Updated for iOS 16 compatibility.
For serious Canasta players, especially those who play the Triple Play variant, this scorecard is a massive quality-of-life upgrade. It’s not a game itself, but a utility, and it handles the math perfectly so you can focus on the cards. The interface is clean and prevents you from making illegal entries, which is great when the game gets fast-paced.
I particularly like the history feature, which lets you see how your scores have evolved over multiple sessions. It’s a niche product, for sure, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. No more hunting for a pen and paper or arguing over mental math errors at the end of a round. It’s simple, efficient, and well-designed for its specific purpose.
Customized for Triple Play rules
Supports multiple teams and players
Round-by-round score history
Automatic bonus point calculations
Simply tap on the player or team name to open the entry screen. Input the base points and card values separately; the app will automatically sum them and apply any bonuses or penalties for the round.
The app keeps a running tally of each round. If you make a mistake, you can go back into the round history to edit an entry, and the total score will automatically update for the entire game.
While designed for Triple Play, it can be adapted for standard scoring, though some specific Triple Play fields might be redundant.
I have only found one thing that we have had to make adjustments for. The scoring on the Red 3's. We have played that a book of Red 3's is worth 1000 points. So when we get a book we just enter 10 instead of the # in the book (7). Since that option only goes to 19, if we get another Red 3's book we add it to the general score count. Great App! Thank you!
I only have the page to name teams and select game and what card values are. NO SCREEN TO ENTER SCORES AT ALL!!!! I want my money back!!!
