Welcome to the latest update of Travel Town!
We’ve been busy improving the game and addressing bugs for you.
Enjoy!
Travel Town is one of the most polished 'merge' games on the market, succeeding because it wraps its mechanics in a compelling narrative and a beautiful world. The core loop of merging items to fulfill townspeople's requests is familiar, but the sheer variety of 500+ objects makes the discovery phase feel much more rewarding than its competitors. Every time you unlock a new chain of items, there’s a genuine sense of curiosity about what the 'final' item will be.
The 'town building' aspect provides a much-needed long-term goal. As you restore the seaside town from storm damage, you meet a cast of 55 unique villagers who bring the world to life with their own stories. The live events are frequent and offer substantial rewards, which keeps the game from feeling stagnant. While it does use an energy system typical of the genre, the rate of progression feels fair, making it a perfect 'check-in' game for casual sessions throughout the day.

Focus on fulfilling the 'Townspeople Missions' first. These provide the highest coin rewards, allowing you to buy more storage space for your merging board.
Double-tap an item's producer to see its upgrade path. This helps you plan which items to save and which ones to fulfill for missions.
The primary goal is to merge items to fulfill villager requests, which earns you coins to rebuild and upgrade the town's buildings.
I love the game. The artwork is the best. True to your word, you are continually changing things to make the gameplay better and better. Thank you! I have one request. I will not play tasks relating to spiritism. Pretty soon I will not be able to play at all because of the summoning items, crystal balls, etc. that I am required to collect to complete the tasks. Could you perhaps add a feature where we can trash or replace orders that we don’t want to do? You could even attach a penalty, like 1000 coins or 100 diamonds. That way, I could still play. Thank you for considering this. Additionally, you’re in-app purchases are way too high. Since we are dealing with digital items, it doesn’t cost you more if you give us 1000 diamonds rather than 100 diamonds. Why not be generous with what you give us when we pay? I’m sure people will pay (and play) more frequently when the cost is minimal, which could add up to be the same thing for you in profit. If you give people really good value for their money, they tend to spend more. I play another game frequently where they are constantly offering really good items for $.99. And for an extraordinarily large bundle, they might ask for $5.99. Your prices are way beyond that, and frankly not worth it because of how quickly resources get used up. I don’t think your average gamer has lots of money to spare. And there are probably way more of them than those who can afford your high prices. Something to consider.
I found this game while sick, depressed and having anxiety. It was amazing how much it helped me! I really can’t explain why it worked when so many other things did not. I even told my doctor! The graphics are great, the main game is engaging and there are side games and events that keep things busy and interesting. I have had many questions, some technical issues…and I have frequently written to Support. The Support Team is wonderful, caring and empathetic! Love them! I have never bought in app purchases in games before but slowly started in this game since it was really helping me. Aside from the game you are able to trade cards from the card albums with other players and I have had interactions with players in many foreign countries, now with a pen pal friendship with a player in Belize…I am in the USA. Anxiety is now a way of life in my country and so I find great escape and comfort playing Travel Town and look forward to playing every day. I am told some folks only use the free energy you can get to play but that has not been my experience. I justified my spending as it was good for my health and cheaper than more therapy…but I have spent so much now it is really embarrassing and not sustainable on my income! I wish the game was more affordable to play long term. It has been great but expensive!
Let me start off by saying i’m in level 38, so I’ve clearly been hooked to this game for a while now. That being said, the longer I play it, the less I want to. As you go up the levels, the “stacks” no longer give you enough items to keep merging; you have to tap a million times to get the things you need to win money or building materials. Like the pottery, for example- you wouldn’t believe how much I hate that thing. Waste of time. The daily challenges are quite literally impossible to finish unless you spend the 24 hours of the day playing, which is obviously ridiculous and even then I doubt you’ll finish. The stacks that require you no energy to use are annoying because the things come out on their own if there’s nothing around it. Which honestly I doubt it’ll be anyone’s case because they give you basically no room to store the stacks or items you no longer need (mind you, the stacks you started the game with are not useful at all whatsoever past level 10, if I could sell them I would). So yeah, with no energy (because it takes like 3 business days to get it), no room on the board to keep merging, no place to put things away, and having to click a stack 6 times to give you an item you don’t even need and pray you’ll eventually get those you do need to keep merging, i doubt i’ll keep playing the game much longer. A shame, because I actually enjoy it. But it’s more annoying the more you play it. Definitely could use more work and some fixes if you want to keep it engaging.
