Our Expert Score

79/100

Glow Fashion Idol is a vibrant, social-focused dress-up game that taps into the 'influencer' culture with a lot of charm. Unlike traditional fashion games that are purely about aesthetics, Glow adds a layer of competitive 'idolatry' where you must style outfits to match specific themes and gain followers. The art style is bright, neon-infused, and very modern, which helps it stand out in a crowded genre.

The depth of the wardrobe is staggering. From high-fashion evening gowns to trendy streetwear, the combinations are almost infinite. What I found most compelling was the community voting system. After submitting an outfit, other players vote on your style, which determines your rank on the leaderboards. It creates a genuine sense of community and friendly competition. While there are microtransactions for the rarest items, the game is generous with its daily rewards, making it accessible for casual fashionistas.

Dislike the portrayal of black characters
Mon Aug 24 2026 Prediinikki

I really enjoy the concept of Glam and the styling aspect of the game, but there is one thing that has been bothering me enough that I feel it needs to be addressed. I’ve noticed a repeated pattern with the dark-skinned Black female character. Almost every time she appears, she is portrayed as sassy, demanding, having an attitude, or being unnecessarily difficult. She is often introduced as a high-profile client who needs to look polished, but the interactions themselves rarely feel warm or respectful, and even her compliments when leaving tend to come across as backhanded or condescending. What makes this especially noticeable is that the other female characters seem to have much more variety in their personalities, stories, relationships, and struggles. They aren’t repeatedly reduced to the same stereotype. I understand that characters can have different personalities and that a confident or demanding character isn’t automatically a problem, but when the same traits are repeatedly attached to the dark-skinned Black woman, it becomes difficult not to see the stereotype behind the writing. Representation matters, especially in a game where players are interacting with these characters repeatedly. I would really like to see this character given more depth, warmth, and personality beyond the “sassy Black girl” trope. I genuinely enjoy the game, which is why I hope the developers take this criticism seriously and consider giving her the same range and complexity they give the other characters.

One thousand stars: better than project makeover

Before I start yapping the simple message is simply JUST GET THE GAME. Me and my sister have been searching for a game that has the same fashion mechanics and cool stories as project makeover since we really enjoyed the game’s stories and the glow up of the clients. Unfortunately we could not continue due to us being preeettty terrible at matching puzzle games. This game provides intricate stories and gameplay with different clients without the puzzle mechanic (perfect for those who love project makeover or are looking for a fashion game where you can choose the perfect outfit and makeup 💄 for your client and build up reputation. All of the other fashion games we have played have either 1. Had too much ads and not enough ways to gain coins or gems needed to buy outfits, 2. Had an annoying mechanic such as where you may buy an outfit but once you dress one or two clients in the outfits you may have to buy the outfit again in quantity like the real life (I usually again do not have enough in game coins to entertain this nonsense)😡😤, 3. Pay to stay games. This game provides none of these annoying pet peeves and the gameplay is very smooth with no bugs and overall amazing. 🤩 It provides many opportunities to get coins and if you do not like competitions you can just continue the actual story to get coins as well. This is a great game 👍💕.

Love this game, but here is a suggestion

I love this game so much. I’ve been playing it for two years now I think it’s been my go to game and I can just go back-and-forth to it if I stop playing and then I can come back to it and start in the same spot which is nice. I enjoy the fact that I barely spent any real money on this game like other fashion games I’ve had and I actually achieved more on this game than the other games by spending less money on here. The fact that we have options to watch ads to get more gems that are hard to come by and watch ads for coins. The fact that after every mission you can, double the rewards really into this game more than other ones when you choose to watch and add otherwise there are no un interrupting, ignoring ads while playing the game. The one suggestion I wish that could be in Glow would be if we can see the other contestants outfits as well as ours when we get the results back for each contest. Because a girl really be forgetting the outfits I’ll be making like why did I get number one for this one but why did I get first place for this one? It be really cute to see other people’s outfits too and what they put together when they win. I like the fact that we can have friends on here now too, what if there was a place where we can see the outfits that we “post” after certain missions and be able to see our friends too? Otherwise, this game gets me addicted every time I start playing again. Another suggestion is can we please please please add tights and socks to the accessories because all I see is that we’re wearing shoes without socks like the sneakers. Plus, it would make the outfits more fun and cute to wear.

