Unicycle Hero is a wonderfully absurd physics-based sports game that will make you laugh and scream in equal measure. The premise is simple: perform Olympic-style events—like javelin throw, shot put, and weightlifting—all while balancing on a unicycle. The controls are intentionally clunky, which is where the comedy and the challenge come from. Trying to build momentum for a throw without tipping over is a balancing act that requires a surprisingly light touch.
The game doesn't take itself seriously, and that's its biggest strength. The pixelated crowd, the wobbly animations, and the sheer ridiculousness of the situations make it a great casual experience. It’s reminiscent of games like QWOP or Bennett Foddy’s work, where the struggle against the controls is the actual gameplay. It's frustrating in the best way possible, and beating your personal best in the 'Professional' league is a genuine badge of honor.
Hilarious physics-based sports mechanics.
Wide variety of 'Olympic' events to compete in.
Quirky pixel art and sound effects.
RPG-style skill upgrades for your hero.
Multiple leagues with increasing difficulty.
Challenging and rewarding gameplay loop.
Use the on-screen buttons to tilt your unicycle forward and backward. The key to success is maintaining your center of gravity while preparing for a throw. Tap the action button to build power, but be careful—the more power you apply, the harder it is to stay upright!
Participate in different events like the Shot Put, Hammer Throw, and Long Jump. Each requires a different balance of speed and stability. Use the coins you earn to upgrade your strength and balance stats to tackle the harder leagues.
Try to build up your speed while leaning slightly back, then tap the throw button at the peak of your momentum to get the best angle.
This game. This game RIGHT HERE is one of if not the best video game NO the best piece of Digital Media ever produced by humans. It is just breathtakingly brilliant, it’s flawless, if this game was a person it would be if Gandhi and Mother Teresa had a baby and that baby rode a unicycle. I don’t know if it is or not but this game should be on console and PC because it would surely win game of the year multiple years in a row. This game makes every horrible horrific thing happening on this earth and just makes a tiny bit better. My life has changed for the better playing this game. IM SO HAPPY NOW! I want every single person who worked on this game to get a Nobel Peace Prize because this game has CLEARLY shown itself to be one of the most beneficial things humanity has been so graciously given. Every person in the world should play this game. This game is not a 10/10 it’s an 11/10 because it’s literally broken the scale at which greatness is measured. I love you Unicycle Hero.
This app works in landscape view, but it frequently plays advertisements in portrait view. When ads (which are shown mid-game) end, they leave the landscape-intended game in portrait mode, making it unplayable. Edit: for your response and courtesy, dev, I’m gonna change review to 4 stars just because I think you deserve better. Edit 2: Good for you, you fixed the problem! 5 stars.
This is a great concept, timely due to the winter olympics. This game is simple, yet makes you incredibly addicted because you keep believe you’ll beat your personal best score. Two suggestions for a future update. First we need more games, maybe a Winter Olympics, or simply other Olympic type games. Second, it would be cool if we could see the top scores for other players so that we not only compete with ourselves but others.
Been playing this game a lot recently and I got a bunch of new high scores (personal bests?) but after the update they’re gone. This happened for a few individual events and my overall score which is 1000 points lower than what is was before the update. Still a fantastic game that everyone should have. Also the game only shows your highest score now and personally, I liked when it showed your top three.
Unicycle hero was a very interesting game yet. It is quite entertaining and difficult. But it’s not too difficult, I love how the game works, and the fact that you can ‘enhance’ different factors such as how fast do pedal how hard you throw and your agility. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a good as long as it’s not that hard also, the commentators are pretty funny
It’s just a fun game that can get fairly frustrating. Not “smash your phone to bits” level - but pretty frustrating at times. But it doesn’t take itself seriously and so you never really get mad - you just keep trying. And that’s great. But after you’ve enhanced yourself to the top levels, it gets stale. And that can happen after just a couple of days. So I can’t give 5 stars for that reason but it’s absolutely worth having on your phone.
I very much enjoy playing this game. Sadly though I quickly maxed out all the upgrades available which leaves me really with nothing else to do. I wish there were more events to enjoy. I do hope that sometime in the future you add different characters maybe with special powers to enhance your throw distance or speed? I also hope that you add more stuff for me to level up. Great game though keep at it!
I personally love this game. It is made with the perfect mix of silliness and competitiveness. I often play this with my friends, by handing off my phone, but what about an online multiplayer? And please add this game to the google play store. But multiplayer would be a great addition. Tournaments with random people online right when you are, a ghost to show your best throw, friend grudge matches... just a though. Thank you for the good game tho
A challenging game in which you ride a unicycle, and try to throw objects long distances. Check out this challenging game in which you ride a unicycle.

We've enjoyed all the games put out by indie developer Unept over the years, but the pinnacle of greatness in that admittedly small library...