So I do love this game however it has gotten to the point I want to delete it out of frustration. I feel once you hit a certain level it’s set up so we can fall in order to buy things. I HAVE spent money in this game bc I loved it but now it seems these orders are beginning to get to hard to fill. I run out of energy bc it gives me exactly what I DON’T need- I’ll log in 4 -5 times a day just to see if I can finally fill the order and NOPE. complete opposite crap I don’t need. I wind up going through energy within 1-2 min and let’s be honest; that’s boring. Who wants to play that?! If you can’t see any progress then forget it. It’s like I’m stuck with the same old objects and if I do fill them- it does nothing. I spend DAYS filling an order- for nothing. And let’s talk about these stupid cards. I’ve never won anything off them. I don’t even understand them bc I get a couple and that’s it. No more energy. No nothing. I do like the side games that are on there at times but they need to be on longer. At times I feel I do better on them plus it’s nice you can win stuff and it’ll transfer to your main game. Lord knows we need all the energy we can get for the main game so we can get objects we DON’T need to fill up the board space to not be able to fill anything. When it says I’m out of energy I want to throw my phone. Like what?! It gave me nothing. Same crap Over and over. I’m very close to just deleting it. It WAS fun at first but now it’s boring bc less than a min I’m out of energy with nothing to show for it- nothing happening.
I am at a point where I am almost stuck, it takes several days to complete orders because it takes so much energy to build up the items needed for the orders. Energy is used up quickly and regenerates 1 every 2min (slow). I can quickly use up all 100 energy in 2 minutes…Space on the merge board gets tight, which I can respect and that doesn’t really bother me. I don’t want a game that is completely easy. But I wish I could store away all or more of my buckets into the bucket inventory tab. For some reason I can only store the beach bucket and see no way of opening up the other bucket slots. I also wish I could earn more gems (without paying) so I could at least slowly expand my item inventory tab as well. But I quickly spend all my gems on more energy because that’s the only way you can play longer than a minute at a time. I like the storyline and enjoyed the Halloween theme “mini game”. I didn’t understand why there was a very short “Day of the Dead” challenge mini game in the mix with the main merge game but we also lost power/internet for 2 days so maybe I would have enjoyed or understood it more if I could have played during that time. I also went back to look at the updates being done because the game developers frequently respond to reviews saying they are taking recommendations into account. However, the game update reports don’t give any information. Several of us give the same suggestions but updates don’t report the changes being made and major changes don’t seem to be happening very often.
I got this game because the ads made it look more like a coffee shop themed merge game, which sounded fun. I got to the app page and was disappointed to see it wasn’t, but I thought I would give it a chance anyway since the ad was at least somewhat indicative of gameplay and not a bad soap opera plot showing fake gameplay like some other games I could mention… I really like it! It’s a good game, prices for things that cost gems are reasonable, recharge times are consistent and short enough that I actually want to come back and play throughout the day unlike some other games that take so long I end up playing once a day if that. The art style for the characters isn’t my personal cup of tea, but the rest of the game is really pretty and I like the icons for all the items on my board. My main complaint is that I only ever have three requests at a time, usually only one of which gives smilies, and two of them have items in them that I can’t make currently and have no idea how to create. Having more requests at a time (maybe scaled with level? I’m at level 23 currently and only progressing with the “hidden” requests of three big sandcastles or cutlery sets that only appear when the needed items are on the board) would be helpful. Also, showing what item produces the target item when you select an item’s info page instead of just showing the merge chain would be helpful. I have no idea how to make soap or tea cups, and two of my three requests need those, so I’m essentially down to one request at a time.
Travel Town is a great game, but it also really needs money. I can’t spend, but it needs so much money if you want to play for a long time with out stopping. I love it, but I often have to leave for a couple hours to wait for energy. I was crazy enough to calculate the time I needed to wait for a 100. 3 hours and 20 minutes. So, by that logic, if I run out at, say, 10:43, I have to wait in till 2:03. And if this is at P.M, I waiting in till 2:00 IN THE MORNING. I NEED SLEEP, BUT I’M ADDICTED. So this is likely a me problem, but I do want more energy after the 3 hours 20 minutes than 100. Again, it was probably a me problem. But the game itself is partially the reason, for being so appealing. Another issue is that I’m struggling to get even the easy orders done without extra energy. I know the orders are getting harder, but the point of the easy orders in my opinion is to allow you to finish an order with minimal amount of energy. I would also like for the surprise boxes to automatically pause when you exit the app. I know this would allow you to get more prizes, but they aren’t even given out that often, free or prize. Sorry this is so long! But it is a good game, and it’s still fine with or without these. Do what you want!
This game was fun at first, but as you het higher in level the things needed to advance get more and more complicated to get. This might sound great. Like it’s better because it’s more challenging, but no, it isn’t more challenging. It just takes longer doing the exact same thing you were doing at the lower level. In game you use various generators to make different lines of products. Each generator seems to prefer one of their components more than others, so if I need soup and to merge the soup to higher levels, I might waste all of my energy making fruit salad and never even make one pre soup component. The game also retires these generators at various levels, so you may have spent 3 days leveling up that soup and now there are no more foods needed in the game at all. The absolute worst part of the game is opening it. You cannot start playing without at least 2, maybe up to 6 pop up windows advertising events and special items and sales that they are having. Another dumb feature is that the generators need to recharge when you over use them. They only recharge when you do the overuse though e.g. I use the soup generator 38 times then do other stuff or wait for more energy to regenerate. You would think after 4 hours the generator would be back to normal, unfortunately after 2 more clicks you have to wait for it to recharge. (Hypothetical numbers) Why won’t it refresh while it is sitting idle for 4 hours. Terrible.
