74/100

Venue is a solid entry into the 'room design' subgenre of puzzle games. It’s very similar to games like Design Home, but it feels a bit more accessible and less focused on high-end brand partnerships. The puzzles are essentially 'find the right furniture' to match a specific aesthetic, and it's a great outlet for creative expression.

The graphics are crisp, and the lighting in the rendered rooms is quite impressive for a mobile title. While there are some energy mechanics that might slow you down if you're trying to binge-play, it's perfect for someone who wants to spend 15 minutes a day making a virtual living room look beautiful.

WONDERFUL Design App Created With the Average User in Mind!
Sun Jun 29 2025 Tallulah F

I really enjoy design- related apps, as it’s a great opportunity to exercise my creativity in a way that is relaxing. In the past, however, I have deleted all of these types of apps, because either they had an abundance of annoying ads, you had to play other games in order to earn points to be able to keep designing, or otherwise it was just too hard to earn coins or other credit. I am not one that is going to spend actual money to earn rewards, so it’s not enjoyable to have an app that lets you do so little otherwise— or without getting angry at the app itself. 😒 I’ve also seen other apps that are just plain confusing to navigate, which makes no sense to me whatsoever. On the contrary, Venue is super easy to use, incredibly fun, and completely easy to keep playing without interruption (by ads, insufficient coins, etc). I just found this a few days ago, and I am pleasantly addicted. I can’t believe that an app like this actually exists, and I am genuinely so impressed and so grateful!

Fun - flaws and expensive

This is a fun game to design rooms. There are three main problems. First, the description does not always match the picture of the item. When you select that item, the color that appears on the screen is different than the color swatch that you see when selecting your choices. The second problem is glitches in the system. They will have special events where you need to spend a certain number of coins or vote on so many designs, etc. I found that you don’t always get credit for what you do. The third problem is that you use more coins and diamonds than you ever collect. Obviously it’s a game and the developer wants to make money so they put together special bundles for a fee. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on gaming when it’s just a way to relax. Most games will give you the option to watch ad videos to get more diamonds or coins. There’s only two areas where you can do that in this game. It reaches a point where it’s no longer fun. You don’t have enough points to create the design that looks good. Other players vote on designs and you earn diamonds/coins. Because you had to use only items that you could afford, you get a low score so you don’t earn very much. It becomes an ongoing spiral of poor designs, nobody votes for you, you don’t earn coins/diamonds, you just run out of money. That’s too close to real life to be any fun.

Venue: Relaxing Design Game offers an immersive experience with its amazing graphics and engaging gameplay. This game is easy to understand and play, making it accessible to a wide audience. One of the most appealing aspects of Venue is the absence of ads, providing a seamless and uninterrupted design experience. The game allows players to unleash their creativity by designing and creating various spaces. You can experiment with different layouts, furniture, and decor to bring your design visions to life. The visual appeal of the game is enhanced by its stunning graphics, which create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. However, there is a notable drawback: the game occasionally glitches, causing players to get stuck within the app. This requires users to restart the application to continue playing. Despite this issue, the overall experience remains positive due to the game's creative freedom, beautiful visuals, and ad-free environment. If the glitches were resolved, Venue: Relaxing Design Game would be a near-perfect gameplay experience.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!!

this game is LITERALLY the best!!!!! i have always wanted a decorating game where i didn’t have to play match levels in order to get coins or gems or whatever. venue was and is right up my alley!!! if you’re interested in designing and feel the same way i do about levels, GET VENUE!!!!!!!!! i have no complaints about it at all!! i’m not forced to pay for anything with real money, there’s no glitches in the game, and no pop up ads! i detest constant ads and i have never seen one interrupt me in the game. it’s an option to watch an ad to get double coins or just get 1000. however, i do have a suggestion: can yall design a way for me to earn more coins? like every 30 minutes or something decorate a bonus tiny room or something? that would make the game even better! but thank yall veryyy much for designing venue!! i love it….it’s absolutely awesome!! yall have a very satisfied player lol 🤪

Great game, but…

I’ve really been enjoying the creativity of decorating spaces. It’s fun, relaxing and appeals to my creative side. BUT… your choices are somewhat limited and more so if you don’t have enough coins or gems (or don’t wish to part with so many at one shot). Plus your designs are supposedly voted on by others who also play and that determines how many coins/gems you get as a reward. Even if all your designs are 5 star, you’re STILL putting out more than what you get in return, a LOT more… So what do you do if you want to keep playing? Well, you start pouring real money into the game to keep playing. And you can spend a good deal. In two days of playing (for the first time), I’ve already spent $14! That may not seem like a lot, but just to play a game for TWO DAYS?! And I wasn’t playing for long periods, either! I’m smelling a company that knows how to hook people with a great game so they can gain a ton in revenue. I’m doubtful that I’ll continue playing, it’s just not worth the spending I’ll have to constantly do in order to play. It’s a shame, really, because it is a great game. I just don’t feel like wasting so much money on it.

Great Game however..

I had a LOT of fun first downloading this game because it gives you a big lump some of coins to start with. It has great options and is very relaxing. My biggest gripe is that after you use up the initial coins given at the start, you don’t really receive enough to keep playing levels afterwards. I have to wait and wait to spin the wheel every few hours to earn enough coins to play 1 level. Even then, I have to budget myself because I have limited coins and can’t select everything I want, resulting in not so good ratings and even less coins earned. I understand needing profit, maybe upping the value in gems and being more gracious with coins? At this point it’s literally impossible to play without spending money, and that’s a shame because I had so much fun playing!! Really hope this issue is resolved because I was really excited to find a design game you didn’t have to pay to win, but at this rate it seems impossible to play more than 1 level per day, that you really don’t even get to design how you want due to very limited coins.

Fun, but limited

For context, I have spent four years playing the design game Redecor, but since being purchased by Playtika, the gambling tactics and pop-ups are driving me away. I had just dealt with the last 4th or 5th pop-up in a row too many times! Their tactics are driving me away. so somebody suggested I try this game. On the plus side: it’s cheaper and easier to play. There’s not nearly as many pop-ups, and the emphasis is on “the game” not so much on the gambling and pushing users towards addictive behavior. On the negative side: there are FAR too few design options! The templates come with much of the background items and colors pre-installed (you can’t change them) many of the structural/template items cannot be changed. And the inventory that you’re allowed to choose from is extremely limited - not just in structure, but in colors. For example, all of the inventory items for a particular item choice (or even an entire template) will be either pink and yellow and beige… and nothing else. Let’s say I want something to be black or brown or shiny metal… there is no option for that. In Redecor, the player has hundreds of colors to choose from! So the ability to personalize your design is infinitely larger. That said, I bought a monthly “season” pass and I’ll play out the month, and I might play out another month or two. But I can see that, unless it’s developed a lot more than it is now, I will tire of it and move on.

Fun for the busy

This game has been enjoyable for me so far, due to the simple fact that I only have a few minutes to spare here and there, where I get to enjoy interior design. Where real life may not allow us the time or money, this game provides opportunities to use high class materials, furniture and decorations to make a space beautiful. That being said, one of the reasons this game is more quick is because the options for use are more limited. Which is great on the one hand for people that take longer to make design decisions, but on the other hand, I haven't been able to follow the prompts as closely as I would like. For example, one prompt asked for a farmhouse look in their bathroom and usually I would pick, white painted wood or galvanized steel, but neither of those options were offered.
