also, some clues have better words associated with the clues than the word they are meant to hint towards and it’s very confusing. The graphics are great, the themed words are kind of fun, and it’s overall a solid effort. Unfortunately, the wording is off just enough that I couldn’t handle the ridiculous wording and have chosen to delete the app. If they ever decide to correct those hints or find someone with a better understanding of the words they are using, I might pick it back up. Until then, DELETED!!