Loving this game!! Also got a few questions please and thank you

This really is one of my favorite dress up games in years. I really enjoy the animation and though I do skip the talking bits most of the time I love all the different clients and stories and backgrounds for them. It’s all very well done. And the constant events make it so I’m never bored and there’s always something to do or earn. So far not sure how many levels total there are but I cannot see the end which is great cause I’ve maxed out of the leveling up on several other games and then left with nothing else to do but idle around. Im currently on level 69 and have been playing for a while now and haven’t needed to spend any real money to enjoy it and still get access to quite a bit of neat outfits and accessories! I don’t mind watching adds for extra coins and stuff when needed and I appreciate not having pop up adds randomly. It’s also pretty easy to navigate and play 👍 Some of the missions are a little more difficult if you don’t have the specific requirements and need to purchase them with coins or diamonds. But it doesn’t take too long to get there with a few adds or event missions. Q: I am confused on how some players get fun hair colors that are blue green purple etc. Am I not at a high enough level yet or is a pay for thing ? And if it’s pay for how do I access that ? I’d happily pay to have access to fun hair colors. Q: And how do you make your character plus size ? Or was that in the beginning when originally designing your character ? Apologies for the long review I just adore this game and had a few questions that I couldn’t find answers to online. Thank you for your time and the amazing game 🙏❤️

BEST FASHION GAME EVERRRR

Honestly I can’t even begin to describe how much joy & excitement this game brings me! I have been looking for a fashion game just like this & it’s perfect!! You can neverrrr be poor, haha, which is the best thing :). I also love how they added the feature to design rooms, like can it get any better?! Plus you get to compete with others & rate their fashion. I literally want to get each piece of clothing, shoe, jewelry, & hair because the quality of each design is insane & gorgeous. I’m barely in level 60 & im scared of this game finishing because I know I won’t find another like it lol. 💕 Also, If I could recommend some things for this game it would just be to please create a contest where we are able to use our purses, I have sooo many cute ones & would love to put them to more use aside from the storylines! & also one BIG thing is I would love if we were given the option to have more avatars to choose from (I believe we have to get to a certain to level achieve this from what I have noticed but would love it if we could get the option before reaching a certain level) . Aside from that, great job on this game, keep it up cause it’s loved by myself, & many others. I honestly don’t know how it’s not #1 yet. Thank you💄! Xoxo

Great but…

Well this is just Super Stylist upgraded I guess. I love the concept of the game, it’s very entertaining but the ads make me not want to play. It is a choice to view them but you’ll realize very quickly you will need to watch them to get the coins or diamonds needed to purchase items unless you’re willing to spend real money. Why can’t games just be games like they used to be? I would be willing to pay a flat fee for the game but it’s free with annoyances instead. Which brings me to my second point this game is a complete money grab I mean the ads to purchase fashion packs stay on screen and these are NOT cheap packs. You can easily spend upwards of $100 or more trying to get full collections. I really like the game but I will be playing this super casually just based on mentioned above. Update: I uninstalled the game because the fact you purchase items but then the said items need powered up, which you pay for, in order to win challenges. You will get stuck on a level because you don’t have a piece of clothing you need and it cost diamonds you don’t have. There are so many other style games out there that don’t try to bleed you dry just to enjoy a casual game. Not relaxing or fun just frustrating. The developers always give those lame robotic responses to players that mention these flaws which tells me they have no intention of fixing. Another game that will eventually go to the graveyard.

Such a fun game.

I got this game four days ago, and I love it. I played quite a few “dress up“ style games, so I can be pretty picky about getting a new one. I’m generally looking for good graphics and an interesting storyline, and I’ve been worn out by more than one game having a stylist that’s also a detective or something ridiculous— it’s really nice that you are a stylist and nothing much more, because it means that the game can focus on the strengths of the wardrobes and the animations. if you are tired of games constantly paywalling you out of nice items and nagging for microtransactions, you’ll be thrilled to know that this game is completely playable as a free player. Yes, there are certain wardrobes you won’t be able to get, but with a fair amount of patience, you can build up currency to get most items in the game, which is refreshing. I also very much appreciate the long 3C curls and wavy styles available for our character— far too many dress-up games completely neglect ethnic or curly hairstyles in favor of straight, flowing hair, which is a lovely style, but not representative of many women’s hair. And I love that there is a bigger model— now if only I could figure out how to HAVE the bigger model for my character :(

Few tweaks and it’ll be perfect

This game is great! I love that there are no ads unless you want a reward. The game is actually playable without having to spend a fortune of your real money to progress. Please allow us to change the body type. I see different shapes when voting in contests but I can’t change my avatar body shape. It would also be nice to have filters and subfilters for the items that meet the bonus criteria during gameplay. I’m always wishing I could see what I styled for the contests at the end so having a photo or a playback or an archive would be a nice touch. It would also be nice to know how many bonus points you’ll get before submitting. There’s times my bonus items receive 3000+ bonus and other times I won’t even get 1000 bonus despite my items meeting the max bonus count of 10. When my items aren’t upgraded enough I usually have to just throw on the item with the highest points even if it doesn’t necessarily compliment the look I’m going for so that takes some of fun and creativity out of the gameplay. Also, please add more pose options for the contest. Overall I’m addicted to this game and look forward to playing the future versions
