Vanished: Puzzle Quest does an excellent job of elevating the saturated match-3 genre by tying every single puzzle board directly into a compelling narrative mystery. The moody, gothic-adjacent art design instantly sets an unsettling atmosphere, and the character writing keeps you genuinely curious about what happened to the missing townspeople. Instead of matching candy just for points, clearing a difficult board rewards you with a piece of evidence that moves the plot forward.
The puzzle design itself is highly refined, offering clever unique mechanics like expanding fog tiles that you must clear away with matches. The visual novel presentation style during interviews is top-tier, featuring great atmospheric music. It does utilize a standard mobile energy system that limits your total consecutive playtime unless you wait or pay, but the strength of its story makes it a highly premium, standout puzzle adventure.
Engaging detective storyline filled with surprising narrative twists
Hundreds of complex match-3 stages with unique board mechanics
Powerful investigatory boosters and puzzle combos to unlock
Interact with a mysterious cast of voice-acted town suspects
Beautifully illustrated visual-novel style story segments
Look for matches of four or five items to generate specialized shockwave and bomb crystals. Always focus on clearing the specific objective tiles listed at the top of your interface—such as breaking through stone blocks to reveal hidden clues—rather than just matching random colors blindly.
Players swap adjacent magical tiles to form rows of three or more identical shapes. Successful puzzle completions grant investigation stars, which are spent to interview town suspects, open locked containers, and advance the overarching story script.
Yes, you can access the investigator log book from the main menu to reread unlocked dialogue scenes and review gathered clues.
This game is really really good overall….those who played resident evil game franchise, alan wake, silent hill series and from many other game where those puzzle section were so deep, fun, intense as well as The Vanished Puzzel Quest …you should play especially for those who don’t usually play games on phones but yes that is a really pretty good game with cool aesthetic design/gfx effects
When I was young I used to play role playing games requiring IQ stimulation. This game teaches, engages, forces the player to think, calculate, helps to trouble shoot through situations. Great graphics and no adds. Didn’t think such pure content existed today. Not to mention it helps learn an essential era of history, the golden Islamic age that people must know about. Thank you!
I am 9 years old and my brother is 6 years old. We really enjoyed playing Vanished Puzzle Quest from the first chapter to the last. We were sad when the game ended. Please make more games like this!
This is an intelligent game in the style of “House of Da Vinci.” The art is beautiful. The storyline is enjoyable. There is a great hint system and the game was a pleasure to play. That doesn’t seem to happen much anymore. Many thanks to the team who created this wonderful game.
I fell in love with this game from the opening credits…amazing graphics with historically accurate scientific objects & engaging puzzles! A lovely glimpse into an overlooked past civilization which deserves to be celebrated all over the world…especially in the West.
I really enjoyed playing this game. I fished it in 2 weeks. Still i am thinking it finished soon. Waiting for more seasons. Developers have done a great job.
This game is very soothing and pulls you in while being very informative. Bravo! Wish we could have the screen flip 180 degrees, but otherwise, love it!
Graphics 10/10 - has a feel of an escape room mystery. Puzzles are great, cultural theming is on point. Great game for any age - recommend 10+ for individual play the puzzles are challenging.
