This update fixes aim and controls issues reported by some players as well as several other bug fixes.
Ball X Pit is a satisfying arcade game that relies on physics and timing. Players drop balls from the top of a peg-filled board, hoping to land them in high-value pits at the bottom. The game introduces various elements like rotating gears, teleporters, and multipliers that can drastically change the ball's path. With dozens of unlockable ball skins and challenging 'Mission' stages, it’s a perfect game for short bursts of fun.
The 'just one more turn' feeling is very strong here. Even though there is a large element of luck involved, the ability to time your drops and the inclusion of various power-ups give you just enough control to feel like you're improving. The daily missions provide a good reason to log in every day, and the global leaderboards add a nice competitive edge. It’s a clean, well-made arcade title that takes a classic concept and polishes it to a high shine.
Satisfying Physics
Dozens of Ball Designs
Challenging Mission Mode
Daily Bonus Spins
The launcher moves side-to-side. Release the ball just as the launcher reaches the far edges to maximize the chance of hitting the x10 multiplier pits.
Catch the 'Green Star' mid-drop to split your ball into three. This is the fastest way to clear 'Fill the Pit' missions.
You can compete for the top spot on the global daily leaderboards, though there is no direct real-time PvP.
This game is great. There are a ton of characters that unlock as you play and I love how they each can dramatically change how the game is played. I also really appreciate the level variety. I have played many rogue-likes and one of my complaints of those (like slay the spire for example) is a lack of this. I just wanted to note there are no in-app purchases except to buy the full game. (I was a little worried when I saw the label for in-app purchases.) Hope you don’t mind if I make a suggestion: could you try to implement an alternative (optional) control scheme for play with just a single finger? Aiming could be done by pressing on the field where you want to aim, and to move the character, you could just press the character and drag (they would follow where you drag based on their current move speed). This would especially help with a couple characters that i found difficult to control (such as the juggler) and be more mobile/casual friendly. Thank you for making an awesome game!
This is a game that was originally designed for and released on other platforms and was ported to iOS, the touch controls work ok but controller works a lot better. This is not a phone game, it’s a real game that was ported to phone, if that makes sense. If you don’t plan on using a controller, the touch controls are a bit clunky, but I wouldn’t say it’s unplayable by any means. If you have a console controller or a mobile controller laying around, get ready for a really awesome game that’s definitely worth the cost
I was extremely excited for this mobile port as I preordered it and everything. I have gotten 5-6 hours on the pc version but stopped playing it because I was just too busy. Going into this games release I was really hoping that it would have an option for keyboard and mouse like aiming on mobile rather than controller like aiming. It’s rather annoying to manually aim the reticle and then move your finger over to the fire button. I would’ve appreciated it if there was an option an aiming mode where the reticle follows your finger across the top part of the screen. Crossing my fingers that the devs see this and one day patch this in (not sure if this would be a terribly hard change to make or not). But for right now I wouldn’t recommend this port if you’re used to the keyboard and mouse controls on pc.
I’ve played this death on PC and was super excited to play on mobile. And while the great game play loop,is still there, the mobile controls for aiming are just ok. You fine tune the sensitivity which helps, but ultimately can get you into a bad spot. For me there is major sound bug, where there is no sound until you start a level and then has a weird atmospheric music overlayed the game music. Also the mobile left stick seems to jump to a new place after a level up. I hope the controls improve and the bugs are fixed, because this would be a great game to take on the go.
It’s a pretty fun game and honestly probably worth the $9.99 price tag. Playing the trial version alone I’m having a lot of fun with it and can see the unlimited combo possibilities with builds and characters. Art style and music are really good. I highly recommend playing it since you can try it for free and there are no ads. If you follow the $1 per hour rule you will definitely get your moneys worth with well over 10 hours of play.
The game's concept is excellent; the dungeon with base building, multiple heroes, and leveling up looks great. The visuals are pleasant, albeit a bit too bland. The gameplay is the main draw, and it's terrible. You need to aim, move, and shoot with different buttons, while simultaneously maneuvering to catch your main orb to increase damage and collecting loose orbs and coins to level up your hero. It's just awful, what prevented you from aiming and shooting with a single button—aiming, releasing, or simply pressing the button if your crosshair is in the right place? This leaves time for maneuvering and collecting crystals. Overall, no thanks, I definitely won't be buying this. There are similar games where the developers themselves played and understood the project's weaknesses.
I am blown away by this game. It is soooo much fun. Its random and chaotic gameplay already gives it replayability but there is progression and unlocks as well that make it even more enjoyable and consistently exctiting. I Love that you can check out the first level before deciding to buy the full game which I obviously felt was well worth it. I have never written a review for any game ever, but this game is so cool I wanted to.
Don’t play this game if have plans or things to get done because you will blink twice and it’ll be 3 in the morning. It’s a multi-layered, fun, and highly addictive game with surprisingly deep build-crafting. I bought it for Switch 2 and had to buy it again for mobile to support the amazing team behind it. You won’t regret buying and sinking hours into this game!
