Minor bug fixes.
Blood Card is a brutal and brilliant twist on the roguelike deckbuilder. The core mechanic—your deck is your life—is a stroke of genius. Every time you take damage, you lose cards. When you run out of cards, you die. This creates a fascinating tension where every card draw is a risk-reward calculation.
The art style is dark and moody, fitting the high-stakes gameplay. It’s significantly more difficult than Slay the Spire or other contemporaries because you have a 'Death' figure literally chasing you through the map. If you take too long to finish a floor, Death arrives, and the fight becomes almost impossible. It's a stressful, exhilarating, and highly replayable card game.
Innovative 'Deck is Life' gameplay mechanic
Over 200 unique cards and 40+ events
Procedurally generated maps for infinite replayability
Distinct characters with unique playstyles
Because cards are health, avoid 'thinning' your deck too much. While a small deck is usually good in this genre, here it makes you fragile. Focus on cards that 'Exhaust' rather than ones that discard to stay alive longer.
Death appears after a set number of turns in each battle. You don't always have to kill your opponent; sometimes the best strategy is to defend and wait for an opening to escape the encounter before Death strikes.
Defeating Death is extremely difficult but rewards you with a legendary relic and a massive boost to your score.
Amazing concept, with very creative gameplay. One of my favorite games on mobile. Similar to Slay the Spire in concept, but the actual game strategy is very different. Feels to me like a combination of all the best parts of different card games. Well worth the money. I also really appreciate the developer having an upfront cost instead of ads, which I know can be a hard decision with the ad-infested modern age we live in. Props to the developer for this extremely creative game. I’m surprised more people haven’t heard of this game. I would recommend updating the app icon image, or maybe some of the menu screens in the game? It just seems very much like an old flash game kind of vibe, which takes away from the wonderful pixel art in my opinion. I think more people would look into the game if it had a flashier app icon. Just some of my two cents on the matter.
Not just another StS clone. If you like Card Quest and others like it, this is another great addition to your card game collection. My only issue is sometimes I hit the close app bar when trying to grab cards.
Graphics are great, cards are just like most other card battlers, which familiarity is good, some unique experiences in there. Taking the RNG out of the run by having the user select what to go to next takes a Lot of the fun out of it unfortunately, that should be a rare pick up item that lets you choose 1 or 2 moves. The real killer of fun to the game is the death mechanic, like why is that even a thing. “Hey lets make a game that is a turn based card battler which people will love, but only let them have a few moves before we just eat away at their HP for no apparent reason other than we made a cool death animation.” This game could be great if it wasn’t for those few mechanics.
Very fun and unique card roguelike
Most titles just take the concept of the slay sppire and copy but this is different and I like u guys we should.hang out
Where is my health bar/amount indicated?
This game will not load on my iPhone 6, even though it says it is compatible. You should not be allowed to sell it to phones that it will not work on. Waste of $1.
